i wrote my deck up on reddit. it was necessary, perhaps if only to flush the demons inside me. it will probably get downvoted away and i'm okay with that.

Mind Control Tech is still doing work.

@Dibby how does your Jade Rogue do against Quest Rogue? I'm getting curbstomped. I can't seem to get enough headway on golem summoning, and keeping his board clear so he doesn't have a full roster to turn into 5/5s reduces the amount of damage I can pressure him with.
Nope, yeah, it doesn't do great. Very hard to win vs Quest Rogue, they are very much favored.
That's almost a relief, I kept wondering what I was doing wrong
Yeah, you just... can't ramp up fast enough, and you can't pressure them enough to race them. Your early minions are all pretty dinky, you're playing a lategame deck. You just gotta hope they draw like crap and you draw well. But most of the time you're just gonna lose that one.
Maybe pirate warrior and rogue to a lesser extent?
4-4 minions instead of 5-5?
I know the Rogue quest isn't that consistent, but I'm not sure I've enjoyed playing against the deck in any capacity. It seems completely down to (outside of dirty rat) how quickly they can complete that quest (I've seen it done on turn 3).
You either rush them before they get the quest off, or they kill you (bonus points if its an empty board and it's with cheap charge minions that bounce).
Another thing that "irks" me, is the coin counting towards the Mage Quest.
Realistically speaking, I doubt we'll see a nerf to anything.

Nothing jumps out at me as an unstoppable juggernaut yet.
We'll see in a month, but I think the meta's actually fairly balanced right now, and not in a rock-paper-scissors "50% average because it's all 80/20 matchups that cancel out" kinda way like MSoG was.

It usually takes months of reddit whining to get some nerfs but reddit is silent currently.
I could theoretically see them nerfing quest rogue for the same reason Mind Control was nerfed back in the day. But it's a very long shot and given Blizz usual stance to waiting for the meta to stabilize is super unlikely at this point.

I've... I've finally done it. Winning streak of 3 with the quest rogue. I have now joined the dark side. This makes me believe that this deck will now get nerfed since I have some wins.
This is after 24 losses with it since launch. To be fair, 4 of those losses were using the crappy Blizzard made deck till I could figure out that it is crap and made my own. Then tweaked it till it is pretty much close to meta now (or is meta for all I know). I did have one win with it long ago but that was in Casual so that didn't count.

This looks really interesting. I don't have Barnes or Kun though, so no dice for me. Would be curious to see it's win rate stats after 15 or 20 games if you have them? I feel like aggro is too common to just accept that you're going to lose to them.
Seems pretty lazy on that warrior's part; he's obviously playing quest warrior, so he should be sticking down something to potentially block each turn while waiting for the inevitable removal. I really don't understand why people don't have some kind of removal to deal with something big coming from Dirty Rat.
I just played a rogue, and from a Swashburglar he managed to get Ancestral Spirit to then put on Sherazin while I didn't have Hex available. After clearing those things twice, he got them back again with a 16/16 Van Cleef.
Sadly I had been holding on to a devolve because I knew at some point I'd be up against a big Van Cleef; I made my own sad trombone sound for him as everything got turned into 1-2 cost minions.

Quest rogue just isn't putting up the numbers to warrant a nerf.
The only reason to nerf at this point would be it's frustrating play pattern. It's rare that they hit those unless they are undermining tournaments. But it has happened recently. (Yogg Saron).

Chat was saying his opponent was a streamer also, and was at 9-2 when he got matched up against Thijs' 11-1. That's kind of a bummer for the other guy, heh.
Playing a somewhat wacky Hunter deck on the way into work yesterday, on T2 I had in hand Ysera, Deathwing, and Alley Cat. The Warrior I was up against dropped Dirty Rat.
He or she pulled the cat.

DDyaHoni letting me down again :c
(he was Thijs' final boss, and who I picked the tourney everyone championed Thijs to similar results)
Warrior, Paladin, Rogue, and Hunter define most of the ladder, fairly even spread; only Warlock is present at less than ~6%. Generally healthy representation. Most diverse ladder they've ever measured.
No deck at Legend has >52% winrate, for the first time ever! Sign of a healthy meta.
Paladin, after a huge swing out, starting to decline as people tech against it. Shaman kind of an underdog, but can still hang.
Silence Priest is a meta breaker. ?!?!?!
Overall vS thinks Hearthstone is in a really good place balance wise, with 8 of 9 classes having solid decks and no 1 deck crushing the ladder.

Wow. Turn 3 and SuperJJ did the Northshire, Wild Pyro, and Circle trick twice to draw 8 cards.

I agree with what Firebat (I think?) was saying, that was a misplay by Orange. He should have just played off-curve, having the 2/2 on board doesn't help, and there was nothing at 5-mana to ramp to.

The popularity drop off is really smooth. Which shows that the player base thinks a multitude of decks are viable options. That's very encouraging.
Druid goes from being the 4-5th played class sub legend to first at legend. That is kind of neat.
You would think one would learn around the 5th time making the same mistake
but nope
I again dropped unlicensed apothecary when I had the warlock quest portal in play
>.<'
lost me 4 of those already-won games
why are you playing that card at all though
So a full control deck doesn't work because it gets the quest out too late, and you're already dead by then (due to poor healing or fatigue).
A hyper aggro deck runs out of steam too much.
A mid-range deck is doing OK so far.
Beat a pirate warrior with a legend cardback, so that was good.
The discard effect is so inconsistent though that 60% of the time it's rage inducing. Like, 2 out of 4cards are great for discard (golem or coin, clutch mother), yet RNG decides to discard your other two viable cards.
So I'm testing apothecary. He's a good card to level things out early game and let you get your hand size up.
But ya, I'll likely drop him for something else.
