Why bother having recovery if one class can heal in like, 3 seconds? Especially in the Mida meta where every fight is at sniper range, and people dance back and forth forever waiting for someone to miss a shot.

Don't worry, if you push them out of the rift, they can still eat their grenade for an instant full heal.
If Rift ever came back as a gametype, what improvements would you guys like to see made to it?
The biggest improvement that they could make for me would be to never attach anything of any value to it so I wouldn't feel like I had to play it.

It not being in the game is an improvement to the gametype.
But really, I think having the spark move locations on respawn would be good. All near the center, but maybe an inside/outside/mid configuration. I'd also like to see the spark giving the holder much higher armor or an overshield, but also slowing them so their team needs to cover them as they move.
Also if you pick up the spark multiple times in a row while I'm RIGHT THERE WAITING TO GRAB IT and then fail to dunk every time, the game should auto uninstall itself from your hard drive and you should get a letter in the mail that just reads "y u do dis?"

Maybe if you were contributing instead of waiting around they wouldn't need to grab it, eh wot.
I was already mad enough at how the RNG seems determined to not let me be complete my crucible set. No, I don't need a third pair of crucible boots, I need the helmet and arms!...
...but the same thing happening for new Monarchy rep is the salt in the wound.

Just capped out Dead Orbit and never got the bond, the faction rally is bullshit garbage.

Hard to believe that is over 20 years of console gaming, today was the first time I ever jumped on a mic and into a fire team. It was super fun, a whole new world really, so thanks Fawst andskyknyt .
Pumped to hit up the Raid next!
You just blew my mind.
I can't even FATHOM trying to play a game with multiplayer modes without trying to join friends/chat while doing it. The mind boggles.
Good to hear you're enjoying yourself more since doing so. I understand that being on mic is not for everyone but it's just so much better it seems (to me) to have people to talk to, play with, coordinate together with, and joke around with in...basically everything that isn't a solitary activity.
Don't get me wrong, I raided WoW, I'm not a hermit (and as my fire team will confirm I'm definitely not shy!). But Destiny is a completely different beast.
It just surprised me how much the gaming experience is inherently improved by teaming up. In WoW I used comms because I had to, but with Destiny I wanna mic up and go farm some Public Events or whatever with some bros / sisters, because that sounds like a fun way to spend an hour.
I finally got a Mask of the Quiet One last night and it looks pretty good with the New Monarchy shader you guys.
Rift idea, raid spoilers though:
They never would but I would love to see some of the Guantlet mechanics incorporated into Rift. When the spark spawns the guy who grabs it should get teleported into a separate hallway and the other three guys have to stand briefly stand on plates on plates in order to open gates to let him through to where the Rift is. The spark team would get a light overshield while they're standing on the plates to offset the 3 on 4. The spot with the Rift would open for both teams once the runner's through the last gate and it'd be a little bit of a sprint to get there. I don't care that it's too mechanics heavy for regular multiplayer, it'd be fun!

what if it’s intentionally unlikely for you to get a complete set of rewards from the first week of what is meant to be a recurring event whose only purpose is attaining a complete set of rewards

It really is. WoW had that thing where you'd be on comms, but you were really there to listen and unless you were some kind of raid leader, you didn't talk much. But if you were, you had to talk a LOT. About boring stuff.
This isn't that, and parts of this game are so automatic that you'll complete whatever task you're doing without really noticing because you were actually having fun playing video games.
It's revolutionary!

Just....please stop giving me boots and shotguns
I'd like the rest of the armor set....
Timed RNG gear is a good idea yes
I feel like they meant to implement a "smart loot" system where if you've already attained an item, you would have a lower % chance of getting it again, but then accidentally flipped the values so you keep getting the same stuff
Like a lot of people seem to be reporting getting a lot of multiple duplicates

People who feel screwed by RNG are more likely to comment on it. That's not to say that it's perfect, but I don't think there's anything nefarious going on. I've gotten every armour piece and weapon possible from my faction. That included a lot of duplicates, but nothing that seemed unlikely or excessive.
I can see how it would be really annoying to not complete a set due to non faction items dropping form faction engrams, though.
Heads up on PS4 side that the hinges on my headset finally gave way last night. I've done a bodge job to keep it together, but I doubt it's going to be reliable enough to do any meaningful activity. Just so you're aware if I don't accept any party invites today.
Got the replacement arriving tomorrow though.
@Hermano was it you that wanted help with the Sturm quest? I'm going to get my Hunter to the same stage so we can run tomorrow (once my headset arrives) if you still need it.

champaign is still good three weeks later if anyone was curious!
Awesome, grats man. Who did you guys end up grabbing as your fourth?
Unfortunately just had to grab a random LFG. He was chill and decent but nothing great, held his own though.
I posted here and the bungie clan forum but didn't get any takers
So still need that clan engram
Got occupied last night right before I saw the post. Would live to go any of the remaining nights this week if you're doing another run (goes for anyone else too)

Almost all of the bonds look like garbage, just give me this one thing game
EDIT: I have gotten this fucking trials sidearm three weeks in a row
Seen the Ego Talon bond? I dig that; always liked the ones with the floaty holo things on.
Guess I'd better play a Trials match one of these weeks, then.
