champaign is still good three weeks later if anyone was curious!
Awesome, grats man. Who did you guys end up grabbing as your fourth?
Unfortunately just had to grab a random LFG. He was chill and decent but nothing great, held his own though.
I posted here and the bungie clan forum but didn't get any takers
So still need that clan engram
My brain was fried last night. I don't think I could have handled trials unfortunately. Luckily the fireteam of grenade spam and public events was right up my alley.
Hm, got a full set of hunter New Monarchy armor less the cloak, maybe tonight. Picked up the FWC hand cannon, which was really the one thing that I wanted to come away from all of this with. NM scout is alright, and managed to get the DO Warlock bond and FWC Titan towel. The FWC Titan armor isn't that compelling and neither is the Warlock DO stuff.
Hot damn! Both platforms hitting Flawless back to back?
Good work Guardians! You represent PA to some crazy ass Space monsters/Ghosts/Wyrms/Whatever that is the Nine!
Hoping to get some cards in myself tonight so hopefully eventually I shall see horsies as well. But glad to hear on both sides we've broken the curse and can now proceed with more Flawless runs.
Also, if you're under 305 LL, I would suggest not grabbing your Trials Engram until Monday afternoon.
They deploy patches on Monday -- so you could conceivably acquire Trials equipment at your own LL and higher. Grabbing them now will only get you LL 10.

Anyone know if someone has made a list of event specific scannables? I know they're out there, I found one in a lost sector on Titan yesterday, gave 5 faction tokens on scan.

Just curious if others have been found/compiled.
Found one in the Lost Sector right by Failsafe. It was a console that was tucked away in a trailer not far from where the boss and chest is. It disappeared on successive farm runs on the same Lost Sector.
Sev: Your gameplay is the most heavily yomi based around. Usually you look for characters that allow you to force guessing situations for big dmg. Even if the guess is mathematically nowhere near in your favor lol. You're happiest when you have either a 50/50, 33/33/33 or even a 75/25 situation to go crazy with. And you will take big risks to force those situations to come up.

Hmmm...same blue crystal stuff as the one on titan, different object though. Curious if there's a point to them, or if they're just a bonus. Or where they are on other planets.
Wish that lost sector chest wasn't empty though! That's happening more and more frequently to me. Chest timer horseshit is beyond stupid.
Since he's not around yet, anyone for the Xbone raid right now? We need a 6th.
Oh my god, I'm so sorry.
I slept mad late today because I woke up early yesterday and got too busy doing stuff around the house and on the internet, I totally lost track of time. I'm sorry
Did you guys get a replacement?
Only 5 NM engrams left to get on my hunter. I can already feel I am not going to see the boots and am getting preemptively frustrated by it.
I'm curious if anyone has managed to actually complete a set (outside of, apparently, FWC not having an engram cap?). Confirmation bias and all that, but it seems like everyone is "all but one item", to the point it almost seems intentional.
I know the faction rallies are intended to be regular (monthly?), but I'm not sure that makes having a cap and/or the idiot amount of non-faction stuff you can get ok. Yeah, I can just do it again next time, but it feels shitty to have to rechoose the same faction, for one item, on each character, that they might get next time, might not; instead of being able to choose a different faction. I don't want to still be chasing a single item from a faction, once a month, a year from now. There's a high likelihood, assuming they change up gear in major content patches and DLC like in D1, that you simply won't be able to get the gear at all, as they could just be removed, never again to be seen.
It is another example of the D2 development seeming to occur in a bubble totally unaware of how D1 changed over its life. Why not have a monthly selection of items that you can directly buy, and have engrams continue to work as normal? It is the way they ended up in D1 and it was way better. Even IB ended up letting you choose that weeks items, at a low light, in case you never saw them from a drop, yet still had drops too. Why are so many things in D1 designed like nothing after the base game of D1 occurred?

I completed a NM set on my Hunter in roughly 20 engrams I think.

I completed my FWC in like... 39. But my Titan got NM done in 28! Of course I think I got exactly 2 unique NM guns, including the auto-rifle about 17 times.

I'm only missing literally the only single item I wanted from the event at all, so that's cool.
I don't give a shit about any of the reskin armor for any of the factions, I just wanted class items.
Eh, pretty much everything I get is an upgrade at the moment, so gimme as much loot as possible, lol. Actually got a new helmet and arms from yesterday's faction stuff. And having to keep my weapon slots free keeps me in good with the gunsmith.

Much better than the 37 for my FWC set.
I got my DO set completed on the very last turn in. Now it's white and purple. Got a ton of dupes along the way though
A group of friends and I have got a raid scheduled for tonight, but due to being a small group in multiple distant timezones we're down one. Is anyone on PS4 free for a semi-blind raid (done standards and dogs) at Sunday 1pm UTC? I've put it up on the100 if you want someone else to calculate the timezones for you.
Tri-Optimum reminds you that there are only one-hundred-sixty-three shopping days until Christmas. Just 1 extra work cycle twice a week will give you the spending money you need to make this holiday a very special one.
Good to see you guys dominating in Crucible again!
So are ya'll just getting a better handle on the new game or did you come across less sweaty teams or both?
Not so much a better handle on the mode as better discipline. Pair up, stick together, teamshoot, stay alive, watch angles, stick to cover., be cautious instead of hasty, etc. We stuck to those fundamental D2 Crucible tactics along with a basic strategy and it was enough to win the day.
The teams are definitely less sweaty on a Saturday afternoon than a Friday evening, though that's how Trials has always been. I certainly didn't run into anyone from my YouTube subscriptions this time. We had one particularly close match (the last one, of course), but otherwise we had a dominating performance. We beat a fair few seven-win emblem and flawless emblem players along the way.
There's only four actual clips, since D2 Crucible gameplay doesn't lend itself to "flashy" play too often. The final round was exceedingly stressful as Booker whiffed his super and Tokisaki went down moments later. I managed a clutch stormtrance (<3 landfall) while Chris kept it together so we could clean up the round.
I think this map played a bit better to skill and less lucky picks off team shoots. I know personally last night we took down multiple flawless teams on our card.
So it wasn't an easier run. We smashed a team packed with 3 counts in thier ponies, 6-1.
This map is also easier to not be as punished for choosing wrong on defense. You can split into 2s and there's enough cover and room to fall back to avoid being rushed and collapsed on.

Yeah, if only we had an extra 6 hours or so to give Trials a proper go.

Raid in under 30 minutes, @cB557 and I are already grouped.

Yeah I mostly joking, it took us a fair few games to get used to the map, which dragged things out.

great job today, saturday morning cartoons and friends who helped finish it up!
Also it took me 32 rep levels with FWC to get a full set. I had everything but the hat for a large majority of that time.
I completed a NM set on my Hunter in roughly 20 engrams I think.
Much better than the 37 for my FWC set.
I am so jealous, stupid family stuff pulling me away before I could take part in completing it. You're gonna carry me next weekend, right?
