There's still comics and novels coming out to continue the story in Andromeda, please look forward to it~!

(I will laugh so damn hard if the next ME book is a Choose Your Own Adventure.)

I wonder if people would buy a ME original triilogy 4K remaster. Fix some of the interface jank of the original games, improve the AI pathfinding, add HDR, pack in all DLC.

I wouldn't mind going back to ME1, but there's no way I'm playing a 30+ hour game with that inventory interface.

ME:A is a dang fun experience if you focus on major questlines and ignore the small stuff.

    List of good stuff:
The Havarl Vault Questline is great
    Voeld Kett Base is good
Kadara Settlement Line is good(you gotta do a lot of shit to settle, jesus)
The Krogan Colony line on Elaaden is good.
All the companion quests are good and potentially some of the best in the series(Peebee and Jaal's fire on all cylinders)
Pretty much anything with the Roekaar is good.

Pretty much anything in the Tasks tab is busywork although some has good lines.

My ideal MEA experience is focusing on the major plotlines, clearing the story, and then rolling back and doing tasks and cleanup and such in the post endgame when you just want to chill with your friends.

i thought this was gonna be some kinda book-club style playthrough/discussion (a la Waypoint 101), or a Let's Play archive crawl.

Andromeda was pretty bad. or maybe not bad.

    Kinda forgettable.

I had to make myself finish it.

I mean I don't really even remember any of my crew member's names.

    Except PeeBee.

Vex? Old Wrex. Uhhh... Leon. And Jaarl Balgruf.

So the Reapers, every cycle, make a new Reaper out of one of the races they exterminated

Just one? Right? I seem to remember that being implied. If so they're making a loss on this cycle, At least a dozen got taken out.

I don't think there's a set number of how many Reapers get made. The basic implication was that the bigger the Reaper, the more "important" the species was in whatever nebulous fashion they judge them by.

    I would love this

Andromeda was bad but the franchise doesn't really need to die, the writing was on the wall though

I can't remember the last time I saw a triple-A game hit $20 so fast

all the Reapers and indoctrination theories answered or fixed would have been a better direction for Mass Effect 4 I think

maybe Shepard chose fusion and everyone is a cyborg now

I only played Mass Effect 1-3 about three and a half years ago and honestly I didn't mind the end of 3 that much but this was also the GotY edition. Never did play the DLCs because one cost as much as what I paid for the trilogy.

The implication is one Sovereign class for whichever race the reapers view as ascendant for that cycle, and the others go into the smaller classes.

I thought Andromeda's single player was fine, turning multiplayer into a peer-hosted shitstorm was a bad call and I'm honestly much angrier at EA and BioWare for ruining that than anything else they've done in this series.

Man I wonder how that human reaper would've have flown around in space, like Superman pose? Standing with excellent posture? Sitting as though in an invisible chair?

If I was a colossal interstellar genocide robot I'd fly through space doing the robot, I'd do the robot as I bombard a planet and I'd do the robot as I chase a protagonist and I'd do the robot as I am fatally outplayed by said protagonist

I would buy this as I have never played a single Mass Effect game and know maybe 1% of the story/content for the entire franchise.

Picking this back up after I finished off Far Cry Primal. Debating whether to start over from the beginning or try and remember what the hell was happening back when I stopped playing in May. Apparently I got 11 hours in. I'm curious to see the improvements in the early game, and I'm starting as what looks like the Vanguard instead of the Engineer. Not sure if that's worth replaying 11 hours or not.

I never ended up getting Andromeda, but to its credit the free trial got me interested enough to finally play the trilogy

I really enjoyed it, and even the ending wasn't as bad as I'd been lead to believe... except that after going out of my way to have >4k readiness I messed it up by missing that one specific renegade interrupt.
