Does it feel like power evolutions are bugged to anyone else? Specifically talking about the Krogan Engineer in multiplayer.
I just tried out two different builts, one with Overload, Incinerate maxed and the Offensive Tech evolution for bonus combo damage; And one only with Overload maxed, Incinerate at 4 ranks and no Offensive Tech upgrades.
Just due to the (missing) combo evolution upgrade difference between the two they should do substantially different damage, yet on silver difficulty a fire explosion on both resulted in exactly half health off of a normal, unshielded outlaw.
i did some experimentation in single player and there was no combo damage difference between rank1 incinerate rank 1 overload and rank6 incinerate rank 1 overload which was interesting
hard to get numbers tho

as a note on melee weapon behaviour
by FAR the best melee weapon is the asari huntress sword
crazy base damage but most importantly it teleports you before you attack - its range is enormous as a consequence, as you do a little teleport forwards and a minidash if theyre far away, but the teleport is smart and adjusts for your relative positioning so it wont over or undershoot you. it also seems to make you a bit invulnerable while its going off
this means it feels 93.47% less ass than, say, the kett fire sword

Right, I really wanna do some testing because both combo damage and pure damage are lackluster. I understand not wanting a level 1 overload to strip the shields of everything, but at least in Mass Effect 3 fully upgraded fo shield damage you could strip things like Marauders etc. of their shields.
Have managed to unlock very few high level teams in multiplayer as I'd been focusing on Bronze packs to get the base items to 10
Opening all my free packs though netted me a Widow, a Krogan with a flamer, and a Scorpion, and a few other guns I haven't tried yet.
Scorpion is OP as hell in this game, it's amazing. Stick guy with grenade, run up and headbutt, run away again as they explode behind you like an action hero

So, no bullshit or LOL TERRIBLE memes, MP does feel a lot worse than ME3?
It feels like hit detection and movement aren't where they should be. It just feels super fuzzy/loose.
Loose is a good word for imo. I've been using as few automatic weapons as I can because I never feel like I'm hitting something even at mid range. The movement could also use another pass. I jumped up onto a ledge, and turned around to watch my teammate try 3 times in a row and sliding off during the clamber animation.
This is the male Ryder I made before deciding that the facial distortions we're too much and switching to the default. But he looks pretty decent standing still.

How do you upload your Ryder after you already started?

During character creation there is an option to upload your parameters. Not sure if that's something you can do retroactively if the option wasn't checked at the start of the game.
How do you upload your Ryder after you already started?
Just sign in with your ea account on the archive website. Should auto detect any characters you've made.

Nevermind, found it.
This is pretty dumb though, they've picked an awful angle to show them off.
Here's my Ryder in the Archives, and here's my Ryder ingame.
What even is the point of the website, if a character that looks great ingame looks garbage on the site? Will the ones that look good on the site look awful in game, in turn?
Clearly Vetra had a late night research bender on your dime.

I think the only thing the Archives website will be useful for is to have a link you can share to people along with other screenshots, shared somewhere else besides the Archives site. I don't think the site itself will be useful.
Yeah I don't really understand now just having a shareable image.

How does everyone play this game? Do folks sort of play as how they would handle the situation based on their own real life response, or do you role play? In the past I've definitely role played as whoever I think suits the situation more but I was thinking of going at it from a personal response. How fluid is the choice system in this? Reading through this thread it seems pretty positive so far.

Can anyone tell me if Nova still offers invincibility frames and is it cancelable?
I think its has I-frames yes (and I think they're legit ones this time as I have yet to be knocked out of it.
But not cancelable.
It is cancelable. You just have to be in mid air for it. No animation, but still explosion
Wow, great news. Can you describe in more detail how to cancel out of Nova? With a dodge at the correct time or? I can't seem to get it work on PS4. Cheers.

theres less choice i would say than the first mass effect series - there are individual choices, but theres less "good/bad" and more "what do you prioritise"
theres more say in your ryders... character... but even that is limited in the sense that she always has a few slightly goofy lines
So apparently I turned down that 'help my husband in prison' quest and there's no way to get it back?
All because the game gave me the option of saying 'yes right away' or 'there's a lot of stuff going on, I'll look into it when if I can'. And I picked the second one because it's obviously the most sensible response.
But nope in game logic that was refuse this mission.

The link allows you to import the face into your own game directly. So the link itself is useful if somebody provides you screenshots in some other way to demonstrate that it looks good in game

First play through I usually do what I would do in a situation like this, and in mass effect for some reason always go full soldier. Then later play troughs I usually tried renegade but couldn't bring it over me..
This time I'll probably play the other gender and try to go full casual jack O'Neil mode
I love that long range is a thing again but I hate that the AI just stands around not being able to figure out what is going on as I snipe them from 200m.
Sometimes they take cover, so there's that. Not much help to them when I'm lobbing giant "fuck you" rounds at them, however.
yo what the fuck is this conversation with Suvi after Eos?
there's a correct response to your new coworker/employee openly declaring their religion the second time you ever talk to them: it's politely changing the subject in a noncommittal way.
it's not "yeah, me too"
and it's definitely not "actually god is fake"
especially when said new coworker is a cute redhead that maybe you might want to ask out sometime and neither lying to her nor insulting her worldview are particularly endearing
