That's like saying you're first introduction to either Mortal Kombat or DC was "MK vs DC". Why would you choose your introduction to any original IP be a mashup of two?

2-for-1 obviously. You only have to play one game to learn about 2 series.

Would Gabe be more comfortable if the game was set in the Star Wars universe? Like, you'd solve cases for the galactic senate (or whatever it was called before it got dissolved) and have Force-themed puzzles?

But signatures don't really work, do they?

I should play that game again. The plot was bananas.

I liked the Professor Layton games -- though I haven't played any after they moved to 3DS since I don't have one.

    I also like this Layton-themed strip :)

Forgive me for replacing your link with the actual image, but I just wanted it out there, because it's one I come back to quite often. I've never played a Layton game, but I find myself shouting this at characters whenever they come up with some bullshit busywork for me to do when I'm trying to help them, or save the world, or even just give them money for a thing.

I wish they did more Ace Attorney strips.

And TBH, Gabe's comments on the games kinda pissed me off. Maybe if there more Wookies in the Ace Attorney games, he'd give it a go.

It's funny, years ago I would have agreed with Tycho. But somehow I've morphed into Gabe. Reading, and math, in a GAME? Fuck that shit.

Ace Attorney vs Layton was nice. It was an Ace Attorney game with the least interesting parts of it replaced with an entire Layton game.

I can't really blame him professor layton games aren't exactly the greatest. like the linked comic below many of the puzzles are there just to be annoying.

In Layton the puzzles are the game, everything else is just a very nice decoration. If you don't like puzzles the game is not for you, and it does not make the game bad.

Both of the above statements can actually be true at the same time, though. Tastes and all.
