I would imagine the enthusiast-sphere for all platforms constantly whining about how platform x has exclusive y or "needs moar exclusives" forever and ever is the reason why you keep seeing the word exclusive thrown about so much, even if it is just launch window exclusive.

Exclusivity is really important, because the ultimate question is should I buy a PS or XBox, or PC, or Switch. Generally, it's a matter of price and which actually has games you care about that are only found on that system.
I was hoping for more actual info on the Scorpio or x or whatever. I guess a games montage makes sense but it's not what I was hoping for
unfortunately for you that're pretty much the exact opposite of what everyone else wants, and if MS went that route they'd get slated. will probably get grief for opening with tech specs at all to be honest. expected more spec talk paired with the game demos though.

This is what the EasyAllies crew was warning about in their pre-show. The thing they wanted most out of any Sea of Thieves showing was that, please god tell us what it is. If it's just "explore, with no goals" then say it, and not let it be some amorphous No Man's Sky situation.
Is Sea of Thieves a game designed around co-op? Or is it a game you can enjoy fully sp? Looks delightful but may not be for me without solid sp
everything i've seen, and this right now is no different, suggests it co-op all the way. you need multiple people to sail a ship for instance and i don't think there's AI you can delegate tasks too.
