I keep seeing GooH on sale for <$4, but hadn't been sure about it.
The flying in GooH is way different. In SR4 you kind of glided, but in GooH you have actual wings and fly kind of like Batman does in Arkham City if you've played that. I personally have a hell of a time flying well in GooH because I can't get used to the controls, but I can see how people might like it better.
I warmed to Kingdom pretty early as it's a nice, fairly hands off strategy game, but I had hoped not literally. Yet last night's session had me looking for the games pulse as it was so lax during a time of me unintentionally tanking my in-game economy, I put the controller down in the desk and waited for nearly 30 mins for the simulation to give me enough resources to continue developing my little township.
This game sure is lucky that it's so beautiful standing still otherwise it's be dropped like the first 10 purchases on Steam that haven't yet been installed
So I've managed to get fairly far into Planescape Torment and I had some questions for anyone who has played it.
1. Is there a better way to make some jink than grinding the monsters in Undersigil?
2. Is the Modron Maze as bad as I've heard?
3. I have the gate and key to go find Ravel. About how much of the game is left at this point?
1. Cheats!
2. I remember it being tough in spots, but not too bad. I recommend using a guide.
3. I want to say maybe halfway, or just short.

I don't recall having to grind for dolerydoos, what're you looking to buy @McHoger ?
So I started Wolfenstein: The New Order. I'm loving it, but I can only play in small bursts due to it inducing nausea, which is unfortunate because the game is amazing. I'm going to power through it slowly, barfing be damned! Hopefully, this will be one of the games where I can get accustomed enough to play in longer bursts.

Oh shit, speaking of BlazBlue, looks like Central Fiction drops on Steam in about a day.
Who's wants to be terrible at animu games with me.
Oh man. I just bought God Eater but I was waiting for that to come to steam awhile ago.
Just yet another big name game hitting PC. It really is getting way too good for us anymore.
I love fighting games, but all the ones I like (basically not SF) don't get played much around here. The one thing I would fear is BB is the same thing.

1. Selling the single use items you're hoarding but will never use? The combat in that game is such a drag back on the whole experience that I can't imagine deliberately grinding more of it!
2. It's p bad, but not too difficult if you draw a map. Nordom is worth it.
3. 2/3rds through? Maybe a bit further. It's certainly not the final area or anything.
I am a strange dude, and Im going to play through the plot of earlier games first before jumping into the newest one (because let's be honest, I woul get destroyed in multiplayer anyway). Right now i'm on Continuum Shift Extend, so I guess I should finally finish this.

I'll admit to being jaded when I hear the Kingdoms of Amalur name; only because it reminds me how Curt Shilling tanked that whole situation. I mean, I know R.A Salvatore was involved with the game's development, but I hear the game's name and I'm instantly turned off. I hope I'm wrong and the game itself is fun.

I did increase the FOV to 90 from 80. I could try increasing it some more.

But my question is, is it the ultimate final Blazblue?
Are they going to make a sequel in six months called BlazBlue NovelumBlastorum or whatever.

To be fair, Amalur was developed by Big Huge Games, which had a history before (e.g. Rise of Nations back in the Microsoft days), and 38 Studios bought them to help keep itself afloat while Schilling fucked around with his MMO shit.
Him helping tank Big Huge Games is just but one of the many on the list "Fuck Curt Schilling For Reals."

The game is a lot of fun. The skill stats are sort of a call back to CRPG skills (Find Hidden, Persuasion, Lockpicking/Dispelling, etc), in which you place points and get special abilities in each category with enough points in each skill. The class system is sort of loose, and I was constantly a Jack of All Trades, as that allowed me to basically be pretty OK at everything (and max out my Skill points for every skill). You can respec if you have the financial means, which is pretty easy if I remember right, so you can try out multiple different combat and play styles. The combat is like something out of a spectacle fighter-ish game, with huge sweeping arcs and destructive magical attacks sort of baked in to the combo system. Part of me feels like it was what Dragon's Dogma's battle system wanted to be, at least in part. And then the world and gameplay itself is like a wonderful, colorful, vast MMOG in single player mode. There is so much to do, and straight up if you finish every quest, you'll outlevel the entire game; as a person who Always Plays On Easy™, play the game on at least normal.

And to touch on the difficulty, if you dig into the armor and weapon crafting system and do lots of the aforementioned side quests, even the hardest difficulty isn't a daunting challenge.
It's not one I recommend completely, as enemies do have a large amount of hp bloat at the hardest difficulty, but it's an option if you were like me and enjoyed having longer fights.
I second the description of the battle system. I played the magic knight class or whatever it was called. Used a greatsword and chakram combo along with some decent magic usage and had tons of fun.

About the worst complaint that can be leveled at Amalur is that it's too easy, and for some folks who need 24/7 challenge, that's going to result in a pass, but if you're good with not being super challenged all the time, then hell yeah Amalur is great.
And pretty, did we mention pretty?

If I recall correctly (it's been a few years), I found Amalur a bit un-fun to play with a keyboard and mouse, it seemed to me as very much a game designed to be played with a controller.
Before following any advice, opinions, or thoughts I may have expressed in the above post, be warned: I found Keven Costners "Waterworld" to be a very entertaining film.

Hi everyone! Allow me to sing to you the praises of Cloud Pirates:
It's a free to play 7v7 pvp based game. It's basically a mix of War Thunder and Fractured Space. You control a flying pirate ship and you and your team battle enemy teams over various objectives. The types of battles I've played so far are: team deathmatch, capture the objective, convoy (where you battle over an objective and if your team wins it spawns an NPC ship which you have to escort back to the payload dropoff), and treasure hunt.
You pick your ship's loadout before the battle, which makes it more akin to War Thunder than a MOBA, there's no leveling up or item purchasing once in the game. Each ship has various abilities which you kit out before the fight. Abilities include stealth, torpedo swarm, teleport, turrets, etc.
Overall super fun and totally playable without having to spend a cent.
Need an award for your game?
Why not make up your very own award. :rotate:

I started last night and it's pretty great so far. And perfect for someone like me who likes RPGs, but not often looking for a challenge. If I am looking for a challenge, I usually go for a game like VVVVVV or super meat boy. I just don't like challenging gameplay to get in the way of story, exploring, loot, etc. Also, sometimes at the end of the day I just want to play a game where I am super OP and destory everything. It's why I still like playing doom on I'm too young to die.

This right here is why I play a lot of RPG type games on Easy/Casual these days. I can get all the challenge I want in other games. When I'm role-playing, I wanna feel awesome and kick all the asses. Also, most RPGs use HP bloat as a difficulty slider and I despise wailing on something with a greatsword for 10 minutes to kill it.

Wasn't there another popular game that was piloting a dirigible with a crew of four fighting other crews in a dog fighting manner?
