Shrug, your comp is probably 7-3 or higher into their comp no matter what they picked. Look at that siege damage.
Roaming as a deathball against Azmodan on Hanamura with zero push heroes is just going to mean you lose a building every time you walk away from his lane for a second. He's first ban god on hanamura for a reason.
I mean I'm pretty bad at judging teamcomps and even just like drafting in general
So it's possible that even assuming equal or greater skill we still would've won that game?
Dunno. I'm not good at drafty stuff! I just see a team of Illidan/Tracer/Malthael/Nova/Alarak and start SWEATIN' BULLETS cause all I can think about is how they're just going to decimate us.
The thing about specialists and winning the map is that you gain such an xp gain that suddenly your non-team fight team is now team-fight capable because of the advantage and voila, you can also win by just fighting.
Azmo and naz are very good team fighters if given enough time to dish out their dps. They can out-dps a lot of assassins with their abilities with enough time.
Can any Alarak aficionados shed light on how many stacks of "negatively charged" I should have by level 20 when using the lightning build in order for the Highlord to deem my performance "eeeeeeeh, acceptable?"

I usually go Chaos Reigns, so I don't know what a good number is. I have to imagine anything less than 200% is sub-optimal?
I don't know why it took me so long, but I recently realized that the best way to get hero stacks inside your electricity is to target the minion waves behind them, or even easier their buildings / walls.
It's also fun to use telekinesis to push them into line with a minion, or a minion into line with them. You can open up opportunities to get that triple hit for the extended lightning quest that way. I need to get better at it.

ok, so I think I've figured out TLV.
I get 40-50% of team exp medal every time I play now.
They are still relatively worthless when dealing with opposing heroes, but I can get my team a serious level advantage as long as they play it safe through the first few objectives.

One of the great ironies of the fight-in-the-middle blob at the start of games is that since they gave Alarak that quest it's possible to get it done right then.

That's a solid way to think of it yeah
If you build them for team fighting they can do real damage to backline squishies. Spin to win does great damage and you're just all over their face with Play Again.

Got TLV to 5
Pretty sure I am never going to play them again
Games are just so much more stressful trying to keep my attention on 2-3 lanes at once
When your HL draft starts with your banner saying "I gotta take a shit I'll try to be back before the game starts" you know it's going to be a good match
Spoiler it was not a good match

This has happened to me before.
Except I was the shitter.
I just tell my team, "I have to pee/poo but it's OK I'll hold it in I play better under pressure."
Then I randomly intersperse game chat with, "/clench".
They did give us an update on how "fiery" it was when they got back
Listen Valeera who drafted into a Malf and got caught out all game long on Braxis, including wandering into giant zerg piles and insta dying, I don't really need to know anything about your butthole.

Man, now I can't bear to play until Stukov comes out.
Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln

Yeah, that comp says to me "Dunks and spiders for days and the enemy doesn't have the sustain or the HP to deal with that kind of pressure on top of the massive lane push you will be generating".

Shockingly, there is a long wait to get into a game as Stukov on the PTR. Like, 20 minutes long. I guess I will get that next episode of this show in before I get a match though.

i wish i could see how many games i have to play with abathur on my team. i feel like it's above 40% without question.
we lose most of those games.
I will trade you my Nova teammates in exchange for your Abathurs. At least Abathur is a good pick on certain maps and highly contested in the HGC even if people at my rank can't play him like the pros do. Nova is basically a bad valera without a stun, teamfight presence and wave clear. She brings nothing to a team aside from the chance of getting picks so you'd better hope you've already drafted heals/damage/tank/wave clear because she's not going to make up for anything you're lacking.
I hate that Nova isn't good enough for HL. She seems like any bursty stealth character in that too much of a nudge in the wrong direction makes them OP.

Nova has teamfight presence in spades. And Snipe build even has waveclear.
What she doesn't have is a stun though, yeah. Because Nova is, like, not a shitty cancerous hunk of suck afflicting QM at the very least.
Zeratul is the best stealth assassin anyway, just harder to use.
Valeera feels so natural to me but then I have a bad habit of playing rogues in wow
Zeratul is someone I know but need a lot more time with to get that timing down
I just wish Nova played like a real ghost not a half baked one or they brought out Widowmaker to be a sniper
Now I have a question what is a good set up for Alarak he Is someone I am both awesome and horrible with

Oh hey, I was in a demotion match for Gold 2 and got paired up with a bunch of Plat players instead of bottom feeders and the game went well for once. Everyone contributed. It was on Hanamura. I was sylv and pushed the lanes and got us the forts down to boost our shit. Our Falstad pushed people off the payload. And our highest damage was our Malf, who had a clutch kill at the end of the game to push the final payload the last inch to win us the game.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
This morning our banner saw 4th pick shadowing butcher and decides to ban Artanis "because I don't want Butcher to get countered". And I'm like, omg, ban Malthael, nooooo!
The the enemy team opens to Malthael/Leoric. I'm like, guys, we can't take any more melee, (we already have Tyrael), we need ranged damage and mobility and sustain. My team's next two picks? Rehgar - a melee character without any CC, and Butcher.
Literally could not teamfight. Watching Malthael solo 3-4 people regularly was pretty fun. No, wait, it wasn't. Can't believe the new PTR patch is leaving Malthael alone like this. I think the real problem is that his Q, in a teamfight, can heal him up to 15-20% health, on a 2s CD. Just makes him impossible to kill. If they capped his Q heals at like, 3-4% of his max health, that would be actually something you could play against. It just sucks every game where your banner doesn't ban him, or theirs doesn't, he just invalidates melee.
XBL: Morgan Coke Yes, there is a space, not an underscore. I'm old school like that.
Battle.net: morgancoke#1589
Yea, malthael is wildly broken. I have only lost a single game on him, and I had 2x hero damage of everyone else in that game and we only lost because our team tried to core rush when it was obviously going to be a game losing wipe.
Soloed 3 players mulitple times in that game, he's not even close to fair.
edit: huh, they've changed tracer rounds to be removed by unrevealable? that sucks, it was the only way for tracer to stay on Valeera or Samuro without ulting.

Because in QM you don't control the comp. You get shit on and just live with it.
In Unranked Draft you get to watch your teammates build a comp that can't win instead.

Bloodlust Brawl again next week.
When I read the Event description the first time, I thought that's what we were getting.
I'm sad now. Gonna play a few games of Brawl before it's gone tonight. Which is something I've never ever said or done before.
