Ehhhh.
You can ignore him for the first two or three episode entirely when he's alone.
When he's with Luke Cage it's better cause then he's getting clowned on or getting his privilege shoved down his face.
Different outlets will praise exactly the same things others are berating it for
It really makes it impossible to guess how I'm going to receive any of this
Episode 2 spoilers
Episode 1 spoilers:
The Iron Fist parts are still shockingly bad compared to the rest. I'm not even blaming the actors, but the lines are completely predictable, the camera work is basic at best.
The Cage and Daredevil parts are good, I like the Jessica Jones part the best (probably because I like that series the best as well).
The first Sigourney Weaver scene surprised me; didn't expect to start with our main villain (according to the trailers) in that position; relatable, vulnerable. Also interesting to see that she appearantly outranks Gao by quite a lot. Want to see how that plays out.
note: does nobody in New York know what to do in case of earthquakes? They all just keep standing there, apart from Luke who is actually doing something. Earthquake seemed a lot heavier in Luke's scene, though that could be location based.
You're playing a superhero
Maybe hit the gym
Jessica Jones
1sr half of Luke Cage
1st half of season 2 of Daredevil
Daredevil season 1
Second half of Luke Cage
Second half of season 2 of Daredevil
Iron Fist (based on everything I've heard and the synopsis I read)
It definitely doesn't help that he's shirtless in the same episode Mike Colter is shirtless
Like, there's no competition. His body is a massacre
Hey, guess this means Misty is getting that metal arm now.
Also, no body, so I guess they might still be able to bring back Gao.
Yeah, a lot of "strong man" competitors look like fat dudes (especially in the face) before you realize they're just pure fuckin muscle without toning*
*I don't actually know anything about this other than physical attraction to them
Instead of toning it's more just that they have excess body fat covering their muscles, because losing that body fat would waste time that they could be spending getting huger and stronger.
One of the best physiques in a superhero movie was Bane, because he looked like a guy who threw things the fuck around and didn't give a shit about his abs. He had a flat chest because working on sweet pecs doesn't help you beat up Batman and huge traps because having huge traps totally helps you beat up Batman.
Yeah, he's fucking gorgeous. Great voice too. He looks like he stepped off the page of a Luke Cage comic.
I gave him a little bit of a pass in the first series because he didn't have much time to prepare and his script was terrible, but if I'd seen the reviews for Iron Fist I'd have been drilling fight scenes five hours a day to make sure I rocked shit when I got another shot.
I thought traps for Batman was Riddler's thing
Joke denied on factual grounds.
I'm really enjoying it so far (6 or 7 episodes in).
I only made it a few episodes into Iron Fist before giving up. I had just finished season 1 of Into the Badlands when it came out and it was just too painful to watch after that. The contrast was...stark.
Fixed to avoid a lawsuit.

Shame, that
What are the circumstances of her being good now
I'm always angry with how little of this the Daredevil show seems to be willing to give us
I'd rather watch a TV show about Matt Murdock, Attorney-at-Law than Daredevil, Vigilante with Anger Issues
I liked it a lot!
