Well, based on some screwiness with Xbox Store release dates (it said my version would release on 9/20/17) and confusion on my part on when the game was supppsed to activate (thought it was midnight Tueaday, not Wednesday) I uninstalled and reinstalled earlier today around 5p CST in a panic when the title wouldn't launch.
As a result I've gone from having a fully ready to go copy to being at 54% downloaded at midnight with download speeds at 500kbs for spme reason when I normally have 20-30 mbs.

I got such a warm fuzzy feeling when it popped up my raid groups with you guys, all our names. I can't believe that was as long ago as it was, seems like yesterday.
I didnt really like the first game but im enjoying this one, feels much more polished and directed, the npcs and mission dispensers especially seem to have a lot more character than I remember the first game having. Im up to level 10 on Titan, did my first heroic public event out of nowhere and got an achievement, felt very cool. Im on xbox one and I think im in the guild thingy
also the adventures are really cool, like you still have that back tracking that I dont like from the first, but just the framing of the missions is a lot more clear, it feels like im at the center of a narrative this time around, and that things are happening that feel understandable and are being communicated to me effectively.

Got my groove back and will head back to the Farm and call it a night.
First two missions have me hooked. Work tomorrow is going to be agonizing.

Well that was great. Got the farm, jumped around, got some strange buffs called Sentry Ranks, but I have no idea what to do with them. It does make me glow blue, run and jump faster, so maybe there's some kind of challenge to complete?
Quick note on powers
Powers seem to be charging much faster than they did in the beta. Grenade felt like about a minute and 3-5 for the super.
D2 sure didn't waste it's time giving you back as least some baseline powers, and it looks like we'll be gradually unlocking skills as we level. Maybe we unlock the other sub-classes post 18-20?

As a Titan, after a public event (the other supply with the giant servitor) I received a "Titan Relic" from the rewards chest. It's sitting in my subclasses area with a progress bar that goes up as I murder things. The description indicates that once full I'm on my way to reacquiring Striker. This was at about level 6/7.

I got one from a heroic event in the EDZ. Haven't opened it yet though. Anybody know if there is an advantage to waiting till you're 20 before opening them?
It was from the end of a story mission? Not sure if you always get one there or not. Also the engram had a light level on it already, so I think there is 0 point in waiting

I know I got given an exotic item after arriving on the second planet, but I haven't seen any engrams yet. It feels a bit odd running around in greens and whites with an exotic equipped.

There is no advantage to waiting. Item level/quality/whatever you wanna call it is determined at the time it drops based on your best gear loadout possible. https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/46226
Heroic events are the best. Feels like mini rid bosses. Which I guess is what court of oryx felt like.

I've only done two but I really enjoyed the
scorch cannons vs spider tank heroic. Some random canal guy shows up and I dunno if you're supposed to kill him or not but I totally did. I also enjoyed how quickly I figured out the heroic trigger on that one. If I even did.. I think it's just get one of the cannons but I dunno
