I barely even notice my allies are there until I'm about to punch a guy and then a raging Krogan fuckin' obliterates him with what appears to be a weaponized lamp post
Just tried the Adept, not a huge fan of the Annihilation Field. 60% lower recharge plus getting up close and personal. I think the Krogan Gladiator is the way to go with it. If I could get a recharge accessory plus the native 30% cut, plus Krogan tankyness, should be fun.
I've tried around 6-7 multiplayer matches and haven't extracted yet. Hell, I think I've made it to the extraction round once. I sort of appreciate the difficulty, and lord (and @squall99x ) know I have potatoes for thumbs, but am I perhaps missing something? Do things want to be shot in the crotch instead of the head, or is there some secret multiplayer mojo I don't know about (I did figure out how to switch weapons!)?
im kind of disappointed by the combat in the single player at least
doesnt feel appreciably deeper than me3 and being unable to hotbar your allies powers and only having 3 skills kinda sux 8(
the idea of the cross class interactions is cool but kind of pointless because you dont get cool new detonations by mixing the types. i was hoping they would go for a system more like detonator determines combo shape with primer determining type, so you could use overload on a fire prime to get chain fire or whatever, but its relatively limited. the elemental weapons are similarly not super interesting because they dont interact with your powers as you would hope other than damage bonuses
Nahhhh bruh. I don't want to control my squad mates in a game like this. I just want to focus on flinging myself around that battlefield and that works great here.
That's a Mass Effect staple, though and it's really weird that they omitted it. Sure you can swap profiles/ability loadouts, but that's worthless because it automatically puts everything on cooldown.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

My personal tips to use when doing MP with pubbies:
1) During survival waves, prioritize survival above all else. Know your retreat paths. Use dash and jumppack liberally. Run away if you are in a bad spot. Run away if you are in a bad spot.
2) Use Cobra RPGs on any bosses during objective waves. Every boss. Every objective round. You teammates will likely just sit on objectives and get wrecked by them if you don't.
3) During the extraction wave, stay away from the extraction zone and treat it like a survival wave. When there are 15-20 seconds left, make your way to the extraction zone, pop defensive stuff and take cover.
4) Don't revive teammates with a boss nearby, if they are in the open surrounded by enemies, or if you are low on health.
5) Don't assume your teammates will revive you. If your timer gets below 50% and the team is in a bad spot, use a self revive and go help them.

you can cross combo incenerator and cryblast though
Bless your heart.

Man, I really wish this game had some sort of black emporium option.
Made the perfect Sara but her neck tattoo is starting to bug me.
Shut up. It was an option, how could I not choose one?
theres a moral here about respecting ur body and not desecrating ur skin with disgusting ink u FIEND
just fyi my ryder has a tramp stamp the game doesnt let u choose it but i know its there
I actually think women look amazing with tattoos.
Its just Sara is kind of a giant dork and the scars and tattoos are starting to feeling cringingly out of place. So much regret.
My Sara has a faint but noticeable if you look at her right temple where she hit a space coffee table when Scott pushed her after being beaten ten rounds in a row playing Shattered Eezo as kids.
My headcannon is a dark hole, never ending....

I'm pretending my neck tattoo is just the top of an arm piece that just peeks out. Because I don't like neck pieces but the pattern is pretty cool as like an arm/shoulder/chest piece. This is my brain canon.

For the scars, I think I'm just going to go with Sara got scratched by her cat while trying to give him a bath but just tells everybody she earned them by engaging and killing a wraith armed only with a knife.

Further, it's less true than it was in ME3 since CDs are longer, but powers characters can be easier to start with than weapons based ones because you're not dependant on a good gun dropping.
I'll use mine on Wave 6 bronze. A full extract gives me a good chance of replacing 2 RPGs from basic packs. They're especially nice for destroyers which cluster easily.

Christ. I can't get consumables to save my life. I am rolling in boosters, though.
I'm always running low on RPGs because people like to do things such as completely ignore uploads and HEY GUYS IT DOESN'T WORK WHEN THERE ARE BAD GUYS IN IT!
I hardly use first aid or ammo packs but I did get +1 max to both of those today so that's kind of cool?

I only use it on Wave 5/6 bronze if there are bosses AND its an objective wave.
Otherwise, during survival waves, I can usually run and kite and pick off small stuff before focusing on bosses.

My Sara has a scars on her forehead, which she covers up with a shaggy haircut dyed green
It encompasses both aspects of Sara Ryder. Badass Space Warrior, and Far Too Irresponsible to Be In Charge
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.
I'm still not really sure what kinda build I want to do in singleplayer.
Also it feels like I'm never going to have the resources to develop anything? Like 9 times out of 10 I'm missing at least two resources completely. Wish there was like, a tracking tool so I could remember them.

I was going to go with one of the "I fell on a grille" scars, but then I read you can't change them once you start
aka the "Home Alone" scars.

While I'm still annoyed a portion of your characters skill points are tied to cards. It is nice being able to have a lower level character with a bunch of extra points.
That said it'll probably be a pain for the UR characters.
Speaking of the tattoos, I was looking forward to using the Tetris piece looking one, but it's so awkwardly placed on Sara. It goes like halfway up her cheek, whereas it just barely goes over the jawbone on Scott.
Just another thing that would've been no issue at all with an even slightly robust character creator.
Does it feel like power evolutions are bugged to anyone else? Specifically talking about the Krogan Engineer in multiplayer.
I just tried out two different builts, one with Overload, Incinerate maxed and the Offensive Tech evolution for bonus combo damage; And one only with Overload maxed, Incinerate at 4 ranks and no Offensive Tech upgrades.
Just due to the (missing) combo evolution upgrade difference between the two they should do substantially different damage, yet on silver difficulty a fire explosion on both resulted in exactly half health off of a normal, unshielded outlaw.

If it has eyes or glowy bits and you can hit them hit them. That seems to work for most things. On the big mech it has two gun turrets that can be shot off to cut its damage output by a lot. Most things though heads or glowing eye bits are where the soft spots are.

It would not surprise me in the least if combat things aren't working properly.
I'd post this on reddit or their forums to get it noticed.
I don't understand any of the technical modding or weapon stuff but I got a Carnifex II pistol and put a thing on it and now it has infinite ammo with a six shot cool down.

Gotta say, tech explosions got beefed the hell up. Fire explosion happens, that's some fireworks there.
take the dhan shotgun and put homing plasma bolts on it
presto chango its shooting 800 damage homing plasma bolts with infinite range

Not sure if that's actually what you're referencing
But that's the exact kit of the Krogan multi char released today
you can cross combo incenerator and cryblast though
That will probs be my gun of choice. But no need for homing because I will fire it point blank into their head for BONUS HEADSHOT DAMAGE!
it rocks my socks

Spam ye combos.
I'm pretty sure this is going to be terrible.

Also only if its an objective based wave. Other wise the bosses are easy to kite and save till last.

When the helmet was on in the starting planet though the hair being covered meant you could see the scars just fine. Was kind of neat.

If I do another playthrough or give up on my Ryder because his chin annoys me so much before I get too far in, I'd like to use my twin.
