I started with Horde back in Vanilla because of the noble savage aspect. Cata, MoP, and WoD were massive WTF moments for me with their storylines, and I know that there are more than a few players who are in a similar boat (There was a massive outcry from the Horde side during each of those events).
As for Sylvanas, it's not like she wouldn't have reason to be mad at the Alliance given the attempt to assassinate her with the Alliance flagship.

For the years before I quit, and again since I've resubbed, I've played the game largely to relax and enjoy the games aesthetic - it's still by far my favourite 'van-tasy'* world. My characters are dwarfs, and I set them up as a small sort of craftsmen guild I guess? I don't RP as such, but I suppose I put a lot of time into transmog and gaining titles which work towards this reverie.
I've never been that up to date with the storyline for two reasons; 1 - since I've never been at the forefront of questing/progression, it's just kind of the backdrop to my own little world. 2 - I feel, as others have mentioned in this thread, that the leap to outer space (BC) was too soon, and the subsequent power leaps between enemies are just silly. I therefore stopped worrying about a coherent storyline.
I'd love to see more character customisation options, and maybe a more complex and involving professions system, but generally I don't really care what comes next.
With regards to PVP being fun or not, I always quite enjoyed the big pitched battles - early world PVP, AV, Wintergrasp, Tol Barad etc. It's hard to get pissy about class balance when you're in the middle of huge melee. I feel this should have been the direction of PVP, and by trying to balance both sides (little and large scale) have made a never ending rod for their own backs.

As a Horde, Sylvanas, please, can I just fucking enjoy my well-earned respite from fighting the goddamn Legion and the RNG gods? This tier of raiding has been fucking brutal on my sanity.

Last night my roomie and I, who both skipped out on Legion, decided to have a look at the tier armor designs that came out for the expansion. I've gotta say, Priests and Druids came out way ahead of every other class in this department.
Edit - Especially the druid tier 19, holy shit those feathers.

Seen tons of the bull stuff, this one is likely legit. Especially this close to it happening.
Also seems to fit the theme people are seeing entering the building now.

Oh Actually, based on tree stage design and those two names speculation is that it could be a remake or rerelease of wc and that would be one of the names. That makes a lot of sense.

This'll be amazing on all those realms with 10 to 1 faction balance.
aside from that it's all just kinda whatever, didn't really announce much except new continents and new dungeons/raids which was pretty obvious.
