For anyone NOT following the Todd story, and I'm not printing his full name because I want to avoid him picking it up on his whiny radar...
I spent the last twenty plus hours perusing his T-Shirt hovel. I have catalogued several abuses, some of which I will detail here just because it's self-aggrandizing and fun.
General Mills Lucky Charms brand - Mr. T G has a shirt featuring clovers and the copyrighted phrase "Magically Delicious". This has been brought to their attention by yours truly.
Random House publishing - Another shirt on the site has four fish that, though they have the appearance of being drawn by a three-year-old, bear a resemblance to the Dr. Seuss book "One Fish, Two Fish". The shirt even features the words "Red Fish, Blue Fish". I couldn't resist. This too, has been linked up to the owner of the work.
Midway Entertainment - Space Invaders sprites, completely unaltered (ok, except for scale and luminosity) appear on a shirt with no other text. Midway actually has a link on their site specifically for reporting IP infringement. I made good use of it.
Slave Labor Graphics - OK, a lot of people have mentioned the similarity to nailbunny on a particular character on TG's site. I ignored that because the link is too tenuous. There was, however, a shirt on the site that featured a charicature of a disgruntled milk carton with a phrase about milk going bad. Anyone who's read the comic "Milk and Cheese" knows the tagline "Dairy Products Gone Bad!" and will hopefully elicit the same response from the nice fellows over at SLG.
Man, there was more, but I'm honestly too boned to think about it right now. I've been awake for too long with this. I will post updates as I receive them, at least until TG has his lawyer from Shutts-law.com post a cease-and-desist.
Plagiarists should die slow and horrible deaths, beaten and scourged sharply by their own stolen works.
