I wonder if anybody finds full 31s. Also, how could you level your mon without getting additional evs so that you can see accuratly the iv level?
Full 31's is exceedingly rare, but considering how many people play the game, there's probably ones out there (hacks not withstanding). As for leveling without EV's: rare candies - usually save before hand so you can get the candies back afterwards, since it's hard to replace 20-30 rare candies. There's certain berries that remove EV's, as well.
Also, MiserableMirth: Happiness evolutions are a pain, but there's ways to ease the burden: Massages from the girl in Veilstone, pump them full of vitamins, and have them hold the soothe bell.
Running them through the elite four a few times helps, too - the don't have to fight, they just like getting in the hall of fame.

What's a good moveset for Vileplume? I've been thinking Aromatherapy/Sludge Bomb/Stun Spore/Giga Drain, but I feel like it could be better and I'm missing something.
Anyone? And is Sleep Powder better than Stun Spore?
So... are happiness evolutions suppose to take forever because this is ridiculous.
Try stuffing the baby full of poffin of the flavors it likes. You can do that multiple times a day at least, though I DESPISE the process of making them. After what Elite Beat Agent's spinner sequences did to my screen protector, I'm leery about anything requiring me to quickly spin something around on the DS touch screen.
So I completed the Galactic HQ. I was absolutely devastated by something inside. Read on if you dare.
Cyrus said "I could care less." The whole speech he made was ruined by that line. All his big words meant nothing to me after he couldn't even say "I couldn't care less" right. It was just horrible.

EV'd out a Gallade. Good nature, decent IV's, especially in attack and speed, where it counts. Nice and easy process this time around.
Breloom is next. Can't wait to test out his new ability with the toxic orb. Status immunity at the cost of an item? Yes Please. Moveset will be roughly the same, and I can use my well IV'd one from the first game as breeding stock, just need to find an adamant or jolly ditto/feamale shroomish to go along with it.
They really streamlined this game. Basically all the emerald/crystal/yellow version of this game needs for true breeding mastery is a super secret IV calculating poketch attachment, and maybe slightly cheaper rare candies. The old trade over to another game and fight the elite four with lucky eggs trick works pretty damn well, but it does take a few hours.
Now I am working on doing a bit of leveling before heading into the
Galactic HQ
I have Empoleon at 41 (gave it the Flash Cannon TM, and it wiped the floor with the 7th Gym)
Alakazam at 38
and then...
-Buneary at 30 (sucker refuses to become happy enough to evolve... finally went and found the Soothe Bell though, so that should help)
-Gabite at 30 (Ive had an EXP Share on this one since I got it)
-Staravia at 29 (this one Im working on now)
-Pachirisu at 30
My team kind of sucks right now honestly.
I probably need to give up on the Buneary for now until I can breed a good one after getting a Hitmonchan. (Which if anyone has one for trade, I definetely could use one).
Empoleon, Gabite, and Alakazam are definetely staying.
Pachirisu... not sure.
Staravia... probably staying but depends... might find something else to use.
I do have 3 or so Fire Monkey eggs (and a level 28 Monferno) in storage, might pull one of those.

Yeah that tweaked me too.
eh. i learned a long time ago to see it as just another idiom that doesnt make any literal sense. doesnt even phase me anymore.
My Luxray has been good to me for most of the game, but I just don't think a physical attacking electric type can be any good at higher levels. The best physcial electric move has only 65 power.

Yeah but he makes this huge speech revealing so much about his character and then he says that. It just took away from it all.
Also, what HM's do I need for the mountain? Rock smash, rock climb, strength, and surf? I'm too lazy to raise a golduck so I have 2 hm users but I need about the same plus waterfall for victory road right? I figured I'd use this as practice for victory road and see how well I do with just 4 guys since I can't carry all 5 HM's on 1 poke when I get to victory road.

Rock smash, climb, strength, and surf are needed for the cave itself, waterfall to go from there to the pokemon league so two HM users total.

Thanks. I'll use Mt. Coronet as my test to get me used to having to use only 4 guys. This of course could all be solved by simply teaching surf to my Empoleon and using golduck but I don't really want to put surf on him.
I went through the entirety of Mt Coronet using only two actually combat-ready Pokemon (~51 Staraptor, ~45 Empoleon). I had to sacrifice a lv 9 Wurmple to catch Palkia, though.
Throw me in as another Luxray fan. He did his job beautifully, doubling as both water/flying killer, and ghostbuster with Crunch.
I think a physical electric could work well enough. Or at least, I'm going to try and make it work with Electivire. Just finished hatching my Adamant Elekid with Ice punch. The strongest physical electric attack is Thunder punch at 75. Thunderbolt is only 20 points higher at 95. And food for thought, Electivire's attack is higher than Jolteon's special. So the lower attack move should be balanced out with a higher stat backing it.
Plus, it's Electabuzz, or rather his evolution. If there was any justice, he'd be the spokesman for Pokemon over "Weakachu".

See the thing about Luxray is that it doesn't have the benefit of learning Thunderpunch. The best it can do Physically is Spark. I think Smogon crunched the numbers and found that a Luxray with a SpAtt boosting Nature and Thunderbolt will do more than one with an Attack boosting Nature and Spark.
I just don't see any point in using it except for when it's all you can get at the beginning.

i was kinda wondering if there was a way besides griding a lv 1 fire monkey to lv 30ish.. not that i do not want a free fire monkey, i got a request up in gts

If you can, hit the GTS in Jubilife City and try to get a Chimchar.
Failing that, grab something that is either Fighting or Fire.

Well, his Bronzor will be a pain in the ass to fight without fire. There's a few things that'll hurt him normally (Ghost, Dark, Fighting, and Water. Maybe Electric) and he'll resist anything else. His Steelix falls easily against Water but Bastiodon is a wall. Something solid that has ground or fighting attacks would do. He has Rest and has a berry that'll wake him up as soon as he Rests. Pretty annoying.

Badges: 2
Playtime: 35Hours (though a lot of that is time spent with the game turned on and me forgetting about it)
Pokes seen: 64
Pokes Caught: 51
Vespiquen 23
Alakhazam 24
Grotle 22
Shellos 20
Scorupi 22
Ghastly 22
Yes I know, rediculous weakness to flying at the moment, thankfully Scorupi loses his bug type when he evolves.
Course, I've Honestly been starting to think about a "Bug Themed" team for the playthrough.
Vespiquen
Drapion
Heracross
Scizor
Mothim
Magcargo/Gastrodon
Wouldn't win me any online battles, but it'd be fun regardless.
