Knoxville TN for one Night

Hey, I'll be spending the night in Knoxville, TN for one night in late June. Any suggestions on a good downtown hotel near bars / local music joints?

The Oliver is probably the most unique or interesting hotel in that area. It is smack in the middle of Market Square so you're already right there among the best bars and stuff. It is not what I would call an extremely nice 5-star establishment but it is nice boutique hotel. Crowne Plaza is also nearby and might be of a higher quality dunno haven't stayed there. Pretty much everything else around will be chain properties and they will just get further away.

Hey we have reservations - what venues would one spend time at for one night in the beautiful scenic KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE?

If you're just in town for 1 night I would just stick to market square. That area pretty much has the best bars, restaurants, and shopping in the downtown area. It is also just a nice area to stroll around and if there happens to be some sort of local event going on during your stay the area will be packed with locals.

World's Fair Park is nearby, the UT Botanical Gardens are always enjoyable to stroll through, and the Tennessee Theater is also very close. I always love visting the Knoxville Museum of Art but its certainly not the Met and you might want to look into what exhibitions are going on beforehand.
