I feel that wasn't warranted, but they're the most viewed videos by far on his channel for the last three months so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Shut the fuck up, Movie Bob. There's no way there's four and a half hours worth of complaining about a two and a half hour movie. Just shut it.

Yes. No one should ever have a lot to say on a subject that matters to them personally, whether it is entirely reasonable how much it matters to them or not. Everyone should just shut up and limit themselves to maybe 10 minutes of thought or discussion of any given topic, and then move on.
Personally I find the level of vitriol and like, actual anger in response to how much moviebob talks about Batman vs Superman to be a bit ridiculous. It was annoying when he posted the first video and everyone was like "We get it, it's a bad movie, JEEZ, stop talking about it already GOD"
This one's where the "meat", so to speak, is - he goes after the point that Zack Snyder wasn't the right director, because of his personal worldview. Which (for me at least) is the genesis of all of the other flaws.
It's also worth pointing out that he notes that Snyder is the wrong director, not a bad director, which is a key difference to make.
Hmm yes that's exactly what I said, you sure got me good. Good job, well played.

Nailed it.
The fact that you called a lengthy piece of critique "complaining" and focused your dismissal purely on its length shows that your argument is shallow. Yes, a critique of a work can easily eclipse the length of the work itself - that's how critique works. And no, critique is not "complaining" - he's not saying "this is bad!", he's giving a (very) through breakdown of why this film doesn't work. And again, the third part is the most interesting because whereas the first two were mainly about the technical failures, this one's more about the failing of worldview.
Now, if you want to say that his critique is wrong, either in part or in full, that's an argument worth having. But a blithe dismissal of a work of critique as "complaining" based on its length is the argument of a silly goose, and gets treated as such.
At the point that you're breaking the 4 hour mark, you need to learn some damn self-editing skills.
I want to know what a critical retrospective of Superman v. Batman sounds like once we hit hour 18.

Yeah, I am perfectly willing to believe that MovieBob's critique is valid and nuanced and well thought out, and also perfectly willing to say that there's no way I'm going to seriously listen to 4+ hours of it and that I doubt it needs to be nearly that long to be effective.
On the other hand, the way I consume Youtube a lot nowadays is almost as a radio show on a second monitor while gaming, so it's entirely possible that editing his videos down is actually financially harmful as being able to expound without going completely into repetitive territory lets him capitalize on long-duration viewers like myself.
Good fucking lord.
20 seconds of that
what a douchelord

Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
This is the original writer of the segment, he loves that it's a meme
He made a tweet in Japanese that was more succinctly "if you see a guy like this, absolutely beat his ass"

Holy Shit... this fcking douchelord. As an American living in Japan, it's beyond embarrassing to watch this kind of behavior. I don't know if I could have stopped myself from punching him in the face if I had seen him doing this in person.
Because people like me and other non shitty human beings go there on things like the JET program for years in order to provide positive examples of people from other countries.
His jackassery is especially frustrating in light of the two years that I spent there.
I made this using the PUBG replay feature. It's from a game of duos where myself (dude in black shirt) and my friend (ghili suit) win after some extremely lucky circumstances saving me from death multiple times. Figured I'd post it here too since I like, actually put effort into producing a video.
