Thanks, man. I'm sick to goddamn death of seeing anime characters on the side of people's cars (it's stupid, it's overdone, seriously), so I figured I'd pay homage to a band I like. I'm going to try to make a Pearl Jam car at some point, I just need to decide on what logo to use.
I have'nt really figited with Forza's paint tools yet, but the best way to make lightning I found is-
- Creating the lightining with a soft blue/purple color first with an airbrushy paint tool.
- Get a more solid shaped brush with a smaller size than the first soft brush and draw the white glow in the middle.
Give it a go on a test car, paint it black, make the soft brush blue and then paint with the more solid brush on the inside

There's....there's a paint tool? I haven't seen any paint tool. All I've seen is shapes that you have to fuck around with.

The weirdest thing happened. I'm creating this paint job of Fenriz from Darkthrone, and to shape his face to what I thought looked ok, I used an oval of the car's paint color. It looked fine.
However when I took it on a track to whip around for a snapshot, there are thin black lines that outline the oval shapes that I used to trim the face. These lines were not there while painting.
I took this snapshot because I was proud of my progress and was done for the day. Now I wonder, if I try to cover up these invisible lines, will more lines reappear further out? I get the feeling that this paint job is just fucked. Anyone had this problem? I've used this same method for other cars with no troubles.
We had a problem with a car like that. Some of the cars that come with racing stripes on them that you can't seem to get rid of. If you put a large color decal over it or something to mask it sometimes the old stuff shows through, especially after getting hit.

Of course, your car could just be fucked.
Unfortunately mine was just a plain solid color beforehand. It's officially fucked, I tried covering it up and it did just made more outlines.

I've been meaning to make a darkthrone car, alas, I've been beaten. Good job though, and I don't know what to do about the black outlines.
I was about halfway, and now that it's ugly I'll probably trash it and try again. I say give it a shot, especially if you can do it better. I'm no good at this at all, so I'd assume that you can.

Maybe entering edit mode and leaving edit mode fixes it. Otherwise select all layers, save them as template. Delete all layers paste the template (layers will remain intact) and then resave the paintjob.
So I just got a chance to sit down and play the career mode for a while. I fucking love this game.
I'm wondering if picking Asia was a good idea though. I dumped my first car immediately after winning the Trueno Sprinter after the first event because I was thinking "Initial D!" but now I am wondering if that was a good move. I did a bunch of upgrades on it so I have a bunch of cash invested in it. About when should I look into getting a new car, or should I just wait to win a better one?

Honestly, don't ditch your car until there's no more events left for you to do in it. I held onto my Mini Cooper for a long time, and by the time I finished the game events with it I'd upgraded it to a class S, and it was perfect for using in some of the lower-end class S races online. Still have it today.

That was my initial inclination.
So uhm...
How the fuck do people paint all those pretty pictures on their cars?

Yeah, so technically that is painting. Really god damn slowly.

I haven't had as much time to play this lately as I wanted. I'm moving next week (back to Edmonton, actually) so everything's all boxed up and in a giant pile in my apartment.
But after next week though... oh my, all I'll be doing is playing Forza.
Ok so today i thought fuck it, instead of trying to find someone else to make me a manchester united logo ill give it a go myself, you know how hard could it be anyway i though...
Anyway, MANY hours later here is what ive ended up with. Now be gentle, this is the first thing ive done with the editor so some parts are a little rough around the edges but for the most part im pleased with it.
Heres the image i used as for referance incase you dont know who manchester united are
Okay, this is weird. I'm thinking of renting this game for the painting option alone, and thinking about buying it if it's 'for me'. The racing is totally secondary.
I'm not the only one, right?

@vgreminders - Don't miss out on timed events in gaming! @gamefacts - Totally and utterly true gaming facts on the regular!
The racing is absolutely awesome though. Especially for me since I have never really been able to get into a sim type racing game. The line is the best thing ever.

Absolutely not. Forza 2 is not a racing sim. It's a car-painting sim where you get to drive the cars afterward.
Also, I will offer handjobs to someone who can make me a spot-on set of New England Patriots logos. i.e.:
and
Seriously. Many fucking handjobs. My gamertag is FiveAgainst1. I don't care what car you put them on, as long as you make them big enough. I'll pay for the price of the car, and a little extra if you insist.
I just set up five eight-hour auctions for each design (GH2 Chevelle and Armadeaddon Mini). The buyouts are significantly overpriced "I wish" amounts... because I want to see if people are willing to pay that much and I won't be selling more than five of each. Either they'll all go for less than the buyout... or I'm vastly underestimating your enthusiasm for Penny Arcade.
EDIT: Apparently, even the starting bids were seen as excessive. You can win that many credits in a single endurance race... which amounts to a fraction of the time it took to do the paint job. Oh well, I'll try again later.

Thanks for all the complements on the logo, makes all the hours i wasted making it seem less wasted...
Anyway, ive done a bit of work on a car. Wasnt really sure how to use the logo i made so just slapped some stuff on the car and make an AIG logo (the sponsors of Manchester United) and thats basically where im at how.
Not really sure what else to do, though i really do need to change the rims.
Hi guys,
I just got this game, and I'm up to Level 7. I got gifted a Renault Clio for completing the Hot Hatch races I think, and I've been racing it.
Well, crashing it.
It's RWD, whereas everything I had was FWD. I spin a lot if I hit the accelerator when it's turning. This seems to be natural, but it seems so different to the FWD I wonder if I've done something wrong. Is it because the handling is too low (or high!) or just because it's RWD and I need to be more careful?
Just think of RWD of pushing the back of the car, while FWD is pulling the front of the car.
If the back of you car starts pushing faster then your front during a turn, bad things are going to happen. With RWD you'll want to do your slowing down into the turn, and then accelerate out of it.
Has anyone made the Deathproof car yet? I want to make it but don't have my 360 right now, so I have to wait until I go to my friends house.
So far we've made a penis car, a band car and a blood splattered car.
