One of my friends is particularly good about coming up with questions like so:
Which guardian carried the gun called Rose?
Which primary had the shortest possible TTK in Year 1 Destiny?
How many Iron Lords were there?
These are all fun because they are

So the first is a trick question because people would go for Dredgen Yor, but Yor was no longer a guardian and wielded the Thorn, and the actual answer would be Rezyl Azzir. The third one I'm less sure about, but I think it's a trick question because people would go for the ten we know the names of, but it was actually a pretty big organization and had a bunch more we never got the names of? But the second one, I'm not actually familiar with year 1 PvP stuff. What's the fake answer and the real answer for that one?

Hawkmoon when it triggered all lucky rounds on a single shot it would one bang, but the one people reach for is TLW.

Most listings of the Iron Lords exclude Saladman, which means 9

11 if you take into account that as The Young Wolf you are an Iron lord yourself
We determined that any of those answers were acceptable if you could name them to justify your answer
Decided to try 10 Mobility Arcstrider in PvP and just rush people down in Quickplay, trying to play like Bladedancer back in the day. I gotta say the most notable difference is melee range. So many times I tried to stab someone with a charged melee, just to die slowly to gunfire. I stuck it out for a while to get the Crucible rep stack, last game got an exotic. Finally got Stompees! And then for my Clan Rep engram, got them again but 10 LL higher! So... neat I guess!
Noticed that the metal bits on the raiden flux change when you use a glossy shader, decided my high Mobility kits will use those shaders
2nd question is a bad question in a lot of ways. A conditional TTK in only one version of the game on a certain patch is a bad answer. Third question is also wrong, there were over 100 Iron Lords during the SIVA Crisis.
I finished off the two "exclusive quests" in Destiny 1. Christ, calling those content and hacking them off shows how little Bungie gives a fuck. In one quest, you do 8 tier 1 Court of Oryx fights (or less if you go higher tier). It then ends instantly and you get a Sparrow. In the second, you kill a large number of Fallen in the Plaguelands. Then you run at least 5 Archon's Forge offerings (making sure to be "worthy" each time). This gives you a ship. The end. So they're committed to hacking off sections of the game for years at a time, but nothing said that content had to be any good whatsoever, so they take that idea and run with it. The biggest loss are the Crucible maps because it's not like the game is overflowing with them to begin with. Does D1 still have Nightfalls or did they turn them off like IB and Trials out of spite? I'm curious if Echo Chamber could ever be one.
And that Tractor Cannon video was incredible. A million times better than the shit Bungie called video of the week this time.
Jay, if you get a chance look at Hakke History Polish on the Raiden Flux. It's really nice.
Also, I got another exotic, and it was yet another Feedback Fence. I think that's around number 4? I wish I was counting. At least 4 Dunemarchers as well. Waiting on a Mask of the Quiet One, Insurmountable Skullfort, and Synthoceps
This conversation made me think about Achlyophage specifically (for those who may be unfamiliar, it was a helm that granted a 4th Golden Gun shot). In Y1 it was arguably the best Gunslinger exotic - Spines of Ahamkara were okay for PvP and made tripmines decent, but most people just used them like sticky grenades back then. At some point (Y2?), Bungie nerfed Achlyophage - it still granted the 4th GG shot, but it also reduced the amount of time you had while in super. This was an unpopular nerf, and many people stopped using the exotic altogether at this point. I believe this nerf was released in a patch around when Celestial Nighthawk was released, so PvE Gunslingers already had a superior alternative, but the reduced time in super really killed the exotic for PvP. In a weird twist, Bungie doubled down on the dumb for D2 and tainted an entire subclass branch (Way of the Outlaw) with that horrible 6-shot GG perk that gives you even less time in super to fire twice as many shots. It's so bad that many players refuse to unlock that node!

