Starward Rogue in the face after I finished getting my wishlist to 31, which IS a prime number.
Now to fly a mecha. Into doom. Over and over again.
This game often gets overshadowed by its hipper relatives, Nuclear Throne and Enter The Gungeon.
I think this is a shame because Starward Rogue is easily in the same league as these two in the gameplay department. And as far as the Arcen Funk goes, they use it to endearing effect in this one. It's easily their best since Bionic Dues and it should have totally done way better. It also has far more interesting bullet patterns, different movement modes including a focus fire mode (yes!), and tons of pickups, weapons, different room types, an absolutely insane amount of enemies. Even more bullets. A boss named Wallmaster.

Damn fun and a pleasant break from all the European focus fantasy and monsters we get in most games.
I enjoyed lord of the rings and D&D themed games, but everyone copying the setting over and over just diminishes the impact.
I'm no longer excited when an orc bursts into the room, unless he's wearing a great hat.
Exactly this. It's like I woke up, and, suddenly: I hate high fantasy. It's just--over. No matter how much fake history world-building has gone into it, I now find it boring. And I used to love D&Dish games and re-read LOTR every year or two. I'm more into sci-fi or whimsical fuckery now because at least there's a chance it'll be original. The last games with atmospheres I've really enjoyed have been Binding of Isaac, Sproggiwood, Enter the Gungeon, Shadowrun, Halcyon 6, and DoomRL.

God Eater 2: Rage Burst is officially finished. After I finally got past the part I was having trouble with, it was surprisingly smooth sailing from there... aside from me bringing the wrong weapon element to the final boss. But with that, I'm now ready to lend a hand to anyone else who might want help getting through this monster game.
Seriously. I have 139 hours logged in it. You could probably take off one or two from ragequitting that horrible marathon at Rank 14... and eight hours after I went to bed and forgot I'd alt-tabbed out of it...
Ended up winning a key for Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, a stupidly named game made in the vein of DayZ and H1Z1, where you jump out a plane, grab gear and weapons, and be the last surviving players while the map becomes smaller and smaller due to a wall pushing in. It's pretty buggy, as one expects from a beta, but it's not bad. Just wish it wasn't so DayZ/H1Z1.

Sounds like you need to play Arcanum
Can you imagine what a world would look like if Arcanum got the Enhanced Edition treatment?
We're now in April & still the only information we have for a Friday the 13th: The Game release date is "early 2017." They say that they're preparing for launch now & they have raised over $2 million from backer campaigns. Watching people play the beta was a ton of fun when it was out, so I hope they've improved on some of the issues from then & will have a fun game at launch.

Yeah the beta was pretty interesting, weird that there isn't any more news.
Alas it now falls into my "no pvp games" rule for the sake of my blood pressure and not being an ass to everyone I play with.
Blame Captain Morgan, or Class. Whichever helps you sleep better you monster. Know that I'm in for a world of hurt because I answer to a higher power who's going to fuck me up.
@Scratchy or @Antoshka either or are complete monsters
Guess I better start worshiping the Nep

@CorriganX can also be included in that list of complete monsters.

Move update!
So the move to my new house is pretty much complete. We have some odds and ends things at the old house but today should knock that out. I'd say we are a good 90% done.
After we get settled in my next project begins, building my room

So what would your overall evaluation of the game be? This is one I seriously have my eye on for the future and want to know if it was a worthwhile 130+ hours.
Traded in some old games I don't want as part of my collection as well as two old regular 3DS units and now I've got $200 in steam credit waiting for the Summer Sale.

So I've fallen into the rabbit hole. (OK, so maybe I jumped.)
My wife was going to buy Skyrim SE on PS4 the other day but I remembered that at some point I bought the game and all DLC at some insanely stupid low price through Steam. So I set it up for her to play with the DS4 controller.
Then I realized I can mod it. I got MO set up, along with LOOT, SKSE, Wyre Bash, and ENB. I've cleaned out duplicate files across the base and DLC packs. I set up the optimized HD textures so I could uninstall the official HD pack. Got the unofficial patches installed. Installed SkyUI, the Static Mesh Improvement Mod, and Enhanced Lights and FX. I'm eyeing Immersive Armor and Weapons, and an NPC overhaul. Also want to grab flora and water replacements.
They couldn't have done this like, a decade or two ago when I had summers off and nothing but free time?
I'm really curious to see how this turns out. According to the bigger preview article that Polygon wrote about the game, preproduction started the year I moved to the Champaign-Urbana area, which is where Volition is based. I went to a party that was full of Volition employees that year who were talking about how excited they were about the new project they were working on, although they were understandably very tight-lipped about it there. I missed out on two opportunities for game playtesting with them, both of which were probably for Agents of Mayhem. The first time it was canceled by them; the second time it clashed with my work schedule.
And now the game is coming out right around the time I'm likely moving away!

Yeah, reading this Polygon article, it seems like Volition might be making completely not the game for me. They also seem to think people don't care about The Boss because nobody cosplayed as them, but um....it's a character that can look like anything. Of course more people are gonna cosplay as Shaundi/Pierce/Gat/etc. So they're doubling down hard on character(s), which only works of the character is worth their salt at all.

So are there any good Jurps in the anime sale?
That's even sillier, since most of it is streaming on CRs site for free.

Way too much platforming in the last section.
Curb stomped the minibosses but had a tough time with the real final boss.
Now just Twin dragons.

And thank you @HyphyKezzy for FF III. I have been plucking away at that.
Not around stream still. All the money I saved for a steam controller I ended up using for a mixer. Back to saving before the sale. .
@Scratchy is a complete monster. All I did was make a bad pun!
Who is the monster here?
@Raiden333 for not accepting gifts. Clearly.
@Scratchy You won't forget this, I won't let you forget this

Thank you much @TetraRay for Rimworld, but you need to stop. Your birthday is before mine.

No more @ The madness has to stop. Thank you, Scratchy, for Hyper Light Drifter!
I've really been looking forward to that game, and the several others that were on my wish list. My backlog did not need this attack
Edit: I'd do it all again. Twice probably.

Oh hey, they just put out a trailer for it. Definitely leaning on the 80s stuff with the A-Team theme:
Yeah, I suppose my interest in this game will rest on the tone of the game and if they're able to nail it without being fucking annoying.
This preview from GamesRadar seems to indicate that as of right now, the game is a little too....quip heavy and annoying. We can all smell when a game is trying so hard to be funny, so hopefully it works out. Then again, I thought the pathos of Saints Row IV was better than the zany humor of Saints Row 3, so maybe I'm the weirdo.

Death Road To Canada got cards over the weekend. I got a dupe Valkyrie if anyone has a dupe I don't have.
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is coming April 5th. Pretty Hyped about that one.
