The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds is a 3rd and 1st Person Shooter Battle Royal game published by Bluehole Inc. and made by Brendan Greene, a modder on Arma 2, who built his own game after the success (but never ending beta) of DayZ and H1Z1. In this game, players skydive on to a large island, filled with towns, ruins, and military bases, all filled with randomly spawned weapons. The players gather gear and start killing each other until they are the last man standing. The game makes sure that players are pushed together by placing a circle on the field in random locations and periodically decreasing in size. Those outside the Blue Wall suffer damage until dead or inside the wall. Each match takes about 30 minutes from start to finish and is really intense. You can find it Here on Steam. The game has three game modes currently; Solo, Duos, and 4 Man Teams, now in 3rd and 1st Person mods. The game is also available on the Xbone, but it's pretty bug, at the moment.
You might wanna update a few things in the OP. The xbox version isn't out yet, and FPP is already implemented. The 1.0 pc release and early access xbox stuff is supposed to be the end of the year now.
I did not realize that some people actually wanted the twitch prime clothes. I think that they're ugly as sin (the boots are acceptable) and sold the rest for a total of about $17 last night on the market. Then I bought $2 of clothing. I particularly like the beige padded jacket. It reminds me of the Panzer Grenadiers from Company of Heroes.
I know people complain about adding content instead of fixing things, but they aren't mutually exclusive and I honestly wouldn't mind if they'd just throw in a new texture on existing clothing items like once a month or something. Not locked behind paid crate junk, but how hard can it be to add a new t-shirt or jacket pattern once in a while.
Also, can we get a pair of normal pants, that aren't skinny jeans or overly baggy?
I guess at least they're touching the circles at all. I'd like to see it become impossible for the circle to pop the far side more than twice in a row if they're going to increase the damage though.
The damage change honestly seems like a thing mostly aimed at the tournaments/pro guys. I don't regularly run into people who play the blue late game. I can't remember the last time some one came out of the blue in a mid/late circle on my group. Which is what the article quotes as being the reason for the change:
"From this new update, you will be able to focus more on the immediate, close-ranged skirmishes inside the play zone, instead of dealing with enemies outside of the play zone during the mid to late phases of the game."
It's also a bit contradictory since it's going to give you less time to have those fights if the blue closes on you.
Maybe it's more of a problem in solos where you don't have to share meds between 4 people, I don't know.
500+ hours played. Still not seen a single one. No doubt they are out there. Its a popular game so sadly cheaters gonna cheat. I'm more bothered by the fact that unless you mute chat you always get one dude playing a speach from Hitler or players screaming the N word... Wish I could report them. I can ofc mute all but sometimes its fun to chat a bit with randoms before games or taunt someone you are shooting at.
Still haven't seen one myself (well, aside from being jealous of other player's headshots  ) but my friends have been having encounters we weren't having before. The funny thing is that while they might be able to break the game in certain ways, they're awful players. I hope the current spate of hackers is quickly suppressed. But if we're comparing PUBG to the recently dethroned CSGO, I have a feeling that the hackers are going to be in it for the long haul. And in PUBG, with a hundred players per round, you're much more likely to have a hacker in every round. Hopefully a stupid hacker.

Yeah first thing I did was turn off the chat. I do kinda regret not being able to talk to people in actual fights once in a while. I guess there's a key to bind to just mute/unmute it but I've been too lazy =P

Blue zone DOT (Damage over Time) increases when characters are farther away from the play zone
This principle does not apply to the first blue zone
It was kind of nice to know exactly when you needed to start your heal, because you knew how much damage the circles did (or used the map/timer tool)... but this change seems reasonable, depending on how they scale it.
I feel like if they're going to up the damage of the blue, they need to spawn more vehicles in consistent, widespread locations. This might lead to more firefights over vehicles in the early game, but I think they'd like that.
So my FPP squad had a high enough MMR that we were one of the 160 teams that got seeded for the IEM Oakland 2017 PUBG Invitational North America Qualifier.
Kinda freaked out about this. Never played anything competitive like that.

We actually got seeded number 43 out of 260 teams so far. Not bad, we have to check in at noon CST. I think it will be on twitch today too.
Edit: Nevermind, they just changed the seeding to this seasons MMR (and we haven't played much since we have been playing Escape from Tarkov and Destiny 2), so we are no longer seeded. We will have to see if we can get in as a unseeded team now.

Well, we were number 4, but that last match we got nailed by bridge campers..... that waited until the blue was going to kill them anyways... fuckers. We ended that last one in 11th so that will drop us out of the top 5..

They need to revamp the reporting system. I can't report the guy who suspiciously downed me because someone else finished me off. Not to mention the times when you see some getting headshot after headshot in the kill feed.
edit- I guess I could make an account on the forums and fill out a form, but that seems like a lot of work. I suppose if they made it easier to report they'd be drowning in reports.
editedit- The hackers are beginning to get to me. It's not even the blatant ones that annoy me, it's how the ever present threat of a hacker delegitimises your deaths. Before, I was fairly blase about dying, as I would just chalk it up to being out played or out shot (or if they had the circle advantage, being outlucked). I don't get angry at players who are better than me. I don't even get angry at hackers. But while each death against a better player inspires me to do better next time, a hacker death just disheartens me. As I said, it's not the blatant ones that annoy me, it's the maybe ones. Because there always was that threat of instant death, your opponent one shots you with a shotgun perfectly, or a spray of bullets hits your head. Sometimes the other player is better, sometimes you get unlucky. But each of those deaths is now tainted, and every time I die I wonder if my opponent was hacking. I can't even say "fuck that guy" because maybe they did get lucky. It isn't very satisfying.
But, I still have my mantra "any game with a kill is a good game" and I achieve it most games, so I still play.
Circle went NW, specifically georgepol 6 games in a row tonight. Like, pretty much the exact same circle. Almost thought something was legitimately wrong until we decided to just drop there. Then the circle went to the island of course.
These videos have been consistently great, but this one is particularly awesome. It's got awesome music, great clips, funny, murderous vehicles, a great intro... just really spectacular.

I guess this is what playing counter strike from the age of 6 looks like. I feel old.
Oh and thanks for starting a new thread!
Had some really fun games tonight

I belive its Ctrl + T for mute/unmute.
Your greed is yet unmatched.
Just remember: If you shoot someone, you get their loot too!

Ohh are you going? I'll be there as a spectator.
We haven't even played much this past couple of weeks. We have been on an escape from tarkov kick lately.

Shogun Streams Vidya
Client and server optimization
Added vaulting & climbing
Changes in vehicle driving
Ballistics overhaul
The link has some in depth details about vaulting and climbing (seems cool), but no details about the others.
Very real. You can play now if you pay the 40$'s for the basic version.
