Malachi's cool face is the best, so effortless and natural.

Linus is reading a book with a sexy dude face on the cover

Imma try not to assume anything except I've already headcanoned and I can't stop.

Also thank god Linus is back I am not a Neiman fan.

I always thought the question bizarre.

    "Did you cut your hair?"

"No. Absolutely not. What could make you think that?"

Like many a person before him, Linus looks to the Good Book for answers as he struggles with the difficulties before him.
Rick Springfield, hallowed be thy name, lead us not into temptation for Jessie’s girl.

No, I paid someone else to do it.

Meanwhile Nieman has gathered all his Malachi clippings and is fashioning them into a voodoo doll and chanting MAL LA CHI MAL LA CHI, his eyes turning red. A sparrow lands on a window sill and peers inside. Nieman makes eye contact and the bird walls to the ground fluttering spastically. "I will play with you next" Nieman says in his head as he wipes the sweat from his brow returning to the task at hand.

Did you cut your hair? Next time get a pro to do it for you.

In my case, I ask the question because I have a hard time knowing if I remember a person's face correctly. I'm legitimately wondering if I'm right. If it's as clear as day though I just say "I noticed you cut your hair". Very dry, I know.

I usually ask to be polite, but also because I want to compliment their hair. It's easier to segue in to the compliment if they've cut it. If not, you get to awkwardly say "oh, well, it looks really great today!"
I can never get mine to do what I want, so when I see a friend or acquaintance with awesome hair, I want them to know.

And thus Malachi's long hair came to an end. Do you think he'll let it grow long again, now that Linus complimented his short hair? BTW, he did a pretty good job this time, considering he didn't have a mirror at hand. Much better than last time.

I know it's just Mal being Mal, but him acting like that after being complimented by Linus just feeds in to all of my headcanons.
