Welp, the bonus mythril gave me just enough to pull on the White.
1/11: Elder Staff (Arc SSB, my third)
Big ol' whomp whomp there.
Overall I still came out ahead for these half price Nightmare banners, I reckon. A handful of SSBs (that at least give me some added realm coverage), 3 BSBs, an OSB and a USB. In hindsight, every banner pair had a good to decent first banner and a complete garbage second, funny how that worked out.
Krile OSB: It's an OSB! Potentially interesting since it's a rod - many mage OSBs to date are on weird weapon types like swords or throwers, so they're not portable to all of your other mages. Gogo BSB: Water rod. En-water. Has a "mimic" command and a single target water damage command. Mimic does not copy SBs, or even BSB abilities - it only copies regular abilities. So it's way less exciting than I might have hoped. Still has some potential if you're copying the right 5* or 6* abilities with it, though. Good as a strong option to hit water damage, and the mimic effect is rare/potentially interesting. Bartz BSB2: En-water. Commands to mug ATK and deal single target water damage. Another fine option for hitting water weakness. Krile BSB: En-fire. Single target command for damage and stun, AOE command for damage and slow. I have this, and the damage is a little disappointing compared to other en-element mages, but on the rare occasions when the bonus effects are relevant it's great. Gogo SSB: Party haste and +30% ATK/MAG. It's Vessel of Fate, minus the burst mode. Could be a nice pickup if you don't own Vessel, but there are several other upcoming relics that do the same thing with other bonuses stapled on, so I wouldn't chase this. Krile SSB1: Non-element damage plus party quick magic attacks 3. Meh. Bartz SSB: Holy sword. Damage plus party +50% DEF. The DEF boost can be handy against physical-heavy enemies, but usually I want more out of a physical damage SB. Holy swords can be found all over the place these days, and in 6* varities. Lenna SSB: Party Curaga + 50% RES. Usually I'd prefer a Burst or Ultra medica. Faris SB: AOE damage and -40% ATK/MAG. Still quite serviceable as a dual break.
Banner 2
Lenna USB: 6* holy MND light armor. Party +30% ATK/MAG/RES and 3000 HP stock. It's both a medica and an offense buff that stacks with just about everything. A very strong option if you want to trade away some raw healing power for extra offensive punch. Exdeath BSB: Dark rod. Imperil Dark. Commands are single target damage (more if Doomed), and AOE damage that grants Memento Mori. There are some situations (Torments) where having Memento on one of the commands can be awkward, but in general this seems pretty good for a mage imperil. Lenna BSB: Party Cura and Reraise with self +30% MND/RES. Commands for holy damage with additional self MND buff, and small medica. A little disappointing as a healer burst, but probably works fine on the All White Mage Death Squad. Galuf BSB: Imperil Fire. Commands do fire/earth damage with small heal to an ally. Seems pretty good for a physical imperil fire. Galuf SSB2: Party high regen and 50% crit rate, with self en-fire. Seems awkward to use, but if you already have a bunch of things that have high crit damage but no crit rate boost, you might want it. Galuf SSB: Damage plus self Unyielding Fist (+50% attack, immunity to everything, drop all other buffs/debuffs). Not at all braindead to use, but with dedication you can get ridiculous results - there was a player on Reddit who used it to solo basically all content up to and including Boundless Nemesis. Occasionally excellent for fights where the enemy is scripted to do Very Bad Things to whichever character has the highest HP. Not recommended for general use, but if you want to master it, has incredible potential. Faris SSB: AOE Imperil Wind. Exdeath SSB1: Dark MAG heavy armor. AOE dark damage with party Magic Blink. Magic blinks are usually good and occasionally great, but I'd prefer to chase one that can be spammed via Wrath or Lifesiphon. Exdeath SB: En-dark. It's just damage. Pass.
Overall thoughts, future banners, etc.
Banner 1 has a couple strong Water options if you're looking for that, and Gogo's SSB that's a pretty good hastega. Banner 2 has Lenna's excellent USB and three (!) imperils. There are a lot of stinkers on these banners though. General recommendation is to pass on these banners. Maybe try your luck on this month's Dungeon Update lucky draw instead, which should have most or all of these items in the pool? edit to add: if you are thinking about pulling here, and you already know you're pulling on the DU lucky, consider doing the lucky pull first - maybe you'll get your chase items, and you'll save some mythril. The DU should hit early next week, giving you several more days of this event's banners to think about it.
Next V event is in about 15 weeks. Banner 1 features Bartz USB+BSB3+BSB2+LMR, Faris USB2+LMR, and Dorgann USB, while banner 2 has Exdeath USB+LMR, Bartz OSB, Gogo BSB, Galuf BSB+LMR, and Faris BSB. Banner 1 there looks pretty hot: all of the Bartz stuff is great, the Faris stuff is great, and Dorgann BSB isn't awful. Banner 2 is less exciting, though Exdeath USB is a vastly improved Grand Cross which is very spicy.
Upcoming event schedule:
V - VII? (Cloud USB) - Festival? - FF1 Mobius collab? - VI (Celes BSB2/Sabin OSB, LMR banner format begins) - IX (Steiner OSB/Vivi BSB2) - XIII (Lightning USB/Fang BSB2) - XII (Vaan USB/Fran USB)
Note the question marks - we haven't seen datamined confirmation about these events, so they might get jumbled around (and we may or may not get the Mobius collab). It's possible that next week is going to be the VI event.

