[Impromptu Tarot Reading] Empress Edition

A while back I decided to do tarot readings in SE++ then again a few years later in the same board.
This time I figure I'll try it here.

Here's how it goes: a participant can ask a question or ask for a general reading, I draw a tarot card from my deck and provide a reading to resolve your query. Maybe.
I can also do a far more involved Celtic Cross reading, though this is more time consuming as it involves the drawing of ten cards in all, but it provides a bigger picture of the past, present, future, and surrounding influences.
Discussion of tarot in general is also welcome(and encouraged).

Tarot reading revolves around the belief that the cards can be used to gain insight into the current and possible future situations of the subject (or querent), i.e. cartomancy. Some believe they are guided by a spiritual force, such as Gaia, while others believe the cards help them tap into a collective unconscious or their own creative, brainstorming subconscious. The divinatory meanings of the cards are derived mostly from the Kabbalah of Jewish mysticism and from Medieval Alchemy.

Believe it or not, this is exactly what I felt like I was going to get (maybe even kinda wanted in a way) my very first gut reaction when I clicked "post reply." Then I secondguessed myself and thought that I'd probably get some minor arcana card since there are way more of them, and it would be kinda, well, generic/boring/disappointing?

Skynet dressed up as a human for Halloween?
Where/how did you learn to do tarot? I've tried before, but it tends to be a bit much. Are there mnemonic things to help retain meaning?
(I've done a few spreads with my girlfriend (shut up) using box meanings. My favorite was when we did one for the relationship that was like super horrible and included multiple calamitous cards, then capped off with "the lovers." Our interpretation was that we're horrible and should hate each other but will end up together anyway.
I mean, it's half right so far!)
Some decks can be beautifully illustrated and provide a mnemonic for the various card meanings. I used to use a Robin Wood deck that had gorgeous illustrations for each Minor Arcana card with little scenes that helped hammer home the meaning of that card. If you can grab a deck with a good, well illustrated Minor Arcana that does something similar you should have the meanings down in no time.
It is also featured in Quest For Glory IV: Shadows Of Darkness.
I became interested after playing Persona 3. And I love Mage, so their deck seemed like a good starting point. Been learning on my own since then.
