With the new patch the talent window no longer comes up automatically when you reach a new talent level. Anyone know if there is some way to change this back? I'm bad at remembering to pick talents if the window isn't there.
I noticed I was missing talent levels a lot last night, and an Uther in one of my games had no level 13/16 talents picked at the end of the game. I thought it was just me sucking, but it seems the patch must have done something to make talents less obvious.
The window only pops open for me automatically about half the time now. No idea why.

Abathur seems like a bad choice for the new map. He provides no pushing presence for the payloads, and the highly mobile nature of the map makes it seem like it will be hard for him to position aggressively.
This is why I wish you could switch heroes or have it set to a set list to quickly switch to
I'm torn on the talent window not popping up, i have missed talents once or twice, but I think it's worth the trade to not have the talent window pop up unexpectedly and perhaps block a chunk of the screen I need visuals of at the moment. So i think I actually prefer it this way.
The talent window should pop up from a design perspective imo. The only time I've actually had a problem with that has literally been at the start of the game, when I start on the right side, and I immediately click over left to move out and misclick my level 1 talent :P.
Now I'm thinking I'm misremembering the window still popping up, huh.

Yeah, I think so. The map just seems too small? Like, on Towers of Doom, it's big enough that you can get a lot of soaking/pushing benefits from him. I'm doubtful the same thing will work on Hanamura.
Something I noticed perhaps odd about Hanamura is that fake clones (eg Samuro or Nova) don't contest the payload. Had a Samuro run up, dump a couple clones and apparently run off because the payload kept speeding right along as we dealt with them.
Same thing on capture points (like Braxis), only the real character can contest so it's easier to tell when you're engaging them.
On a Collection bug note, I permanently have it showing 1 new item in my Voice items, but I've gone through completely and moused over every voice line I own and it won't go away.
And the Space Horse looks so good in game!
If you right-click the voice tab at the top there should pop up an option to mark all as viewed.
Maybe Aba could be ok on Hanamura though? I mean, you spend a lot of time out of lanes on that map, so even if he's just in fort, he'll continuously push that lane down, and can just make all the 1v1s and 2v2s and other small fights that happen on that map work out in your favor. But yeah, he can't position aggressively to soak on it for sure.

Every once in a while I'll see a mount with stars scrolling through it, kind of like Nebula from Rift. Anyone know the name of it? Can't find the damn thing online at all and it's not on the mount list.
I think you are referring to the Astral Steed, new mount you get for making any purchase of gems in the store (minimum is $5). It does not appear in the mount list before you buy it- I saw it in game last night, loved it, and immediately went to mount list to see its price in shards, doesn't show up.
Maybe I've been lucky, but most of the people on my team when I play Hanamura seem to know what to do. I do think that as shryke mentioned there's a big part of the map strategy that hasn't been totally realized yet. Heroes like Azmo and Probe will do ok if the team can tie up the objective, and it's tough to delay the payload without the right comp.

Is it the Celestial Steed from purchasing gems in the store?
Out of those of you who declared to be Probius mains, how many of you are still playing Probius?
I haven't been able to play a lot of what I'd prefer recently. The past week or two, no one has wanted to support. And the few times they do, no one else wants to tank. I miss Probius though, I want to play him more.
I like grabbing the turret power up and dropping it to plink at a wall or gate that's outside of enemy tower range. Just pew pew pew away at an enemy gate.
Either you get a free gate destroyed or they split somebody off to deal with it.

He's pretty frustrating to play, tbh. At a fundamental level, you are depending upon the other team to walk into your rifts or zone of control to do any damage. So if they refuse to engage, then your only other recourse is to punish them by pushing the lane.
This also extends to fights, where outside of the pylon ult you are just zoning the other team and waiting for them to dive. If you go too forward or chase then you are basically a sitting duck. And unlike other heroes you can't necessarily help when skirmishes or team fights break out because you have no mount and you are tied to your pylons, so even if you save one to drop at the fight, if your team has to chase or they end up retreating you can move far enough to be out of range of that pylon and SOL for the remainder.
So he's basically like any other PvE split pusher except he provides much more zone control but pays for it by never being able to do much except manage his zone, especially when objectives aren't up. And if your team doesn't know that they need to either help you push or make smart macro decisions on the map to take advantage of your split pushing, then they will basically slowly lose because they will be "down" 4v5 all game.

