The Amazing Screw-On Head

So... it was almost a year ago the Sci-Fi channel showed the pilot episode, and called for people to vote if it should see the light of day or not..

Fast forward to today... and nothing.

Wikipedia & sci fi are silent on this issue... so I resolve myself to reading the comics... is this still being made, or is there all that is going to be already on a shelf somewhere ?

    I think the comic was a one-shot.

Don't blame me. I told all my friends and I even had him in my sig for months.

Damn shame though. That pilot episode was awesome.

Paul Giamatti is a pretty busy movie star, something tells me he wouldn't be down for an animated TV series. David Hyde Pierce totally would though...

this sucks, because yes it was totally awesome.

I too weeped at the beauty of that pilot episode and I can't believe it's been a year already since it aired(or close enough to a year for jazz)!

This just reinforces the old saying: If it looks to good to be true...

Darn it. this thing was pimped pretty hard on just about every comic related site I could find. How did it not make it?

I'm fairly sure the DVD is available so give Sci-fi more money?

this probably has nothing to do with the show not being picked up, but Did You Know that Mike Mignola was not the biggest fan of the Screw On Head pilot?

Didn't he say he was hoping it wouldn't be a shot for shot remake, the complete opposite of what you'd expect from the creator?

Regardless, I doubt he was that disappointed.

Mignola likes to see different things done with his ideas. He actually really likes the Hellboy movies a whole lot. This may have too much like the comic or something.

He helped make the Hellboy movies. So yeah, I think he was okay with the changes.

Wait.. there is a dvd .. of a single episode?

I really can't understand why it wasn't picked up with all the buzz. Have the poll results ever been shown?

Who honestly would vote no to that, in favor of "Mansquito 3" Because, there really were nagging questions left unanswered in the first 2.
