Hm...I wonder if it's possible to just burst past his 75% Omninegator and into his 50% one.
It is possible. My first attempt (with UCS RW) did so. I lost, but it can be done.
I'm so mad about the Spirit Mote situation. 1 short is so annoying. When do we get another?
Garuda Rebirth. He at least gives 24 Spirit motes.
Ok. Better.

Aside from mistiming Kain's BSB entry and wasting it on the Omegashield thing, this wasn't really hard for me at all. Anything that got past the Asylum bubble was immediately healed by the instant C1. 80k damage from Lightning's BSB entry is a heck of a thing.

Pecil RW'd, and Paladin Force came through for me and wiped out the adds (the second and third were doing 21k per hit). Orlandeau went OSB>RW>BSB, then started pounding out 60k C1s to finish off the boss. Belias had so much HP that even after the Paladin Forces and Orlandeau's BSB (which hit for 140k) he was still at 30-40% HP, forcing Orlandeau to grind it out.
So, for 5* motes, currently we have like 253 Bravery, 279 Dexterity, 281 Vitality, 181 Wisdom, and 99 Spirit.
A+ planning job on this, Dena. What could possibly go wrong?
I like the implicit assumption that people managed to complete every CM. ;P
It looks even worse for Spirit with that in mind. We have already gotten a spirit CM as I recall. Forget which one it was though so maybe I am off. I will double check later.
I think it might be time to start angling for those QoL record materia, starting with the EXP ones. So Onion Knight (I intend to get him to 99 eventually so this isn't a waste), Cid (I think I have his MC2 from an event), and in the far far future when MC3's are raining from on high I'll boost Luneth.
I like the implicit assumption that people managed to complete every CM. ;P
Should be possible for even F2P players who've been playing since the start though?

Blargh. RMs are crazy. Nine took forever until he dropped his. Swapped Core Magus in, and he dropped his in the first battle. Now I'm trying for Core Warrior's, and it's looking to go the way of Nine. I just want to catch them all, game! Is that so terrible?

Honestly, I would expect newer players to have more have an edge at this stage. I dunno about a timeline for when the power creep hits, but the limited need for powerful positions, and the generally better relics gives them an edge. At least if they started from the start of MC3 introductions. Catching up on those has to really suck.

It was Bahamut. The very first one, and by far the hardest to build a team for. I only got 10/30 and I've maxed every CM since.

Ugh ended up missing mastery on warmech. What is my goal on this thing to kill it dead from 60%? What's the best way to do that?

In case anyone else has trouble the best way to do this is to imperil it three times armor break full break +30% atk and magic and zack attack up and crit up rw cloud rw on raijin BSB and detonate for nine x 64k.
i just murdered it the only fashioned way. if you have an instant curaja c1 burst it's not that bad. i used desch and lightning to do about 90% of the damage, and reno was there because i didn't know who else to bring with lightning damage, but he did very little outside of helping to pop the bubble. y'shtola's C1s would just invalidate the warmech's turn most times, since 5k instant heals are value.

There is no way a newer player has effective relics for the rarer realms enough to do CMs at this difficulty. If you didn't chase a bunch of OK stuff and get other III incidentally, you probably don't have much for that realm. People rarely had stuff for II either. III's Torment also happened to be one of the harder ones, compounding that.

In this context 'newer' is in regards to 'played since start of RK', so that covers a lot of people, some of whom probably do alright on CMs. I can vouche that many of my firat year pulls are now at best augmenting some newer flashier piece while otherels merely sold for gil (pre garenteed 5 was a dark time). The only two SBs that see the light of day are SG and Stoneskin and unique SBs don't even give stat bumps. Since several of those pulls were made using mythril from Realm dungeons then it follows that a player starting later, say at the advent of G5, probably put those pulls to better use.
For the most part, anyone that has been playing for over a year is probably in the same basic spot relative to relics and general power level. One of the nice things about power creep is that it allows "newer" players to catch up.
I can also state there are a handful of CMs I was not able to complete, the typical II and III realm stuff, and some other odd ones over time.
Debating whether to use my second MC3 on Tifa or not. Figure I should considering I have her OSB, USB, and SSB so that's just free stats and she punches things pretty damn hard.

XII Torment incoming, prep your lightning teams. Runic's also solid for the D200 and D250.
Don't mind me being salty in the corner having Ashe with only SSB and OSB so she isn't freaking usable and I still have literally never used her OSB.
I'll be trying the CM probably with Larsa, Penelo, and Fran and no Wall. Not sure how that's going to play out.
I dunno how this CM is going to work out for me. 2 80s, and only Ashe has anything usable. Well, I do have Fran's lightning imperil so that will be nice, but thats about it. I also have Balthier's fire imperil, and some garbage SBs for Vaan. My initial plan is Fran, Balthier, Ashe, Ramza, and Lenna. Ramza and Lenna have USBs so both magic and physical should be viable. Shout will give me haste. RW Wall isn't a bad play either. I just do not like my odds for a 3CM over all.
XII Torment? And lightning is usable? Good thing XII is, by far, my most overpowered realm.
The 200 is going to be pretty easy considering I have SSB+ on literally every XII character.
The 3-man CM is going to be even easier as Fran is already on my standard JS team, and now I can just toss in Vaan (BSB) and Basch (ATK/DEF buff) to replace Irvine and Ramza, then let Lightning do her thing.

@spectrum I cribbed your strategy for the Rebirth Warmech, so thanks! I just slotted in similar characters, but used basically the same strat. Just missed taking the boss from 60% to dead, so I had to deal with the second Omninegator, which was annoying. The boss did his AoE piercing attack twice in a row, which left everyone critical (would have been dead if not for Bubble), and I panicked and pulled the trigger on Lightning BSB2 before Fran could get a second stack of Imperil up. Oh well.
In other good news, Warrior finally dropped his RM2, so that just leaves Core Knight and I'll have all the random battle Core RMs, which is nice, because they are unhelpful when I cart them around during dailies et al.
I'm looking over Steiner's Record Dive and Legend Dive, and all this stuff that boosts the power of Spellblades makes me so very annoyed by the fact that his Burst Soul Break's commands are Combat type.

That was such a terrible move, intentional or oversight. He just needs a BSB2 to take advantage of his Dive. That or well honed Twinstrikers, I suppose (which are now Quadstrikes, I suppose?).
Wonder if the names of the spellblades will change with their implementation. I'm still kind of bothered that Bio Grenade shows 3 grenades falling but only 2 hits happen.

With PoE out...I have fallen so far behind in everything.
Got to finish this Gigas Torment before it rotates tonight.
Managed the II torment 250 and 300 3 man CM the other day. For the 200 I just had to RW wall so I could get it back up if Y'shtola was busy. 300 took 2 shots, after the first try I realized taking out the Ice guy first with SB's took away a huge amount of incoming damage. I was pleasantly surprised to realize I had Guy's AEO imperil earth SSB, that and Maria BSB made the CM pretty easy.

Yea, okay, I don't normally have a high opinion of regular SSBs, but Sea Lord's Broadside, you did the lord's work in the II torment.

Nothing has made me so thankful for having Irvine's pentabreak SSB and his BSB as JS battles. Being able to throw out 3-4 stacking DEF breaks using one character is so good.

Dual breaks are just amazing. I have one's that are unique SBs and still get tons of mileage out of them of needed. Gordon's Goddess Bell comes to mind most recently.

Layered breaks may actually be the optimal way to traditionally take it down, if you can overlap lightning attacks.
