Ever get the feeling that no-one at school likes you in the slightest, yeah...
But that's everyday and quite frankly has nothing on Colon Cancer, but i know how it is to have a sick pop.
Mine needed a quadriple bypass after a heart attack. Then the doctors broke his butt bone after he jumped when they shocked him. Right onto the hospital floor.

I'm sorry to hear this man.

My grandmother died of ass cancer over christmas (the day before, actually). I know how hard it can be.

I hope everything goes well. If they catch colon cancer early enough there's a chance they can make it through relatively well off.

    Good call, Longbaugh.

I wasn't sure where to go for dinner. I think I'll go downstairs and have a beer at the hotel bar in honor of awesome grandpas.

    Then I'll have dinner.

Colon cancer isn't a 100% death-sentence if it's caught early enough and the person has a good doctor.

    I have a great-grandmother who's (I think) 93.

I am one of her 17 great grandchildren and she actually has 4 great-great-grandchildren, with the most recent only a few months old.

She's had 5 husbands over the years, some divorced, some widowed, and has outlived every one of them.

She's lost two of her four children in the past few years, one of whom was my grandmother.

She's not exactly active anymore, but she is always in high spirits, and is quite possibly the most kind-hearted person on the face of the planet.

She's one of the few religious people I truly admire because she's always been one to see Jesus' message of love and kindness as more important than any other aspect of her faith.

Her soft voice and warm smile are a much needed source of comfort and stabily for my family as we claw our way through this insane world, and I couldn't be more thankful for have her around.

Yeah. The dude was raised in rural arkansas, joined the army at 17, fought in WWII, came home and was a high mountain logger, and raised 5 kids. He was awesome.

Oh, definitely. both of my grandparents died of it. I'm just sayin', don't speak as if he's dead yet when he isn't. And this may not do him in.

This kind of hits close to home

I may not have experienced lost grandparents, but my dad's side of the family has a history of colon cancer

He's had a colonoscopy every year since he turned 40 and has had 4 polyps removed that all turned out to be benign

I'm still fearful that one year something's going to show up, or that 20 years from now I'll have the same problem
