It's all electronic equipment, he doesn't need to use the onboard mic to capture that, he can just run it through a laptop or something and record just the music.
I haven't watched it, but if he did to edit out any rambling asides and keep it concise I could understand.
The problem with Youtubers getting rich and famous is that most of them have no idea or can't comprehend how their words get processed by their viewers. Youtubers really should have managers or dedicated editors who can stop them or cut them off before they go off the rails. It's a good thing the Game Grumps had Barry from the get-go to prevent Jontron's racist ass from torpedoing their whole thing.

A look at Competitive Double Dutch
Only things i know about the situation are from Jimquisition and from Leonard French videos.
So far i havecome to understand 2 things.
1. PDP continues to be shit.
2. The DMCA may be a weak case legally due to lack of enforcement of lets play's otherwise.
That said, i'm not fully against the game developers/publishers going after people making money by doing let's play videos/streams.
I'm not happy about it, or want to see it happen, but i can understand it, and worry that there might be a legal case for it, and if people continue to be racist shitheels in their let's plays, it might be in publishers best interests to do so.
