First time in a couple of days where I've been able to TMR farm without getting the "Login Again" screen. Hooray! Also, since I updated Nox to the latest version I haven't gotten any game crashes. If the Login Again issue is actually fixed I may be able to actually run my TMR farm without having to feel like I need to babysit it.
I feel like the magnification trick is really annoying to get going. I had it on and couldn't get it to work properly and then I left it on by mistake. Facebook was fun with it on.
I should check out the training dummy with it. I use up to 3 Tidus' sometimes so it'd be nice to have a perfect chain.
are there particular story event maps you should be farming for specific cryst drops? i've been farming the final map but i'm only looking for some alcrysts and megacrysts
Magical Scrunchie looks useful. It's a better Earring that you get for free. Microphone Stand is a Mag-based Hammer... That's interesting, I suppose. Not something I see myself using, though. An okay armor too.
Randi's Auto-charge and Slice Thrice enhancements look like they've been buffed from what they were in JP. The Auto-charge +2 now has Boosts Attack, which is doesn't have in JP. Slice Thrice now has an increased hit count, which is...weird?
Oh shit, Soleil enhancements buffed as well. Her buff dances now also have breaks attached. Gotta wait for the datamine for numbers, but she may be very useful.
10+1 got me nothing special. A Sozhe and a Helena, but I have no idea who Helena is.

Ace definitely went from zero to hero with his enhancements. Party MP restore of at least 45, sometimes much more, and a -75% imperil for 3 common elements is pretty great. A lot of people who have a Second Knife toss it on him so that his Wild Card hits twice, too. I've already talked about Marie -- which is also great because she's the first unit to use the Green crysts!
Due to odd wording on the enhancements announcement, it looks like Randi gets +100% equipment ATK/DEF/SPR when single wielding (where it was only ATK in JP) when fully enhanced. May very well be a typo or other error, but we'll have to wait until the datamine to see.

Yeah, Fryevia alone isn't enough to beat ELT. You have an Orlandeau. He could probably do it with a friend Orlandeau chain. He'll need a light weapon and some attack gear/materia, though.
I noticed the Vernard, thought you were trying some weird FV strat.
I think I was going to equip Fryevia's Needle on FV for a few minutes, do a few calculations on whether the total damage of a Needle-less Fryevia and Needle FV was higher than regular Fryevia and FV with the event Ice spear/halberd. I got distracted with something else and forgot I unequipped Fryevia.
I should probably still do that calculation, but I think I'll wait until the unit calculator updates and let it do it for me.
[edit] Also, daily was an Eve, who apparently is a half-naked man instead of a lady as I had thought. Free 30% HP TMR. That's good. Means farming one less Hill Digger.

There aren't really a lot of good options to us LB pots on. A few days ago, I fed like 3 rows of the small LB pots to Timothy for his buffs? breaks? One of the two. That was with 9S in my inventory, who is Timothy but better. The lowest tier of LB pots give a minuscule amount of LB exp, so I don't feel terrible about it, but still. I plan to research my LB pot expenditure better from now on.

Anyone know if Algeon is cheesable? (like a 100% evade/resist setup with a single character that works)? Large sword mastery and that fist would be nice on 2B.

If you have an old phone, there's the current bug with 2B that should work until maintenance. Other than that, all his attacks are magic hybrid damage so I don't think they can be evaded.

If you can grab a 2B friend you can try to cheese it with the bugged Spear attack that randomly does 1 damage or OHKOs all machine monsters before they fix it. Other than that, cheese doesn't really work for Aigaion since most of his attacks are magical attacks that do physical damage, so you need super high magic dodge.

Oh, you're talking about the story event. Hmm... What's your team composition like? If your team isn't strong enough to deal with higher level difficulty content, the best strategy is to get a strong friend unit and dedicate your entire team to supporting said friend unit.
Which is to say, don't bother using atk/mag gear, because they won't be doing damage. Gear for HP, and if you don't have HP, gear for def/spr. Only use support units. You need to 1) break the enemies. Breaking atk/mag means you survive longer. Breaking def/spr means your friend unit does more damage. 2) Buff your own dudes, to make them survive longer and to make your friend unit hit harder. 3) Raise elemental resistances through abilities and gear. If the boss Lasswell and Rain are anything like their units, you should focus on Ice (for Lasswell) and Fire & Earth (for Rain). Not sure about this. 4) Use damage mitigation skills, like Rikku's LB, Golem esper, even WoL's Light's With Us.
Of course, you need a tank, healer, etc. The usual. If possible, use a unit that can chain with your friend unit, even if your unit does shit damage. It's not there to do damage. It's there to make a chain, which causes your friend unit to do significantly more damage. Like 4x more damage.
You've been leveling Rikku, right? Rikku is extremely versatile as a budget chainer buddy. Lightning Bolt chains with Tidus' Quick Hit and Orlandeau's Lighting Stab, Tidal Wave chains with Tidus' Energy Rain.
Your best bet is to chain Lightning Bolt with Quick Hit. Equip a weapon on Rikku that matches the element of your friend Tidus' weapon. Practice chaining in Earth Shrine Exploration or write a macro.

She was from the last story event. Not a great unit but good TMR for Rikku or Zarg (50% LB increase + 5% MP refresh).
