Yeah you have to be more specific than that

because otherwise I'll just put a zucchini on a grill

    FRIED ZUCCHINI - GREEN TOMATO

2 med. zucchini, sliced 1/2 inch thick
    1 c. milk
    2 beaten eggs
    2 tsp. pepper
    Olive oil

Heat oil in skillet. Mix milk and eggs together; beat well. Dip zucchini slice in milk-egg mixture and roll in bread crumbs mixed with pepper. Fry until brown on both sides. Works well with green tomato slices also.

Don't have my really good frying recipe on hand, so this'll have to do

Ok, cut it into strips, then put it on the grill.

    Dip in dressing of choice.

    Stuffed Dal Puri

    Wheat flour 1 cup
Black gram dal (urad) 1/2 cup
    Red chillies 2 nos
    Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
    Cardamon 2 nos
    Cloves 2 nos
    Cinnamon 1/2" piece
    Water 1/5th cup
    Oil To fry
    Salt To taste

    1. Rub 1 tsp oil into the wheat flour.
    2. Add 1/2 tsp salt to the what flour. Make a soft dough using small amounts of water.
    3. Set aside the dough for 25 minutes, covered with a wet cloth.
    4. Soak black gram dal for at least one hour and grind to a paste adding very little or without any water.
    5. Grind together red chillies, cumin seeds, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon and keep aside.
    6. Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a fry pan. Add the dal paste and the ground masalas, stirring constantly till the dal is fried and the water is absorbed leaving it dry.
    7. Knead and divide the dough into 10 balls.
    8. Make a cup with each ball and fill with the prepared dal mixture. Seal by extending the dough over the filling.
    9. Flatten and roll into a ball, 3" in diameter.
    10. Deep fry in hot oil till golden brown.
    11. Drain and serve hot.

This is like my favorite of all Bengali foods, and I am giving you this recipe because of that and I'm pretty sure its Veggie since it does not have meat. Also, this might be spicier than what you are used too.

    Anyways, enjoy. :)

you can make some really badass salads if you add in red/orange/yellow peppers, with cucumbers. Also some good snacks are: cucumbers with ranch dressing, Tostitos chips/carrots and hummus(I like garlic and tahini - though tomato basil is also great), and cut up red peppers.

If you can, try and find a resturant that does all raw vegetables, its quite the experience and will give you some ideas for when at home (zucchini pasta, anyone?)

For protein, peanut butter is fuckin awesome, also beans of any sort. Personally I like to make quesdillas with tomato, black beans, and cheese.
    1.) get a tortilla
2.) put some shit in it
    3.) fold it in half
4.) put it on a pan on the stove
5.) Flip over when one side looks golden brown/brown
6.) same to the other side
7.) put on plate and eat.

also...red peppers...seriously. Just cut them in half, dig out the middle, and cut the sides into long stripes. Its like nature's french fries. Only healthy and full of antioxidants.

EDIT: also, quacamole is the fucking best if you make it yourself. There are tons of recipes online for it. One of the greatest party snacks of all time. Just be careful as it goes bad after like 5-8 hours exposed to air.

Oh Keith. I am growing to love you more every day.

My favorite thing to make lately, are vegetarian fajitas.
I buy the morning star farms steak strips, and marinate them in a mix of soy, oyster free wocester sauce, pepper, and then I cook them in a skillet for about 10 minutes.
Put them aside, throw some sliced onion and bell pepper into the skillet. Cook on high heat until they're done, add the steak strips back in.
Cook another 2 minutes and serve with tortillas.
It's like, the easiest thing in the world to make, and pretty tasty to boot.
