So what is the hammer build for a crusader?
I have not made up my mind about which I should play this season either a Demon Hunter or a crusader
I Really want the wings with the crusader the armor but the wings far far more
I found this? when trying to find out more about how to play a crusader
Got my 6-piece Trag and Scythe of the Cycle cubed. Necro is awesome! I really missed a true pet class - Witch Doctor never felt quite right, even tho it’s been my most-played and favorite D3 class i’d say.
Thanks to the guildies who got me to 70 and helped me finish up the seasonal journey

I was thinking I'd run Necro again because it's new and shiny and also I didn't play with any of the Trag'ouls builds last season
thanks to the latest patch there are a lot of hotnesses right now, and multiple hotness builds per class even.
necros, wizards, DHs, Barbs - I know for sure these are all good
I want to say monks and crusaders are good too but I don't play those very much so haven't paid attention.
So I'd say play whatever class you feel like! And maybe check the patch notes if you want to make a more detailed decision - a lot of different builds are now viable compared to previous seasons.
I'm pretty okay with being a Spider Doctor, even to the point of naming my seasonal character "ItsyBitsy", because I'm easily amused like that.
Cleared that lvl 20 GRift last night to finish the set up and am now pretty amused just watching my spiders kill stuff. Sure, I won't climb to the peaks of GRifting levels, but I'm okay with that.
Been running Whirlwind/Frenzy(instead of Spear and Sprint) in meanwhile cause I got the Whirlwind damage on a ring.
I crafted a polearm and upgraded to get the Standoff I needed for Kanai's Cube power first try this morning. Haven't been able to try it out yet though.

I'm gonna give the monk a shot for this season. Thankfully I got that legendary gem that's like "have all the XP and the weapon this is equipped on has a requirement of 1." Construct a level 70 legendary daibo and WHEEEEEEEEEEE.

Forgot already from last season, but man, Necro sure does suck to level
I got incredibly lucky and got basically the full delsere package ready to go before paragon 400 through some boosting. Clearing grift 70 with 2 gems below 25 is pretty amusing, seeing how hard it used to be before a couple of rounds of buffs.
So still on the fence of what to play this season either crusader or demon hunter
I quickly made a demon hunter to do comp with my brother's DM and well that was fun I did not know there were achievements for comp
I tried a Skeletal Mage with TrangOul and...I’m a bit disappointed. I mean it melts things but I feel I need a bit of a ramp up to start the killing while everyone else just runs up and melts stuff in T6.

Do you have the ring that boosts the number of Skeletal Mages? When I played last season I found the whole skeleton mage thing to be terrible to play until I got the ring; it really should just be baked into the skill, the mages are terrible without it.

Skelemage is really gear dependent I found. Biggest things that move the needle are the Jesseth set, Scythe of the Cycle, Circle ring, etc. And like you said it has a lot of ramp up and any time you get corpse starved the build is a pain. At least there's pretty much infinite teleporting with blood rush to keep moving to find large packs. Personally I have to play it with Reapers Wraps + the passive that causes corpses to spawn health globes just to compensate.
The Falling Sword debuff belt REFUSES to drop for me. I have grinded out so many shards and mats for legendary upgrading. I've gotten enough repeats to strangle a human.

GOD. DAMMIT.
To be fair, it really only takes a single belt to strangle an average human.
Just saying.

The ironic hell of the Diablo series; RNG loot tables.
Was trying to figure out why my survival seemed to get worse yesterday and then I remembered I swapped out the jewelry thing in Kanai's Cube. Really need to farm a Band of Might but until then will go back to whatever I was using before.
Everything dies while in archon, but then it’s a struggle to survive waiting for the cool down. I’ve managed to get ~53% CDR too.
The only time Vyrs didn't feel like a chore to play was with 60%+ CDR + ObZod. But, once you get there it feels real good.
Yeah I've got a Vyrs lightning MH build in a pretty good place right now. You really need a lot of CDR + zodiac ring to make it work. Once you get a large number of archon stacks you do crazy damage.
I am close to being able to pull off some other Wiz builds. I'm really hamstrung by a lack of ancient weapons.