Does the apocalypse have a lot of piercing attacks? I'm taking 1-2k damage a round to everyone and even chain casting healer BSB I'm still dying. With wall protect and shell.

Ultimate Beam Cannon ignores defense, as does Ultimate Short Fuse. So you will want at least two layers of ATK debuff stacking if you can manage it. These attacks only show up in Weak Phase for the soldiers, and Weak and Very Weak Phases for the BGH itself. Ultimate Beam Cannon would hit for 2500+ without any debuffs while Ultimate Short Fuse would hit for 3300+ without any debuffs.
I stupidly tied my account to an old work email address at my brothers company. He has since sold his company. Rather than wait for the new owner to potentially delete my address I've made the switch to a new account. Lost a lot of good stuff, but it was my own fault for not just using a normal gmail address. Fortunately I created a new account at the anniversary to play as an alt, so I've got a few decent things from that. Just finished all the classic dungeons on it today.
Not beating everything like I used to, but it's almost refreshing to have to game plan around my much more limited hones/items. I do miss native walls and shout, although I did luck in to pretty much everything for OK, so I have his BSB.

The robot that spawns dudes on death has a piercing beam attack and the mooks have piercing aoes when below 50.
You could have just used a one-time code from the old account to link it to a new e-mail address, and in fact you could probably still do this if you wanted. As long as you are having fun, though, do whatever you want.
Fusoya's SSB, robe, Lunarian Might. Lowers dark resist, raises Magic and Mind.
If I do the Mage team thing, Fusoya's looks OK.
This was the only part I wanted to focus on from your pull. FuSoYa will be useful to you for what you have because of that Imperil Dark. Sadly, FuSoYa doesn't hold up very well, as to this day, even in Japan, he does not yet have a Burst (and neither does Tellah).
For funsies, here's a little trivia:
- FFIV has the most bloated roster, with 15 current (not including JP) characters. FFVI is closest with 14.
- Once Leo, Strago and Mog get their Bursts in the next event (probably end of June/early July), almost every character will have a burst. Gau is the exception, but his comes with the Gogo/Umaro event, who get their own respective bursts.
- By contrast, FFIV introduces characters that come with bursts, but there are still two characters without them. With Barbariccia expected in the next JP-FFIV event, let's hope they don't ignore Tellah or FuSoYa. :P
Well the piercing attack from the MRV is only going to happen every six turns in Weak and every 4 turns in Very Weak, so it shouldn't be excessively bothersome. The other AOE attacks are both magical and if you get unlucky he could alternate between them, so it may be a matter of RNG being extremely unkind. It is also possible that Wall is wearing off towards the end of that first enemy's life bar. Difficult to diagnose the exact problem, unfortunately.

