Oh boy, a "name that source" thread!
This has been bugging me for a while -- can anyone identify the dialogue at the beginning of this song? (From about 0:22)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgVbb7oJJCY
For anyone who can't listen to it for whatever reason, a rough transcript:
1 - We're having a little party in our penthouse bungalow -- and we want you to drop in for a minute!
2 - I'm sorry, but I - I haven't time.
1 - Oh, what's your hurry? Wouldn't you like a little excitement for a change?
2 - What - what kind of a party?
1 - Nothing much, just a little sociability, some music.
2 - Music? What kind of music?
1 - Like you never heard before: swing music. Also we have eight or ten beautiful girls.
2 - Well, you know they don't interest me. Eight girls, or nine girls, or ... ten beautiful girls, you say?
1 - Yes. Oh, you owe it to yourself to look the place over. Just out of curiosity!
I've tried Googling but most of the unique dialogue -- "penthouse bungalow" and "ten beautiful girls" -- doesn't
quite get me what I want. And all of the lists I can find for Steinski's samples don't include this song, and the Jurassic 5 original doesn't include this sample. (Hence, I suppose, the name of the mix.) If I had to
guess I'd say it's from a 60s-70s spy film, but that's not a genre I'm hugely familiar with.
Thanks, Help And Advice!

The article references where some of the samples are from. My guess is it's from a 1960's dance instructional video.
One of the things with mixing like this is you treasure bizarre vinyl or other sound sources. It's possible or even likely that the video the audio is sampled from exists nowhere on the internet.
I get your point about bizarre sources etc, but Steinski uses a lot of fairly well-known films in his mixing, so it feels as if it could easily be a film I'm just not familiar with. (To be honest I'm not sure where you get the "dance instructional" vibe from -- the party is clearly a trap! Otherwise that's the most sinister invitation I've yet heard.)
-Indiana Solo, runner of blades
You could also just try e-mailing him at info at steinski.com - website is kind of dead but you never know! I'd also suggest asking the folks at whosampled.
