Mike Tyson the coward would not even fight Cold Stone Steve Austin despite all his bluster and instead betrayed his friend HBK just so he could get on Cold Stone Steve Austin's good side.

I believe you may have combined the identities of a wrestler and an ice cream.

Wasn't Tyson's record like, ridiculously brutal at the start?

Something like, 20 fights, 20 KOs, 10 in round 1?

Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

There was a lot of shade thrown during his early career over him being fed a string of nobodies.

During his prime though, I woulda bet on Tyson against anyone.

Butterbean beating Johnny Knoxville in those aisles is burnt into my brain from near continuous showings in every single room of every dorm

yeah...butterbean didn't hold back at all and he probably should have, but I also wouldn't be surprised to find out that Knoxville told him not to

The only thing stopping that whole bit from being too real and a little nauseating is a seriously fucked up and obviously concussed Knoxville slurring, '...is Butter Bean okay?'

Just the circumstances and the timing made that line one of the funniest parts of the film to me.

    Wow uh

I mean I bet there are a lot of people who would pay to watch someone beat the shit out of Logan Paul

but participating in that would mean a level of self-awareness on his part that I'm not sure is possible

Finally, something related to Logan Paul that I'd actually pay for.

I mean he's onto something here if he wants to get his face smashed in for cash, I'm willing to keep paying for that.

This will be worse than the Mayweather/McGregor fight.

Mayweather will dance around for a few rounds and make it look like Paul has a chance then he’ll turn it around and actual box and it will be over.

It's a great play by Mayweather though, he is getting older and slower, and these show fights are a great way to rake in a HUGE paycheck without risking the title.

They should have a garbage-off instead. Compare each other's records to see whose more of a garbage human.

I mean Logan would still get beat, unless he also regularly beats his girlfriends in front of their children and I just haven't heard about it.

No need to pay for it, highlights videos will be all over the internet seconds after the match.

You'll be able to see Floyd skip about and pretend to box for a few rounds, then beat seven shades of shit out of Logan in about two seconds flat.

I really love novelty boxing matches between like, non-boxers and boxers, I think that you really get to see just how much some people are born marks

I think it's fair to say that neither Mayweather or Paul are marks though. They're going to make a lot of money out of this.

I don't think Mayweather currently holds any titles, he vacated everything when he 'retired'.

Mayweather probably wouldn't want to fight any actual professional boxer

Why fight an actual professional boxer when you can lamp Conor McGregor and get massive bank for it?

Incidentally Conor McGregor is a total piece of shit and I hope that one day he is in a boxing match with someone who doesn't delay it for a few rounds to make it look good and just turns him into a pancake

Welllll, the one brother who "does" know how to box has only fought other Youtubers and a basketball player so far. Sure he's been doing some training, but put him in a ring with an amateur fighter with 10 years experience and a few dozen fights under their belt and he'll get absolutely fucking pantsed.

But yeah this brother is a complete chode.

Also reading this thread; it is astounding to me that anybody who has ever watched Mike Tyson fight would want to get in a ring with him for any amount of money unless you are also like, an incredibly good professional boxer

That man liked hurting people. He enjoyed doing what he did to them.

I'd weight it on the same scale as "how much would you have to be paid to voluntarily be in a high-speed car crash"

and like... some car crashes are fine! Everyone walks away with only a few scrapes.

and others will kill you or leave you with permanent injuries that you will never recover from.

there probably is some figure where I would choose to do that, as long as the money got paid out to my family even if I did get killed in the process

but... it would have to be a very high number

Yeah I wouldn't get in a ring with Mike Tyson, he'd kill me. I'd get in a room with like, Lennox Lewis, because he'd just bop me on the head and I'd pass out and BOOM cash my check.

I think people vastly, vastly underestimate how much different a professional athlete's skill set is compared to a normal person because they only see them on TV in context with their peers. This isn't a 1:1 comparison but there was a guy I played flag football with in college (he was in a grad program) who'd gotten drafted by an NFL team and spent time in NFL Europe developing before he got hurt and quit football; he looked like a normal guy, seemed like he was doing the same stuff we were a the same speed, only he was twice as fast and effortlessly threw the ball twice as far as any of the rest of us, and that's being generous to us.

You couldn't pay me any amount of money to step into a ring with any professional fighter, of any gender or weight class.

If you watch interviews with him, he has SIGNIFICANTLY mellowed out and calmed down with age. He's even said he just doesn't have that anger in him anymore.
Obviously he's still got incredible technique, the speed of a fighter half his size, and can punch his way through plate steel, so nobody should ever agree to fight him competitively ever again, but that exhibition match was fairly decent, at least in the highlights of it I saw?

Oh yeah it wasn't, but you can see Mike's not trying to kill Roy, or even knock him out - just score points. After all some of the stipulations were no cuts and no knockouts allowed, which is a wild thing to stipulate in a fight...
