Already beat all of WoFF, so back to other content...
I created Ifrit and Shiva and honed them along with Ramuh to Rank 4 in preparation for a semi-grindy battle. And then Garnet's BSB2 broke this battle over her knee for CMD2 of 40k/turn. And Terra chipped in to make it even more hysterical by doublecasting Maduin twice also for ~40k/turn. I purposely slowed down damage in order to create a single token Orb in Phase 2 before blitzing past and then kept destroying it.
Anyone try this with a BSB summon rw?
There's no reason it wouldn't work. I've seen Garnet's BSB1 recommended as a good one to use to blow up Phase 3.

Not as sure on phase 1, now that I think about it. If I want to hone existing skills I need wind and dark, and if I want to prep for future skills (Tempest Snipe, Icicle Shot, Ruby Spike) I need lightning and dark, and I'm further behind on lightning. Current totals:
Sidenote, whatever happened to Power orbs? There's literally nothing coming up that uses them, and if it weren't for Guard Bringer we'd never need Holy or Earth again. It's mostly Black, Dark, Non and Lightning coming up, with some secondary ice.
Heh, apparently Boundless Nemesis can drop greater summon orbs. So if you've got him on farm, you can get the best orb per stamina efficiency on that fight. :X

I have never been good at hoarding, it's true. There are very few things I've saved up more than 2 pulls for that I actually have; Locke's Valiant Knife, Y'shtola's Wall and Papalymo's Faithga are pretty much it. I have a lot of good stuff but it's all random things from dungeon lucky draws, 100 gem pulls or unplanned festival acquisitions.
The downside is I have 0 mythril now. I was going to spend this 50 on FF3 banner 2, and while I can still put 50 there it'll have to wait until towards the end of the banner. And I'll only be able to do that because of the Portal app reward of 10 mythril on the 14th, and the extra incoming from the new daily dungeons. And that'll depress my stock for the next FFV event a bit, but what can you do, eh? Before that is the dungeon update, which I can clean it out and blow 23 mythril + 120 gems on that lucky draw, and be back at 0 again, but it's FF3/12/14 and I could use lots of things from those realms.
Saving is for suckers, though; look at the horror stories of people who saved 400, 500, 600 mythril and didn't get the thing they were chasing.

Just treat it as an old fashioned damage SSB+ and mash that button for the kill shot when it pops up? Or would you build mage team around them plus another mage and have an entrust bot fuelling the mages assuming the other one has a decent SB/BSB?

I'm in this situation with Hope and I have settled on just using him normally and doing a wad of damage at the end. If you have an enElement for that caster the math probably changes in favor of Entrusting, though.

Either is fine, really, but there's nothing wrong with using something like Chain Firaga to hit a weakness then dropping a 40x Earth/Non or Lightning/Non OSB towards the end of the fight.

This is what I do when I bring Rinoa (OSB and a one of her shitty SB's). Summon Raines to give everyone a magic boost, then drop a quickcast meteor on some fool.

Only in Lucky Draws, which Sunday's DU drop will have, and there's at least one more DU update between that drop and whatever DU# Japan is in with III in it. Soooo, at least 3 more windows of opportunity?
Personally, I'm going maybe 200 mythril deep again on Banner 2 to try for it, and hope for a disco ball or two to go with it. If it's not meant to be, then so be it.
Everyone please note that the ream missions/half stamina cost event was NOT extended, so don't put those off if you haven't finished them.
Also, I guess I'm back to agonizing over whether or not to pull on banner 1. And maybe some others. Might as well wait until after the lucky, at least.

It seems like a more powerful stat stick for her and other Magic Sword users than anything. Pump it full of Rosettas and enjoy the utility that having 60 extra MAG over most 5* MAG weapons have.
Hm. Will consider. I have a 7* Blood Sword as it is, but having another such weapon might come in handy.
Still have like a week to decide, between this, WOFF, and neither.

Mistakes were made 2/11: Quistis' Dress (double dupe so I guess now it's 8*), Enuo's Scourge (I have literally 0 dark users so I don't care even as a stat stick)
Oh well, it's fine, Mythril Planner showed I was way positive against my targets so this isn't the end of the world

In a vacuum? She's still a BLM5 SMN5, so any time she can hit a weakness with those abilities she can charge bar.
Good chunk of upcoming stuff's weak to Lightning element. Higher difficulties are coming, which means longer fights. Ashe with R3 Chain Thundaga + BSB + OSB could do some serious work in them, but it's not like you need the OSB for that sentence to be true.
I almost hit that go button, but...I beat nemesis, and aside from challenge modes, that I'm starting to take a bit more seriously now but still not stressing out about, I can safely clear pretty much all relevant content, so I think I'm good on relics.

All of the good stuff either comes back or is powercrept. As a recent example, people (like me) chased Setzer's BSB because it's great and it "wasn't coming back." Surprise, JP just got a new event that has it reappearing, along with a new USB for Setzer, plus Legend Materia relic, plus both of his SSBs, etc. Onion's burst will probably be back in 8 months or whenever the next III event that we don't know about yet happens. Even if it doesn't, other characters (Snow, Mog) have started getting bursts with party haste plus stacking buffs, so there'll be something similarly good to chase if you aren't looking specifically for Onion items.
Banners 2 and 3 are like 2/14 on relics good enough to tempt me, so no sense revisiting those.
Banner 4 is a coinflip. 5 solid OSB/BSBs (mostly due to me valuing a good +holy stat stick highly; Minfilia's ATK really tends to lag), 5/14 dupes, and 4/14 SSBs that straddle the line of "decent". I'll probably cave; I don't think any upcoming banner is better than a coinflip for me until the next fest.
And 1 I'll probably pull once on if I don't miraculously get Vaan's BSB on Sunday.
