MASTER SWORD! Kind of cheesy that it did the whole "Oh you're about to die claiming this weapon " fake out where it stopped when i only had 25% of a heart left.

I straight up died the first time I tried that

Actually almost every story I have that involves things taking damage includes an anecdote about me straight up dying

I must have had the barest of minimum health to get through it then because it came out at like the final pip

Yup, if you have the exact number (13 I think?) then it stops at the last quarter. Otherwise... The Deku tree will stop you once if you don't have enough, with a warning of "If you try that again, you're on your own". And indeed, you try again without the required hearts, it will kill you if you don't stop.

Stared up Hyrule Warriors, pressed R to scan Amiibo, scanned Wolf Link Amiibo, got lvl 4 700 Twilight Midna Mirror Shield. Annoyed because Twili Midna is one of my wife's main characters and the best thing it's given me for Dorf was a lv3 POS.

*screams like a child* "OH COME ON!"

That's fine though, her Twili Midna is only lvl 80, I got Dorf up to 240 last night.

Can't seem to get very far in the Master trial.

Now the game is just trolling me. Amiibo scans gave Midna a 700 weapon, Link a 700 spinner, and Dorf some non special trident. Link with Spinner is also one of my wife's favorites.

Nothing is more hilarious than getting multiple 1 rupees in a row. One time I got 4. That's like giving a waiter a one cent tip - the insult makes it worse than getting nothing.

The suck of it is my wife is right and I shouldn't complain. Her highest level character is Linkle at 145, I got Dorf to 247 tonight. He's still OP as hell, with the 500 sword being a cherry on top. 700 or 800 would be ridiculous at this point.

To tie it in with your point, it'd be like a billionaire whining about only making $1million today doing nothing.

The one "cheat" for the Master trial is that while you can't bring any inventory items with you into it, you can eat food and carry the food bonuses in with you. So if you brew up a thing that gives you a ton of max hearts and another thing that gives you multiple minutes of increased armor or increased attack power, you can blow your way through the early floors with a minimum of fuss.

Headshotting things with the bow is very strong because of its stunning effect, so naturally gliding + archery is great.

Being efficient with what food you do find also helps a lot.

Two tries and the final trial has fallen to my might!
Not going to lie the only reason i won was because i discovered a second set of 3x ancient arrows in a hidden chest in one of the fire areas. Those Six arrows carried my ass.

Yeah, that trial is all about finding and managing the easy kill items.

I never got that far in Master mode though, as the regenerating health made one floor nigh-impossible.
The pier with lizalfos on it. If you knock them into the water, they're almost guaranteed to get all their health back by the time they get back to you, and I inevitably use up all my weapons trying to wear them down.

Checking online, I haven't seen anyone doing it without sneak attacking all of them, and I just never managed to pull that off.

AFAIK there is one weapon and one shield that have limited number in the world, and do not respawn. Everything else either respawns or can be bought from a future store.

3 total that exist out in the world that you can just pick up I think. I'm pretty sure I've found a lot of them in chests though.

The only reason to fret over possible missable weapons is because you take pictures of them to add to the compendium. And you can just buy the pictures outright so you're not screwed out of anything.

Anything missable is also just mid tier stuff. Like the weapon in the spoiler is a good sword, but there's so much better out there that does respawn. So it being gone from the world isn't a terrible loss or anything.

I'm not sure that is true about the weapon you mention there anyway.
You can always do the Korok Trial The Test of Wood again and get the sword that way.

That sounds right about the shield though, also
The Hylian Shield, I don't think respawns?

Keep in mind that Klemming is referring to the Master Mode regeneration. It's not that Lizalfos will regenerate if you knock them into the water, it's that if you knock them into the water, you won't be able to follow up with further damage to suppress the regeneration that all monsters get in Master Mode.

After finishing the trial the first time, he takes the sword away if you quit or finish it on repeat attempts. So that's one, then two in chests. Once they're gone, it's gone. Not a big deal, but one of the few things that aren't infinitely available in BotW

I just love how so many interesting NPC's dot the landscape.
Literally found a random lady up in the cliffs in the middle of nowhere cooking at a cook pot surrounded by garbage she gets super angry if you try to use the cook pot though which is unfortunate because i used the last of my food on a Talus and Lynel that were chilling at the base of the cliff

I'm a big fan of all the Yiga Clan weirdos and their dialog. Like the one who tries to sell you bananas and when you refuse he just shouts "What?! Do you hate bananas?!" and then its battle time.

And how adamant they are about how you're going to die and then with zero urgency you hit them once or twice and they're done for.

I actually talk to every NPC i run across while exploring.

My favorite NPC so far has been Loona the crazy lady rubbing all up on a shrine orb robinson crusoe style.
Seriously that NPC has serious bed eyes over that orb

I think my issue is that they mainly spawn on the roads and i rarely follow the roads directly so i miss out on them spawning or something. Horse question
I have Epona but i like to collect unique mounts in games and all the horses seemed the same but after killing 2 Silver lynel i found a clearing that had this huge black horse that was like twice as big as other horses i had to use stamina food and boost just to ride it and it fought like crazy all the way back to the stable are there more like that?

Aye,there's very little incentive to use roads.

The only one I can think of is that horses naturally follow the road while riding, allowing you to look around, etc..

I really don't like the Yiga once they start to randomly attack. I'm not a big fan of any kind of enemy that appear out of nowhere (nighttime sucks). They're not hard to defeat - they're just annoying. It's much cooler when the world feels organic and the enemies have believable hang out spots or movements.

There are several, but only a couple that you can save at stables, for various reasons but it is very worth the time to experiment!

One reason to not use Epona is that she can't use the bridal that lets you just teleport your horse to you wherever you are.
A good normal and (I think) unique horse shows up as part of a sidequest, where it's the descendent of Zelda's horse. You need a ton of stamina to catch it though, so make sure you've got some boosts for that if you're not maxed out (I don't think it needs the full three circles, but it definitely needs more than two).