I wouldn't waste the materials upgrading belts. You could maybe make a point if it was on a barbarian and you needed a mighty belt so regular ones didn't also flood the loot pool but the belt shouldn't really be a huge stop gap on the build up until pushing greaters. My general rule is just upgrade weapons because of how many there are per slot and they cost three times as much from Kadala. If I'm at a point where I need one specific thing I'd consider it but I usually value my Death's Breaths since...that's another potential weapon upgrade instead.
Sweet, down to just doing Boss Mode/Curses! and maybe T13 4 minute and the season's done. God, that went fast.
Ya it’s pretty crazy, the journey never really took that long anyway, but now it’s become so trivial to hit t13/gr70+ that everything comes together much faster.
It’s bittersweet, because my interest runs out faster but so has my free time.

Yeah this season has been insanely fast. It does feel nice getting it done early to help others. Plus Boss mode never gets old for me. Just feels good smashing in Malthael's face.
So I've never bothered to go far enough in a season to get the stash tab before, but I think I will this time since it's apparently fairly easy. What are the easiest conquests to get? I'm guessing leveling up legendary gems is one, is the 20 minute boss rush another? I'm not even sure how that works, like do you just go smash their faces in bounty mode, or do you have to be in story mode and speedrun stuff? I haven't even looked to see which bosses are included which would probably answer that pretty quickly I guess, but I'm not about to start the game up at this time of night/morning, so I'll just ask. Any advice would be appreciated.
Yes, it's in adventure mode, and Boss Rush can be completed in a group making it even easier. Note that anyone that wants credit has to fight every boss, but it helps to split up and find stairs.
350 cursed chest kills is another easy one, the only hard part is finding it in Paths of the Drowned, Act V. Check your bounties when you open games, if you have "The Cursed Peat" then the chest is definitely there on that big hill.
The best way to do Curses! is to find a specific Act V bounty in the Paths of the Drowned, "The Cursed Peat". Have everyone in your group make games separately until somebody finds it, then everyone joins their game. [edit] oh duh, Noggin had it in his post. Not enough coffee yet.

It took me over 600 paragon levels to get a band of might. While I was waiting for one to drop, I cubed Aquila's. Since HOTA barb is essentially permanently full on resources, this is a pretty solid boost to toughness. I'm not sure why it's almost never brought up in hota discussions, but it was very helpful for me while waiting for BoM.
If you're playing other builds that don't stay perma-resource full, you can get Ancient Parthan Defenders a shot, depending on how your damage fairs in the content you're doing. My major problem at the moment is that I have enough damage to do GR90+, but don't have any augments or perfect rolls on my gear, so my toughness is a bit of a crap shoot. So I 2 shot elites in 80-83s, but if I get off my rampage stacks, or miss a charge and lose Band of Might, I can get 1 shot by individual quills from quill beasts or spears from impalers, or really, anything that looks my way meanly.

So, I'm running the typical Trag'Ouls necro blood mage build right now. I have an Ancient 2-hander that is there purely for the damage. Would it be better to run non-Ancient Jesseth set over the sheet damage the 2-H provides? I didn't have time to test this morning after getting my first Jesseth via cubing, but I figured that's been figured out already by others already. I'll keep upgrading scythes for an ancient one, anyway.

I found the "the Thrill" conquest to be quite easy, do a T10 rift without using any set gear. There are guides out there for suggestions for every class.

If you're using skelemages, then yes. 400% multiplicative damage is way more than whatever difference non-ancient (~2k dps) 1 hander to ancient (~3.5-4k dps) 2 hander. Plus, the fact that the minions automatically keep retargeting things is a nice quality of life improvement.

I've also thought about trying a completely different class. I don't have much experience playing a monk and would like to try one.
