For those of you who aren't getting emails from Blizzard, if you use Hearthstone Deck Tracker regularly you can get some pretty interesting stats. I went digging around in it for the first time tonight and found this.
Apparently I have a positive winrate with every single class! That's pretty cool. Also I've played this game way too much. Almost 300h since I installed the deck tracker about a year and a half ago. Sheesh.
You can slice and dice your data to get more relevant stats about decks and matchups per season and whatnot too.
Any EZ priest players having trouble getting the nuts? Just queue up against me. Turn 5 coin 5/5 Y'Shaarj into 10/10 real Y'Shaarj. Game over turn 5 with no gameplay whatsoever. Fun.
Edit: Just queue up against me if you want to win as priest in general. I think I have like a 10% win rate against priests. They always have the nuts vs me. Always.
Here's my fun off-meta deck of the season, "Deathrattle Grinder Warrior"
Against aggro you're just looking to clear the board and taunt/armor out of range of their burn. Against control you mostly want to Dead Man's Hand on N'Zoth and either win win with the waves of minions off of N'Zoth or just fatigue them out if they have enough board clears. It's also got some tech with Dirty Rat to get the random win against Quest Mage and Skulking Geist to keep the Jades down to manageable sizes. I'm up to Rank 7 so far using it, and feels like it'll should get me to rank 5 at least.

I'm playing an inferior Shaman deck but it does involve Barnes and Ancestral Spirit. He managed to pull LK out, who then gave me Army of Dead, which then gave me 2 Earth Elementals, Ysera and Y'Shaarj.
C & D brackets are looking kind of sparse. Guessing those games will get going shortly.
@BreakfastPM@emnmnme@visiblehowl I've got time for at least one match, maybe two, tonight starting at 8:30 EST. Who's available? I'll have similar availability Thursday and Friday night too.
Thanks for the games everyone in Group A! This was a lot of fun. I'll be rooting for Sir Fab since they beat us.
I generally just play ranked with slightly modified net decks so I can make enough money for arena, so I wasn't expecting much, but I'm happy with how all the games went! Hope we do something like this again soon.
Hey "MNC Dover" just played SeGaTai, beating him in some really close games 3-2.
Both SeGaTai and I are 2-1 with 8 points in our group. Who advances?
You advance because you beat him head to head.
This sounds pretty crude to be honest. In case of a tie in the world cup group stage for example, they compare the goal difference first, then if that's equal the total number of goals.
Why not consider who lost fewer rounds in total during their matches, and then if those are the same use the winner of the head-to-head matchup?

I don't know about you, but trying to extract any sort of stat like that out of Hearthstone for the purposes of tiebreakers feels unnatural. Like, in soccer you're tracking Goal Difference and Goals Scored anyway--they're on the table to begin with. But nobody is keeping track of rounds won or lost through a hearthstone tourney, which means you're coming up with an arbitrary stat just for the purposes of tiebreakers. Head-to-Head feels cleaner to me.

Looks like the way challonge works, it's not immediately head-to-head either. In the case we have where two players are 2-1, the first comparator is who won more rounds in the match they lost. That's how both sirfab and segatai have 8 points - they each won 2/3 in the match they lost. So it actually does use per-match scores, just in a more primitive way than I'm suggesting.

Oh, that's interesting. I still probably wouldn't go to that if I was organizing a tournament by hand, but if Challonge already has that built-in that works too.
I'll take all these suggestions into account for the next tournament. Always looking to improve. Thinking about adding 4 extra players into the playoffs (top 2 instead of top 1). This one seems to be progressing well, so I foresee a follow-up tournament in the future.

I beat his jade druid with razakus priest by removing every thing he put down and him dying to playing UI as his last card into fatigue.
You tell me who the real winner is

Oh my bad, I didn't understand how points were tallied up in Challonge. Alright, all good then.

Hoping for this Saturday or Sunday assuming everyone's finished with their games. Probably around noonish, but times are not cemented in stone yet.
