I'm rewatching this episode and this manufactured conflict between the two of them is the dumbest thing
I hope this dumb letter is immediately revealed as the cheap Hail Mary it is and Littlefinger gets needled

I loved Arya calling Sansa out on her shit.
"how could you even say that?" 'you're thinking it right now. You don't want to, but you are'
But if Littlefinger hurts Arya in the slightest I hope the shoe gets canceled and erased from history. I hope (although they won't) it shows Arya knew he was watching her the whole time
I'm seeing comments that sam needs to pay better attention to what's being said around him, but like. What was he supposed to get from that?
The information is literally meaningless until someone mentions that jon is lyanna's and rhaegar's son, not whoever ned fucked.

The sisters acting like petty Southern nobles makes me sad. You're Starks damnit.trust each otherrrrr
Yeah, the proper response was:
Of course, I'm thinking it. Because it could happen. That's life. That OUR lives, especially. Bad things happen. Jon dies and then I'm in charge. Do YOU want do it?
Not what we got. It better be staged or at least not matter in the end.

The information should be
meaningless anyway since they spent the last two seasons throwing the whole royal succession thing out the window.
Ellaria had no claim to Dorne. The Dornish lords should hate her for murdering the Martells. But she takes over Dorne.
Cersei doesn't have a claim to the Iron Throne. Everyone should hate her for blowing up the Sept, killing a popular religious leader, hundreds of the Seven's devote followers, and all her allies. But she takes the Iron Throne.
Euron was elected king of the Iron Isles at the kingsmoot and Yara is making an alliance with Dany to overthrow him against the wishes of her own people.
Jon has no claim to be Winterfell. He certainly has no claim over the Vale men. He never even needed to convince people about his death and resurrection to explain how he can abandon his Night's Watch vows. But he's King in the North.
So why would it matter who Jon's real parents are?
there was lots of dumb stuff in the latest episode
capture a wight to prove climate change rising undeath levels is a spectacularly dumb plan that feels like it belongs in a much stupider series
Also I totally don't buy
Tyrion's reluctance to execute the Tarly. Isn't execution the best he could expect given the situation and his refusal to take the black? Isn't that more or less the equivalent of a speeding ticket in Westeros? Where did we get this idea that Danerys is supposed to be a pacifist or opposed to the aristocracy in any way? it doesn't make any sense to me...
As dumb as it is- what else are they supposed to do?
The only other option is to try and crush Cersei quickly without losing any men/resources. Well, while losing as little as possible. But losing any is bad idea.
They want to avoid fighting her altogether. As slim as that chance is this is the only way to get it.
Maybe they should just blitz her and take the losses, but that be too messy they think.

Blitzing is obviously the correct choice but my problem is more that I don't believe that the characters in their worldview would be so conflicted about dragon usage.
There's NO WAY outside of some sort of lucky assassination or betrayal for Danerys to take kings landing without thousands of innocents dying. And what's more, there was no indication a season ago that any of the main characters were uncomfortable with the realities of violent conquest. Danys only claim to morality was her opposition to slavery, she's never claimed to be revolutionary in any other way.
Now all of a sudden we are supposed to believe that tyrion and co believe she represents a kinder better Westeros when before I thought her strengths were 'not crazy' and 'will sort of try to rule justly'

Go back and watch the first season. Arya and Sansa could barely stand each other, and there's a lot of groundwork laid for a deeper level of mistrust. Ned was only half-joking when he warned Arya about stabbing her sister.

There's also the whole scene with Joffrey, the lowborn kid, Arya, and Sansa.
And don't bring up the actual singer we've had this season. We don't need to start those arguments again.
If you go for the "high-charisma schemer and fast-talker" interpretation of bards, rather than the "lutes his buddies to better rolls" interpretation, I'd say Tyrion or Littlefinger.

I mean, it's not out of character and makes perfect sense.
Like I said last thread, they haven't seen each other in 7 years, when they were both very different people
. Still a bummer tho.

Tyrion probably picked up a level in Rogue somewhere along the way.

Dude knows how to use a crossbow.
He shot his dad at point blank range while he was taking a shit. Not exactly a marvel of marksmanship

I don't know much about D&D, but my memories of EQ cast Beric as a Paladin on account of his flaming sword
ive been watching the show up to date since S3 and I've never been more interested. I almost walked away from last season.
A++++
we also talk about other random shit and clown upon each other

...shit, now all I can think about is GoT characters interpreted through the lens of D&D classes.

That'll make for some interesting emotions when Cersei meets her husband's zombie bastard.
Bran's not a core class.
