crons are way cooler now that the c'tan are basically not a thing
Did they retcon the c'tan out in the new edition?
i guess so:
After the end of the War in Heaven against their ancient foes the Old Ones, the Necrons, led by the Silent King Szarekh, successfully rebelled against their C'tan Star Gods. Those C'tan who survived the revolt were broken into fragments known as C'tan Shards that were more easily contained and imprisoned within arcane Necron devices known as Tesseract Labyrinths. At present, since the Necrons' Great Awakening began in the mid-41st Millennium, these C'tan Shards are deployed when needed as the Necron Dynasties' greatest weapons on the battlefield. However, there always exists the possibility that the imprisoned C'tan will escape their captors. Then they will wreak a terrible vengeance upon their captors and the innocent alike...
that's super dumb, the c'tan were the neatest thing about them.
If it means I get a dope mech and can hang out with KrootDudes then hell yes
Nah, that's the sucker's bet. Earth caste all the way. Fire caste is always getting killed, because it's their job. Water Caste has to try and figure out how to negotiate with people who will regularly reach across the table and kill you. Ethereals are getting assassinated by enemies like they're a Hive Mind node.
A nice, comfortable Earth Caste laborer position where you can live a normal life, that's the way to go.

You need help kicking this imperialist swine, comrade?
IIRC, it used to be the Necrons were all more or less mindless automatons and the only actual minds in their army where the C'tan pieces (Nightbringer and Deceiver) who were the actual incarnations of ancient star eating gods who for some reason or other decided they needed to show up on the battlefield and wipe out this specific dozen marines instead of blowing up the star or reaping the entire population of a hive world. Now the C'tan that you play are just a tiny fragment of an actual C'tan that's enslaved by the no longer soulless mindless necrons.

Lets face it the best d&d movies have been made, they are called the fast and the furious movies, and for some fuckin reason all the players min maxxed driving and auto repair above like everything, and the DM just leans into it.
Not only would I believe someone if they told me the Wrench Fight in 7 was Vin Diesal walking into set with a highlighted page of an Artemis Enteri and Drizzt fight, but if someone told me it wasn't I might not believe it.
I really like the art better in 11. Even though I didn't like the game part at much.
Also my favorite Warhammer race is the doozers

Even though I have probably thousands of dollars of Imperial Guard, I always liked the Tau. At the time my painting skills were not smooth enough to satisfy me. I have a small force of them only.
I played Ork Speed Freaks. Cause red wons goh fastah.
Every Ork is shades of green, every vehicle is shades of red. Everyone is painted with copious red details
Of course I learned years later that I'm red green colorblind, so really who knows how they were painted :rotate:

I was a Tyranid player, and I have a soft spot for them as a result
Although in some ways, that's more of a soft spot for Imperial Guard than Tyranids
Both good. Especially if you wanted your experience of learning to paint tiny mans to include perpetually throwing tiny mans at the closest wall because tiny mans are difficult to paint when they're like 90 percent tentacles and teeth.
I was just thinking about how hilarious their codices always are
in one of them there's a diagram of a trukk, which is just already fundamentally hilarious, but they also took the time to label the big fuck-off gob it has on the front, and it says "fer KRUMPIN' stuff"
My ex-boss got into a car accident. Lost his left leg below the knee. He will require a prosthetic.
He plays orks.
Watching face light up when I suggested he could fashion a decorative cover that made his prosthetic look like it was assembled by a Mad Dok went a long way toward making me confident that he's gonna be okay.

That's when you go to the cheat dropdown and pick alien invasion. That'll show em!
but they're listening to every word I say
All of them
Is The Pacifier canon in the Vin Diesel Cinematic Universe™?
Every Riddick movie (duh)
Every F&F movie at least past 5
Well yeah, otherwise you don't get Harlequins.
Harlequins kick ass.
Riddick is one of his D&D characters, apparently. So there's a few films.
Is it actually good? I had a friend who wanted to go see it but we never did.
but the Necron are the best
I loved it. You can tell it's made with love and it's got a cool mythology. I wish we could get more movies in the universe.

You mean the Tarutaru.
Tarutaru are amazing.
I was going to post this. It was all I could think about when I saw the movie. Thankfully I saw it with my RP group back in the day.
So they're basically Pokémon now?
