You can get giant jpg's from the web version.

Would you mind posting the link? I can see the schedule but can't seem to find the maps online.

Either way, so far the only two panels I know I am going to is the Nintendo one (gotta get there SO EARLY) and the TRG one. Will probably go to a game dev panel or two.

    That's correct.

    For me, probably just:

Life is Strange: Before the Storm - A new series has begun.
    Nintendo at PAX
    Cosplay 201: Robotics and Puppetry

And Maybe the gameshow night stuff, but I'll miss that if Square does another Grimecraft concert at the Hard Rock Friday as a Life is Strange Before the Storm Launch Party. Fingers crossed that happens since the last two partys for Deus Ex and Lara Croft Go were amazing.

Damn that would be so much fun! How/when would we find out about that?

I'm so so sad. Really was hoping to see Giantbomb again but I'm only going to for Fri/Sat and their panel this year is on Sunday. I've finally accepted that but...damn.

I was looking at the schedule and didn't see anything for PAX Arena... is that not happening this year? That would be a bummer.

There is definitely a PAX Arena, same place as it was last year. The schedule on the site has a section for it...but it's blank. I'll kick it up the chain.

Is it PAX <insert nearest future PAX here> yet?

Yeah. They're usually mixed in around the show floor.

Yep. But planning for it means I need to know what games will be there. Otherwise I won't know if that will be my first stop to try to sign up for a tournament, or if it's not one I'm interested and I need to go somewhere else first.

Regarding this, the ArenaNet folks will be occupying Hard Rock on Friday for their Fifth Anniversary party and Lenovo will be there one Saturday. That's not to say Square can't make it happen at a different venue though.

Is that all it will be about? Could you post a link to the info pls? Either way I am still down to get there super early since Metroid II was my childhood game and I love it.

NVM I found it, on the official PAX site.

Here is the link if anyone is curious:

    Kotaku Splitscreen Live
    Middle-Earth: Shadow of War
    Saturday Night Concert
    Thrown Controllers
    Improv Initiates
    Clickhole

I would love to see the Friday Night Concert (Kotaku conflicts) especially since I've been into MC Frontalot lately, but I figure he'll likely be at PAX again in the future, and I don't want to miss Splitscreen Live (huge fan of the podcast!)

Last time I went to PAX (2015) I only went two days - rookie mistake - and missed the TRG panel. When should I get in line for that one? I imagine it's a popular panel, I was planning on two hours ahead of time. Is that overkill?

Heads up that Nintendo Panel was updated...

-Talking Metroid: Samus Returns - Nintendo Minute Live at PAX West
Join us for a live filming of Nintendo Minute! We’ll be taking a look at new game play for Metroid: Samus Returns, showing off some amazing fan art submitted by you and giving away some cool Metroid goodies. Hope to see you there! - Kit & Krysta

Personally Im kind of disappointed, no offense to Metroid fans as Im glad she is coming back and all, but I was hoping for something a little bit more.

Edit - Oops, someone beat me to it, my bad.

Damn it, this one has Nintendo swag giveaway and it's on Saturday! It's gonna fill up early. I'm stalking that line and jumping in as soon as the Enforcers allow it. They could easily fill up Benaroya with this live "Nintendo Direct".

maybe it's just my perception, but I feel like 90% of the PAX goers all have a DS of some sort

Will rush Nintendo's booth on Fri, then line up for their Sat panel. I wonder if they will do something on their booth on Sat too, since that's the date for the next Splatfest? I also need to check Destiny 2 at the Paramount, hoping they have PC demo booths since that's the version I plan to buy if I like it.

FWIW if you're local to the Seattle area and can make it to Tukwila* around September 9/10, the Best Buy there is going to be hosting one of the Nintendo Championship thingys and supposedly Mario Odyssey and Metroid will be there. Those are the rumors I've heard swirling around the mill, anyway

*city motto: go ahead, just try and pronounce our name if you aren't local

Rumors are true, I went into the San Jose event (and got a pitiful time for the actual competition :( ). You get 10 minutes to play Metroid Samus Returns and then 10 minutes to play Super Mario Odyssey. Plus you get a sweet poster for each game with an embossed Nintendo World Championship seals!

This is my first year going to PAX, but I only got a Labor Day ticket...meaning content is very slim. I am glad I checked this thread because clicking on "Schedule" via the main PAX West page kept saying that there was no schedule yet. So now that I've seen it...I won't be attending any panels. I just want to wander around, look at cosplay and merchandise, and ponder whether I will go next year.

Honestly if you only have one day, wander and see where it takes you. The expo halls alone can easily kill a day.

I just realized the other day that Nvidia will be completely absent from Pax this year, which means no golden ticket hunt :(