Wear fire resist on everybody, that will help with the tank's AOE Ray Bomb and the soldiers' AOE Firas.
Megido Flame and Ray Bomb are both AOE magic. Megido Flame especially is AOE non-elemental magic with a big multiplier. If it alternates between those (not terribly unlikely) you might have a bad time. You could try squeezing in another magic break somewhere - maybe 3* Magic Break in place of Mirror on Cloud, or Magic Breakdown in place of Onion's Lifesiphon?
Hrm the biggest problem I see is no Magic Breakdown. The defense piercing attack certainly hurts, but the magic AOEs are the bigger threat. Having only a net 15% break on MAG is going to result in a fair bit of incoming damage, especially if he alternates between his magic AOEs (between the two of them there is a 50% chance per turn of a magic AOE being used, though one is locked for one turn after use). I would personally consider dropping Cloud for your best support character (or a good Paladin which would let you give said Paladin Shellga and give Onion Knight Magic Breakdown). Your damage is probably a little low with just Onion Knight's 30% ATK boost, though Eiko's crit is certainly helping some. How hard is Cloud hitting with his OSB anyway? I'm guessing it's probably in the 30-40k range. Orlandeau's OSB will hit the lightning condition, so giving him that Thundaga Strike isn't really necessary, he'd be better off with either another Lifesiphon or Full Charge. Or in a pinch you could give him Magic Break if you don't want to change up the party.
You could have just used a one-time code from the old account to link it to a new e-mail address, and in fact you could probably still do this if you wanted. As long as you are having fun, though, do whatever you want.
Thank you for this, just got the old account to the new address.

Glad to be of help, I know I wouldn't want to lose all the work I've put into my account and I know they don't make it obvious that you can transfer your account like that.
Finally put down the Iron Clad Apoc+ fight. Dunno why but I was having a hard time finding the right combination of characters to bring for it. Ultimately, went with the Vaan/Lion combo, Ramza, and Relm/Y'shtola, with a not really great TGCid RW. Whatever, it worked, no deaths, moving on!
I still need to do the 250 Torment though. Hrm.

Wait, if you have Tyro Wall, why are you RWing Wall also?
Put the other MM on OK instead of Eiko, give her the Ace Striker. This further helps you because it means she can recast the BSB early for healing if needed. Then RW a 50% ATK (since you don't need Haste because of OK, don't take Shout. Instead go get Minfilia's or Sazh's SBs). That pretty much gets you to physical soft cap.
Do you not have any other good physical DPS than Cloud? Especially a lightning user like Lightning?
I would adjust your abilities then to:
Tyro: Multi Break + Heathen Frolic (I said after the fact that I probably wanted to take Exhausting Polka on my dancer instead but everyone seems to think breaking the MAG more is better, which is fine).
OK: If you want to stay physical you can actually benefit from Full Charge instead of Lifesiphon, I guarantee he won't have SB issues. If you are legitimately still having healing issues, you can backline him and give him an emergency Curaja for backup and give him caster gear (and caster OK is generally better anyway).
Orlandeau: Doesn't need Thundaga Strike, take a second Lifesiphon or try out Thundering Twinstrike.
and if your potential Cloud replacement has WHM4 somehow they could also carry the Shellga instead of OK to let you be even more flexible on him.

Will try fire resist. Damage is ok because I'm rwing shout and using ok. I could get a different rw i guess not sure what I'd go with. I'm going physical to try and avoid aoe slow at the end.

Ah RW Shout makes more sense with that setup than RW Wall. Fire resist is an option, but I went without and did alright. Working in a Magic Break(down) is probably the single most important thing you can do to help your survivability. I'm also not a fan of bringing a character that just has an OSB (that isn't hitting a weakness and is also not TGCid) for a DPS spot, so if you could switch out Cloud for somebody else it could really open up some options for you. I don't know what relics you have, but there are a number of characters with SUP4 and good DPS soul breaks that could take his spot, and Magic Break is nearly as good as the Breakdown so that is of course an option.

