I am so happy we're getting a season 3, and that season 2 is just around the corner. This is uncharacteristic of Disney.

They were renewed bwfore season 1 aired. That and the delays mean our wait is lessened( sort of)

Just finished up the first season and I swear, if they don't stop teasing with Darkwing Duck and start delivering, I am going to get dangerous.

Oh, and I guess the show is generally awesome as well. I mean,
a freaking Gummi Bears reference? Are you kidding me?

EDIT: Dangit, why is that bobblehead not a real thing? Really dropped the ball on some merch here, Disney!

They have a decent opportunity to have brief but meaningful cameos to honor several beloved series, like Rescue Rangers or Goof Troop.

    Given we got
    friggin' gummi bears

already, I'd be a little shocked if they didn't.

How can they top season 1 when season 1 was perfection?

Plenty of character hijinks in this episode. Also some really nice gags.

I love the use of the original shows uplifting and cozy sound fonts when they're back at the mansion. The music was one of my favorite things when I was a kid.

Finally saw the Mrs. Beakley not-quite-origin episode.

I really, really love how this iteration of Ducktales, in addition to how excellent it is in so many other ways, is a love letter to other Disney shows of the mid-to-late 80's and early 90's.

Does Launchpad just have a collection of exes that exist only to pull him into epic off-screen adventures at every opportunity? Because I love it.

My only hope is that the number of off-screen daring adventures that Launchpad has is a high as the number of times Glomgold gets bumped for time.

I'd imagine that being Scrooge's driver would lead one to being remarkably well traveled, even before he realizes that you can also successfully crash any vehicle a duck would care to name.

The USA doesn't have treasure troves, so it doesn't have nor need treasure trove taxes. In Europe, they have clear laws dictating what happens when you find an ancient treasure trove. You don't get to keep it for yourself in a giant bin, for one thing.

To be absolutely fair to young Duke, Scrooge pulled a titanic dick move, there.

If I'm offering to wash your car for $5, and when I finish instead of paying me the full amount you toss me two quarters and say you're trying to teach me the value of self-reliance, fuck you.

Absolutely a dick move, even if it wasn't intended as such.
I mean, I can understand it from Scrooge's point of view, half a century (or however long) ago getting a dime for a shoe shine started him on the path to being the richest duck on the planet, and he recognized a kindred soul in young Duke and thought he was giving him an inspiring story that would drive him to success in the same way.
But, seeing it from Glomgold's POV, he's a billionaire who just payed a fraction of the going rate for his services and said he was doing him a favor.

Though, I suppose, in a way, Scrooge did exactly what he intended by providing the driving impulse for Glomgold's life and rise to fortune. Also a wealth related talisman of his own in the money clip.
