The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
It's a fairly average "mascot" game that launched with the PS4, and is apparently a pet project of Mark Cerny, who lead a lot of the PS4's development. Knack himself is a little not-robot who can grow and shrink depending on how many "chunks" of floating debris he has in him, to show off the leet physics capabilities of the PS4. The game itself was pretty forgettable, from what I understand, and kinda hard for a game with a cutesy mascot type protagonist. (You'd think it'd be a bit easier to appeal to younger kids.)
For whatever reason, he got enough of a following (I'd say an ironic following, but I don't know what truly lies in the heart of Knack fans) to get a sequel. Called Knack 2. Which has 2 Knacks.
i haven't watched a videogamedunkey thing since league of legends banned him for flaming constantly in the game

I sometimes just sit and think about how Knack, the creature itself, is probably actually really technically impressive because of just how many tiny objects his body is made up of, and all of that technical horsepower is leveraged toward making something that just looks really terrible.

I'm surprisingly interested in trying out Mario + Rabbids = XCOM
I'm super hyped for Wolfenstein: Let Us Kill All Varieties of Nazis
I wish I could be as hype as Wyborn always is for e3, cringey speakers and all. But being beside a very hype person lets me rub off on the hype? Or get hype off the... hype vapours?
It's a fun time of year.
Tomorrow I'm making tapioca cheese puffs and a chocolate cake in celebration of the Nintendo event

It is in no way revolutionary, it's a solid B-tier game
I feel like it maybe had unfair expectations placed upon it due to being a launch game, but if you see it for $20 or less I definitely recommend it
Speaking of which, I know they've dropped some of their first party titles to $20 MSRP the last year and a half or so, but I bet we see the return of the Greatest Hits label today

I really really hope they show Spider-Man at the Sony thing
That and God of War are the big ones for me
(That Bloodborne 2 image floating around was bogus as fuck, right)
i never played the first Beyond Good and Evil. how does it hold up to modern standards?
i played it a few years ago, but it's still pretty decent. Jetting around in the hovercar is an absolute joy, and while the stealth parts have probably aged the worst, they are still quite decent, if very old school.
There's basically no chance Sony adds serious backwards compatibility except as a paid extra. When you're winning you don't spend money on an expensive differentiator of questionable value

It was probably more insulting when a Sony exec said like, last week, that people who wanted to play old games were weirdos
I bet there's all sorts of things I could hate the execs for saying, more than things they say about games
An agree is not enough, it really is the biggest glaring issue their console has
But I have a feeling as soon as it left the trial phase and became a product to buy that possibility went out the window
Didn't he basically say "hah our old games look like shit, why would you want to play those??"
because Microsoft got the 360 and the Xbox working and those are both systems that are super hard to emulate
Wouldn't getting the xbox to work on the xbone probably be easier than most given they're both based on the x86 arcitecture?
Getting 360 games running on the Xbone is fucking insane though.
