I'm kinda really bummed about the KH3 thing. I was really hoping they were getting it together.
And like... I feel like with the Disney licenses and getting worlds based on some more relevant movies would have them needing to actually get stuff done but I guess not?

Pretty sure KH3 at least is just running on Unreal 4 or whatever.
Incidentally, when I saw the first trailer (first to me, at least) of KH3, I thought that 1) it looked fucking awesome, and 2) it also looked uncannily familiar in a way I couldn't place, the same way Street Fighter 5 did the first time I saw it. It was only when I was scrolling through the list of games being made with UE4 on the Unreal Engine web page and saw both of those games on the list that I went oh snap, that's why they look familiar! UE4 has a very distinctive lighting model, such that you can kind of tell when a game is made in that engine just by eye, unless the developer has heavily tweaked the shaders.
My favorite musical instrument is the air-raid siren.

Yeah, it's a real good look for KH. 0.8 was amazing to look at.
0.8 really did a good job making me excited for 3. They seem to be taking my favorite parts of 2, BBS, and 3D's combat and mixing them together.
I'm bummed it is apparently still a couple YEARS away, but as long as it does come out I'm positive I'm going to love it.

I remember me and my best friend in high school talking about Kingdom Hearts when that was the ocol thing to play. He showed me the fight with Sephiroth and that was pretty baller. I never did beat Sephiroth myself.

Just left the Phantagrande Skydom in Granblue, which is apparently a big deal within the context of the story since each skydom is sort of shut off from one another by various natural barricades and impassable regions.
It's kind of a shame that the later parts of the story get actually for real difficult and require such high level weapon grids to progress through, because the story gets pretty rad as you get further in. While the first act is pretty trope-y anime stuff beat the big monster of the week and move onto the next island, they seem to be trying something a bit more ambitious with the second act. Feels a lot more focused on people than giant magical beasts.

I wonder if Nomura has special attachment to FF7 because it was the first big project that he was a lead on? I probably would. I wonder if maybe he decided that he wants to do the remake himself because of that, and he doesn't feel like working on KH.
e: I guess the article says it's being headed up by Naoki Hamaguchi, so probably not.

Before playing FF15 I was pretty ok with what they were apparently doing with the FF7 remake.
Now though, no sir hard pass. If I didn't like the main crew of 15 so much I never would have got to the end of it. They don't gotta not change it or anything, just don't change it into anything like that.

Like I don't get how they can have that put so well together but be so far away from KH3 coming out.