If they wanted to bring Symbiote back they could make it attractive for the outlaw spec by bringing back the combustion trait if it's worn and maybe extend or refresh the timer on golden gun with rapid kills.
Bungie's declaration that the real endgame is friendship made my night. I'm just in awe of this TWAB. It's so incredibly patronizing that when I first saw it mentioned I thought someone was just making a joke.
I hate tha bungie is hiding what "seasons" are from us until the 20th. Because it is setting my expectations way too high.
If the reveal doesn't include an OW style ranking for conpetetive play list they will dissapoint. Considering they've hinted at a way to show your pvp prrowless (assuming they don't just mean the emblems with kda)
But to delay telling us about seasons and build hype around it means it better mean a ton more than just clan level and vendor ranks being reset
I can hit 6/4/6 thanks to mods stacking now too, but unfortunately that's without any exotic equipped.
May wind up being worth it anyway, unless there is a pressing exotic need. I run armor for stats and mods since most fights I don't see the exotic benefit yet anyway.

Foetracer is rad but I really just like the convenience of Knucklehead radar. Having your radar not go "fuck you" for five seconds every time you ads is really just that strong and lets me get the fuck away from MIDA

Bungie's declaration that the real endgame is friendship made my night. I'm just in awe of this TWAB. It's so incredibly patronizing that when I first saw it mentioned I thought someone was just making a joke.
But are they wrong?
Like, all the long term destiny tragics say that the thing they love about destiny is mucking around with their friendos and this persists even after they get the gear they were chasing.
I find i get 3-5 easy free kills a match thanks to foetracer
Knowing exactly when and where they are popping out of cover is amazing.
Even better if they are pulling some jumpy move out of cover where normally they'd be way above your aim, and you just blast them the instant they are in view
Ok. Who needs to get fired so not every Warlock armor set is a dress? Iron banner wants my warlock to wear an iron dress.
It’s supposed to be cool arm bands. Not tiny arm bands and giant flowing dresses.
I don't know if it's just me, but raids are where weird things happen with the Warlock chest pieces; Kersev's kit always wigs out at some point running along corridors and stretches 100 of yards into the distance.
And last night, when I went to the third person on my lock with the dance emote, my Warlock seemed to have lost her cloak / coat entirely (she still had her top, trousers, boots, gloves, etc...).
Anyway, I'm quite happy with how my Warlock looks; I'll see if I can take a picture and post it (I'm a little frazzled atm, my 8 month old and 4 year old are both ill, which is not leading to great nights' sleep; I had about 4 hours Wedneday night, and 5 hours last night).
Xur is selling Vigilance Wing, Foetracer, Skullfort and Nezarec's Sin this week. He's in the EDZ.

Boo, it's not going to get me to 305 (helm is the only non-300/305 slot on my Titan).
Edit: I'm super disappointed that no new weapons were mentioned* for IB. I'm also super disappointed that Prestige Raid doesn't offer a "boon." For a PR person, DeeJ, you're really setting expectations low. Maybe you get a really sweet Aura? Maybe it's permanent? Guessing Prestige shader will be purple with white and gold accents.
* Doesn't mean there won't be new weapons; I just am not expecting it.

The Prestige Nightfall is not a boon to character progression either. The aura will likely be the same as Trials or Prestige NF, just a different color and no, it won't be permanent. It's not permanent for either activities so it'd be weird that the Prestige raid bucks the trend. New armor sets were datamined, so there's different loot in there to have different looking armor.
Basically they don't want people thinking they will come out of the Prestige raid at 330 power level or something.
Uh oh: git a feeling team shooting with vig wing is gunna be meta. Get two dudes with vig wing together with ark buddy or a dude with an AR and watch them Insta melt everyone
I'm honestly shocked it's not the meta already. 90 damage on 5 burst to the head is insane. While it's not super easy to land that, it's still a butt load of alpha damage with some body shots

Destiny is more fun than working out. I can say that for sure. Also you can get way more out of shape than I thought in one month.
Also I boosted my turn speed to 7 and I'm pretty great at destiny now. I can only imagine how good 8 would be. Or even 9.
