I had to bail early (heh, "early"), but Meadow is really good times. Thanks for running the Running of the Badgers, Pheasants, Frogs, Lynxes, Foxes, Bears, and I'm probably forgetting more, @Berylline !
I'm... not sure if I want it on Steam or not. I already do own the boardgame, and I'm not seeing anything much that'd justify getting the digital version as well (except for picking up the expansions for cheap).

Besides, Champions of Midgard is better.
i mean, i'm not getting the digital version, playing it in real life is why I got the board game.
But i'm happy because it might lead to more people getting to know that awesome game.
I don't think I saw this mentioned earlier but Cardboard Computer announced that Kentucky Route Zero is getting ported to Switch, Xbox One, and PS4. Those ports will have all five acts, and the fifth act will launch concurrently on Steam with them, so currently the expected timeframe for the final act of Kentucky Route Zero is early 2018.
We'll see if that holds, but still. Exciting.
They've also mentioned a couple of enhancements for it but have been vague about what exactly that entails. They're also working on localization in French, Italian, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Japanese, and Korean.
Can anyone point to a current/good ARK LP? I can't stand playing it myself but I'm very interested in seeing how it goes later in the game.
I personally enjoy the Neebs Gaming plays on it. They are the people that made Battlefield Friends cartoons.
They have vids from the original map and Scorched Earth.
I watched Sl1pg8r (ugh, I know) do quite a bit of an LP earlier this year and enjoyed his videos. He keeps the juvenile YouTube let's player stuff (the hypermanic crap most of them do) to a minimum, for the most part, and I thought he was entertaining and informative. I see he's still posting ARK videos, and it looks like he's playing on the new Ragnarok map, so I'm actually thinking of starting his new series up to watch myself.
That computer in the thumbnail and first part of that trailer? I had one of those.
Obviously the branding isn't in place in Stories Untold's version of it but that's very clearly a Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128K +2 (the +2 was the model with the built-in tape deck). And yes, they did sound like that when loading something. The same flashing on the screen border, the way the loading screen draws in monochrome before the limited colour fills in... ah, memories. But yeah, that was my second-ever computer, which I was rocking in the latter half of the '80s, and which replaced an earlier version of the Spectrum that was my first computer.
Have you played Life of Pixel? It's a fairly decent platformer with surprisingly accurate replicas of graphics from about that era (and a bit after). The Speccy-looking stuff doesn't quite manage the only-two-colours-per-character glitching that real Spectrums did at runtime, but it definitely has the same feel. (I bought it for the BBC B replica; the ZX81 is also convincing, and I'm sure people that had Amstrads et al would also be convinced):

Nope, but wishlist +1, that looks great.
Rock Boshers DX: Director's Cut also has a Spectrum-themed graphics mode. It replicates the colour limitations very well but I forget if it actually shows colour clash.
For anyone scratching their heads, the Spectrum computers could only display two colours per 8x8 pixel character block, with colour stored separately in its own 32x24 overlay from the actual 256x192 image, with a palette of 15 colours available (8 basic, 7 of which - all but black - also had a "bright" setting). It was designed that way to save memory, since the machines only came in 16K and 48K, and later 128K, configurations, and it somehow wasn't foreseen at the time of the initial design that they'd become primarily gaming machines. Some games were practically monochrome as a result, but some managed ingenious solutions to get as much colour on-screen as they could. It became an iconic part of how Spectrum games so distinctively looked.

Ill have to check this out. My pc is way too underpowered for Ark so I like to watch these from people with pc's that do the game justice.
One game in the latest monthly bundle that I do already own it Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight. I bought it a while back because I've enjoyed the previous Momodora games (the first two are free downloads, the third is on Steam). You don't need to have played the previous games, though. It's a sidescrolling sorta-Metroidvania game, but it's also hard as hell. I've been stuck on a boss for a while now, although admittedly I just haven't sat down for an hour or so to figure out its patterns.
Were you guys trying to recreate "The Animals of Farthing Wood" ?
Because that will lead to a lot of death and tears.
I was mulling over Watership Down, but you're probably closer to the mark.
Although either way it was devoid of horror and bloodshed and psychological torment. Probably the closest we got to that was when @Berylline unlocked a Bambi style skin, further convincing half of us that she was in fact a deer rather than a goat.
Which is quite possibly something she's never had said about her before.
Thanks @Zavian for Human: Fall Flat! I hope to convince a friend of mine to play this coop sometime. Physics based hijinks are better with friends when all inevitably goes wrong.
Got Prey on a sale recently, I'm loving how System Shock-y it is, plenty of exploration and allowance for the player to basically invent ways to do things. Ledge just out of reach? Make some GLOO steps! Boxes in the way and you can't move them yet? Just break them down with a recycle bomb.
I don't like how easy it is to get stuck in terrain, however. The game simply stops allowing you to move if you get wedged somewhere, so you can't even attempt to dislodge yourself, you're pretty much stuck reloading.
I'm already wise to the Mimics though - if you've ever had an asshole cat, you already know their tricks.

Sold most of my cards earlier, since I've been lazy and letting them accumulate. That was a fast and easy $9. Now just to let idlemaster do its thing and collect the last 1254 I still have available... >.>

Their pressence is tipped off by falling cups?
As well as saying "alright you little shithead" when you're trying to figure out where they're hiding when they scratch you on the ass and then run around the corner.

On a scale from 1 to 10, how ashamed should I be if I name my undead necromancer Scully?
American Truck Simulator is pretty nice. I find that I can't really listening to podcasts while driving in real life, so this gives me a nice little way to listen to them without worrying too much when I absentmindedly drift into oncoming traffic. Kind of need a break during this long haul though, and this seems like as good a place as any to catch a little rest.

Steam Support is the worst. Seriously, the worst

Man I loved that game. The ground battles weren't much to talk about without heavy modding but the space battles were tons of fun even out of the box.

Calling it a System Shock would have fit well.
Has been many years since I hid in a closet to do some 'research'

So... the dead leading the dead?
When you're a zombie, one of your main imperatives is to get more dead walking.
Wait a second...
Died five times to a boss in Origin (or was it Oath in Felghana?), got a cheev telling me to just go look up a guide already.
it's only natural for one dead person to help other dead people live their life to the fullest.