Of those options I would go with either Galuf or Agrias. Agrias could have Shellga, allowing Onion Knight to bring Magic Breakdown, while Galuf could bring Magic Break in addition to helping with the healing. Either way I think you would be better off, with Galuf being the more offensively oriented option and Agrias the more defensively oriented option.
-edit- Actually I'd go with Galuf, since with his BSB you don't have too much to worry about in regards to running out of hones, while Agrias might run into issues with just one Lifesiphon and her SB to rely on.

I guess Krile can ride a meteor down now. And a proper caster 6* weapon! But.... who's going to use all these whips now?
I now have a hastega, faithga, and boostga for FFV. Just missing a medica for the ol' personal CM trinity.
Guess I gotta egg the fucker up then, with my no eggs. Honestly, aside from 100 gemming into Celes's BSB2 or one of the top 2 UCloud items, couldn't really ask for anything better from the next month or so of banners, especially for these pain in the ass FFV CMs.
I seem to get nothing but Bartz stuff - aside from Gilgamesh's Genji Blade, all of my other V SBs are for Bartz.
Anyways, I managed to find a workaround for the stupid "Download failed. Reloading..." bug - Turbo VPN! Hooray! Thanks to that, I finally managed to solo the Sorceresses (stupid Ultimate Double kept ending up with one character eating dual Meltdowns). The team that did it was:
That Curaise came in handy - on my winning run, Y'shtola got taken out by a double Meltdown from the Sorceress Adepts, but OK was able to Curaise her just in time for Tyro to drop another Wall, whereupon she promptly tossed out Asylum.
Otherwise, it was pretty easy up until the Sorceress Elite, which was just a slog, especially without Shellga (Tyro had to spend his meter on Wall, while Y'shtola was busy chaining Asylum). Luckily, between the bubble and Fran's BSB/Full Break/Vaan BSB, her damage was manageable.
Squall's BSB2 is as ridiculous as advertised. His C1 wasn't that great, but that was all made up for by his C2 which just destroyed anything it touched. The vast majority of the damage came from Squall, especially considering my only AOE was Fran's BSB entry (AOE was the reason she was in the party instead of Vaan).

Maaan. Gogo's a sage/bard? What an asshole. The only bard things worth using right now overlap with white magic stuff. Shouldn't he at least be able to dance? Why do I have so much shit for the sages. I hate all of them except the tree.
I hate it when any character gets stuck with Bard and White magic honestly. Anything below Bard 4 is useless, and Bard anything is redundant with WM making it just wasted skill slots. Japan has a purpose for them at least. It would be pretty cool to have a reason to have bard skills that weren't just clones of Protectga/Shellga. Maybe one day they will give them something outside of the music festivals.

Aren't the recent set of stacking things not part of any music thing? If so, then damn, DeNA. Just pick a week and call it Bard week.
And give Eiko her damn record dive already.
And Mog. If I get his sageshout and he still can't be dived, I'll be very, VERY cross.

Onion Knight - Lifesiphon/Curaise, BSB, DMT
Squall - Lifesiphon/Bio Strike, BSB2, Truthseeker
Fran - Wrath/Full Break, BSB, Ace Striker
Tyro - Lifesiphon/Heathen Frolic Sarabande, BSB/Wall, MM
Y'shtola - Wrath/Ultra Cure, BSB/Aetherial Pulse, Battleforged
RW was Vaan's BSB

Yoink! It's no Squall BSB2, but I'm sure I'll be happy to have it when it comes time to start farming Full Throttle Geosgaeno and Magicite Liquid Flame.
Same same. I'll take it for a buck.

Aren't the recent set of stacking things not part of any music thing? If so, then damn, DeNA. Just pick a week and call it Bard week.
And give Eiko her damn record dive already.
And Mog. If I get his sageshout and he still can't be dived, I'll be very, VERY cross.
