Im playing Total War: Warhammer II now. It definitely has "just one more turn..." syndrome, so I love it.
Currently getting my ass Kicked as Dark Elves, because I have little experience with Total War series and I hate loses, so I restarted my campaign three times now, but at least each time Im getting better at it.
I just started a Dark Elf campaign too! I'm a Total War veteran, but even I noticed some increased difficulty as they have nerfed auto resolve to where you always lose a few units if it's close odds, and it seems to be random so you could easily lose your best units. My best tip would be to fight all battles unless the odds for auto resolve are 80% or better. Once you learn how to win the RTS battles and how the different units interact (try out custom battles vs AI) it becomes MUCH easier

Can you play as Mugman in Cuphead's single player?
Just cosmetic differences I know but his design looks so much better.
I still find it amusing that the Overlord DLC made better use of the Hammerhead than the DLC introducing the Hammerhead.
That said, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for the Mako. Best use of bouncy vehicle physics since juggling the Halo buggy with sticky grenades.

Ahem, I mean, it's time again for another monthly themed challenge for the Backlog Warriors Group!
It's October! The month of frights and scares; any and all horror-style games are what we're aiming for, from Alien Isolation to Five Nights at Freddys, Alan Wake to Betrayer, Amnesia to Call of Cthulhu. It even includes games like DOOM or Prototype, where you're the monster! If it's tagged with horror, it's fair game!
But this is also the month for other classic Halloween elements: classic monsters, costumes, fall-themed decorations, and sweets! So of course it also means games like Costume Quest, Castlevania, and ever Ghostbusters! Anything with something vaguely Halloween themed is generally up for grabs, though the more Halloween-y the better.
Also, any screenshots of one of the following from said games gets an extra point for that game: a flying bat or set of bats, pumpkins or jack o' lanterns, a creepy shadow on the wall, a black cat, a cauldron, or a candy or set of candies. So an ending screenshot and a picture of, say, a bowl full of candy.
So get out there and remember . . .

"You continue to be a detriment to yourself and those around you." Accurate but still doesn't explain this:
I don't know what the shit is going on here but you class monsters are making me feel bad
But seriously, thanks @emutheelf for Epistory. I think I've had this wishlisted since before it was released because it looks really neat. And here's a fun fact (or rather, a fact): I used to be an office assistant back in the day and I taught myself to touch-type when they didn't have anything for me to do using a demo for the original Typing of the Dead. I've had a soft spot for typing games ever since.

Anyone know how to fix a problem with Hollow Knight? My controller, Logitech, won't open the inventory with the 'select' button. Even though it's otherwise supposed to.

If you haven't played it, Bully has an entire mission that takes place on Halloween. Plus, the game itself isn't that long. So there's some free points for you.
Vaporum is a grid-based dungeon crawler RPG in an original steampunk setting, inspired by old-school classics of the genre. Stranded in the middle of an ocean, in front of a gigantic tower, the hero has to find out what the place is, what happened there, and most importantly, who he is.
It makes me think Grimrock meets Bioshock. Though people who know more might think that this shows that I haven't played Bioshock.
Holy shit, the Mako is awesome. This is probably the best vehicle section I've played in a non-dedicated-driving game. The mounted guns even feel good to use! Mounted guns never feel good!

3 floors in and its pretty great, you only play as 1 person and not a party of 4 but the 1 you do play is voiced and chirps up every now and then to comment on things in an internal monologue kinda way.

For anybody thinking to pick up Arkham Knight on the current sale thinking that the bugginess has been fixed, think again. Just bought it, couldn't even load the damn thing without a config workaround. Finally got it loaded, made a change to graphical settings, and the game wouldn't load after that. Couldn't even reach a gameplay section to check it out.
So it's still a broken piece of garbage, save the eight bucks.

Arkham Knight is a textbook example of wasted potential even when it does work. Such a great environment, fun movement, tons of cool gadgets, an excellent IP... but the combat is still repetitive, the missions are lame, and the bossfights are still trash.
It also somehow makes me hate the Batmobile, a feat I never thought possible.
If you can get it to work (and have a rig beefy enough to max it out) I'd say it's worth eight bucks for the parts that are good (and there are some pretty good parts), but don't force yourself to finish it if you aren't having fun. That's the mistake I made.

I hope Bioware gets their head out of their asses and releases some sort of complete edition with all DLC. I'd love to play these again on PC (I played them through on the 360, since I didn't have a modern gaming PC at the time), but I sure as hell am not playing their DLC game.
Since ME1 was a Microsoft published game and ME2/3 are from Electronic Arts, BioWare may not be fully able to accomplish that. Considering the DLC rarely ever goes on sale, it's going to be a long, long wait for you one way or the other.

ME1 only has two pieces of DLC; and only one of those is a) available (IIRC) and b) worth bothering about anyway (and as a bonus, is free). And ME1 on PC was actually published by EA, since it came out six months after the Xbox 360 original.
ME2 & 3's DLC obviously all falls under the EA banner.
But yeah, the big problems are the cost of the DLC since they almost never go on sale, the continued and insane reliance on Bioware funbucks, and in ME2's case the sheer hassle of downloading, installing and authorising all the stuff (ME3's is much easier in that regard as Origin does all the heavy lifting). The amount of hoops you have to jump through is ridiculous.
Totally worth it. Eventually. But ridiculous all the same.
Also EA doesn't care about re-releasing old games in remastered or GOTY or whatever sorts of editions. If they did there'd be some hope. But as far as they're concerned, those games came out, and they've moved on.
But if any game series of recent years was crying out for some sort of consolidated, complete edition... it's that one. Especially with the first game's tenth anniversary next month!
Though as I recall, ME1 only had two pieces of DLC, Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station. I think both come with the edition on Origin if you're willing to use it.
I have not bought a single ME2 dlc. It's a pity they make it so hard to buy, and that it never goes on sale. I really loved both ME1 and ME2. I have yet to play 3 as well.

The only way I've been able to get the Mass Effect 2 and 3 DLC on sale was via Amazon when they sold the online codes which were just for Bioware Bucks or whatever. At some point they had them for half off.
Now? I don't think they even sell those anymore. I can't find them on Amazon's site, at least.