His playstyle is just so utterly binary. Plonk down your Pylons/Turret, drop your Warp Rifts, shoot your Q into Rifts. zzzzzzzz.
He just feels so goddamn boring as a result. And like I dunno, hitting the actual combo is fuckin' hard, man. Q is a really thin skillshot and that's already hard enough to actually hit the center sometimes, but now you have to do that while someone is actually in the Rift.
I tried one game and decided nah. Sure, he has infinite mana and can waveclear like a boss, but aside from that it was just fuckin' snoresville. Even like, Gazlowe has a wayyyy more active playstyle than Proby.
If I want waveclear there's plenty of other options.

Assuming I have no heroes unlocked, which of the 4 mega packs offers the most bang per funbuck?
It would certainly depend on your play style? Have you played other MOBAs, and what roles do you typically gravitate towards?
I dunno, they're not really for me! Last go around I went with Sylvanas a lot, she was fun. I guess I'll go for Assassin, if it has the most gold value?

Personally if I had nothing i'd probably go with the flex bundle. It gives you a bit of everything to play with, so you can switch up roles more and not get bored of one. I'd get bored of playing nothing but assassins & mages anyway
If you’re eager to fill gaps in your team comp, or are brand new to MOBAs, consider picking up this bundle to gain experience with a wide variety of roles and playstyles. Includes Warrior, Specialist, Support, and Assassin Heroes.

They don't really need to help you push is the thing. Probius will zone out a huge amount of the roster now and he pushes hard while doing it. There's a few people you have to be careful of and you need to now when to book it when they come for you, but it's not that bad most of the time. He's got that murky feel to him sometimes where you have to dedicate someone to chasing him off or he will mow down your structures and flood you with mercs. And especially after 10 with Pylon Overcharge whoever you send to gank him has to be real careful or you will get fucked up fast.
And he can be really difficult to push off objectives and the like, so he can be quite strong on some maps if you don't have really strong initiation. There's a reason he's got the 3rd highest winrate right now. After the buffs he's a huge pain in the ass to deal with if you can't get his team on their back foot quickly and shove him out of his zone.

Probius is real annoying as Stitches because his tiny health pool is so tempting but between pylon and turret bodyblocks and his Z he's impossible to hook.

My main issue with recommending the Flex bundle for a new player is that it includes heroes like Abathur and TLV, who, while interesting, are very niche, hard to play, and require a lot of HotS experience to not just completely stink with. Note that a new player doesn't have to play that long to pick up some 2,000/4,000 gold heroes in the tank, support, specialist category if he or she wants to branch out. Assassins and tanks/bruisers are a much more straightforward introduction to the game and don't ask as much of a new player to figure out while learning the game.
Officially the unluckiest CCG player ever.

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

you need to complete (not win) 10 matches over a two weeks for it.
Each week, you have to play 5 matches for a reward. Skip a week and you have to get through the previous week(s) to get the week's reward.
it's overly complicated.
An Abathur who didn't know how to... Abathur at all. Spent half his time attacking minions in lane, and the other half hatted up just in the middle of wherever he decided to do that.
And a Hammer who sieged up just in the middle of a lane. Not close enough to actually hit any towers. Just... sieged up and sat there. Then, as soon as the enemies appeared, took about 25% of her HP and fled to a healing fountain before running across the map to the other lane (Braxis).
Thanks, match making. Another awesome job. Feeling the sting of the swarm of new players already. At least it was an almost AI match length stomp. Essentially 5v3 will do that.

I hadn't played QM in a long time, but wanted to practice/level some of my new heroes...forgot what a raging trash fire it is. So frustrating at times when all people do are try to kill everything all the time regardless of objectives, levels, support, etc.
Went into UR draft and it felt like the HotS I'm more used to.

Yup. Don't play QM for a real, competitive game. It'd be nice if that were still a viable mode, but it's not really imo
