First launch back in KSP, and I've already innovated on what were previously my "best" designs.
Earliest flights had no guidance - no pitch, no yaw, no roll. So the best way to manage some control over a vehicle's flight was to spin it, not unlike the principle behind the rifling in firearms!
All my previous designs called for these weird skewed fins that just didn't look right and solved the problem, but also added unnecessary mass.
Solution?
Alter the direction of the thrust coming out of the rocket.
One-engine-two-engine-bell system, have one angled off to one side, the other to the opposite, and bam - self-imposed spin.
I just get smarter and smarter, [chat]. It's really quite frightening.

What a day.
Started with not getting to sleep till 4 AM, then waking for a bit, long enough to let work know I am in no condition to work..
Fell asleep again, then woke up to NPR talking about Abraham Lincoln and how different the Republicans used to be...
Then watched the Cloth Map on the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone, then a Nova documentary on Chernobyl and the building of the new shield thingy.
Ended with some okay Chinese, picking up some essential supplies, reading the Wikipedia article on Chernobyl (which is like 5-6 different factions trying to push their opinions)...
And now I'm finishing off doing papercraft for my X-wing collection.
