Tomorrow is the last day to send in your creative challenge entries, and the last day to sing up for the backlog challenge! GET YOUR ENTRIES IN NOW GUYS!
When does backlog challenge officially begin?
Monday 17th, until the 7th.
Can I sign up? I'm notoriously bad at these things, but I have a week left before I go back to work so hopefully I can knock out a couple games this time.
Any pre-reqs to this I haven't met yet?
Everyone is welcome to sign up, we reached it as a stretch goal so its available to the entire community, no matter what. We're up to 33 entrants, so the more the merrier.
Ok cool, sign me up then please. I have a few games in mind I'd like to get through for this.
So I checked the steam activity page at work right now......
"SHE SAVE" is a short action game that a girl with horns fights to save something.
It's necessary to fight dragons that have big power in her mission.
She can not jump over an attack of dragon, but she can attack by a sword, and can protects by a shield, can heal by magic
HUE is a puzzle platformer where you play as a character who slowly gains the ability to change the background to various colors, which in turn allows items of that color to "fade" into the background so you can pass through them. It's a very simple mechanic, but one which carries the game quite far - there's a LOT of variety to the puzzles and it's not until closer to the end of the game that you have to start worrying about timing, so it never feels too far out of reach. The story can get a tad navel gaze-y at times, but it works. Controls a very tight, at least with a controller. However, I would say that this is explicitly NOT suited to a Steam controller - I tried to pick it up downstairs on the TV with it, and once you get to that "timing matters" section of the game, the touchpad just can't replicate what's needed with the second joystick. Can't speak for KBAM. Still, well recommended. The game's good fun.
Woo. That puts us up to 35 entrants. If you're still waffling on joining up, a lot of people had a lot of fun with it. Theres no pressure to do anything, its just that if you DO complete games you add points to your team.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.

I'd join, but currently feel like I can't have any fun because I'm moving in a few weeks and holy shit have I realized I have a lot to do.

Everytime I move it seems I leave at least 80% of everything behind. You could try that, but I don't really recommend it.

I'm leaving some stuff (mostly furniture) in storage, but all the games that I've accumulated are coming with me!
My Steam library is fairly easy to bring along, of course. I'm definitely appreciating being able to bring along 1000+ games in the trunk of the car.
remember that this backlog challenge you can replay FFV if you want, since there is a charity drive for the 4 Job Fiesta, I wouldn't want anyone taking part in that to choose between this challenge and that one. Everyone playing the challenge is able to replay FFV if they so desire.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
I already have a Shortlist category on Steam so I'm just going to pick games that I feel like playing from there. I'm probably going to start by playing a couple of Telltale games as those are pretty straightforward and easy to beat without too much work. I'm also going to wait for Corrigan to post details about the extra challenges and then try to pick games that fit.

Oh, who are we kidding? MMOs don't have endings...
This was my problem the previous two times. I discovered seasons in Diablo and then I rediscovered ESO. I promise to try and stay away from never ending games for the next few weeks though!
Cosmic Star Heroine for sure. Eyeing Batman: Arkham City, Marlow Briggs, One Way Heroics, Saint's Row 2, Sang-Froid: Tales of Werewolves, and Ys II as potential others.

Oh shit Diablo season 11 starts next weekend and I just picked up necro.
I should've known this would happen. Posting the synopsis/blurb for She Save was enough to warrant a gifting from @Pixelated Pixie! I guess I have another one for the backlog challenge! Thanks Pinky!
Oh shit, I was gifted Aragami during the sale, I was super interested in it after watching someone play it on stream (Was it @KoopahTroopah ?) I should put that on the front of the list for the challenge too.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
I hate myself for doing so, but I'm saving Bleed 2 and a bunch of VNs for it.
...I just found I own Subnautica, and I finally have a system that can run it. Hard to get used to an 8GB graphics card when my old dinosaur lappy couldn't even handle 1GB of video power...
I can has cheezburger, yes?

Hopefully I'm not too late for the backlog challenge, last day to sign up is today, right?
In that case, count me in @CorriganX ! Not sure what I'll play other than another FFV run, but my backlog is plenty big enough that I'll figure it out as I go.

I did stream co-op with a friend for quite a bit. The game is very fun with a friend and definitely recommend it with some kind of voice chat. There's a lot of coordination that needs to happen to sneakily take down everyone.

@Pixelated Pixie I think the Shadowrun games fall under this category if you haven't already played them.
SteamID: edgruberman GOG Galaxy: EdGruberman
Shadowrun? Also, your theme could use the OG Pixie.
(From Shin Megami Tensei)
Somebody really needs to teach @Viking the meaning of "proportional response" because he CLEARLY DOES NOT GET IT.
Thanks for She Save, Battle Girls, Bot Vice, and the truck paint jobs! You fiend.

If you like CRPGs, Pixie, I would consider Shadowrun Dragonfall to be essential.
World of Warcraft is sort of an obvious choice here.
Also The Temple of Elemental Evil, maybe? I don't remember which D&D edition rules that's based on.

Go for it. I've let my team down two times in a row now and they still accept me!
Currently downloading Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights 2 to check those options out.
That is amazing.

Okay I'm sold, sign me up @CorriganX !.
I haven't played much of song of the deep so that seems like an easy one to tackle first as part of it.
Also, what was the name of that free to try math based rogue like? Something about Hydras. I'd use the search feature but it's atrocious on mobile.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
Hydra Slayer! I'm also on mobile so I can't grab the link
I'd join, but currently feel like I can't have any fun because I'm moving in a few weeks and holy shit have I realized I have a lot to do.
So that's three due to @UseR2006 (Thanks for Never Alone, Epistory and Soul Set!) and one from @Stabbity Style (thanks for Moonchild!)

That's it thanks! I can Google, just couldn't remember the name and for some reason didn't get it when it was talked about.
I'm looking at FEAR, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Costume Quest 2. If I can finish those I'll be happy, but will try for some more.
I'll probably stick to ESO and maybe some Overwatch tonight and tomorrow while I wait to begin the single player games.

@JaysonFour heard me talking about him in chat apparently.
Thanks for Die Young! This has been on top of my wishlist since I first stumbled on it.
Thanks for Bleed 2, @Pixelated Pixie . I really enjoyed the first one and was going to play it... but now I can bust out the sequel! Many thanks!
I can has cheezburger, yes?
- Aragami
- Giga Wrecker (on the shortlist)
- Hollow Knight
- Trails in the Sky 1
- Other stuff as I remember
I won't finish any of them, but still.
