I can't stop watching Dark. I haven't binged a show like this in a long time, but that might be due to my wife being out of town this past weekend.
It is really fun to watch. It isn't perfect, but it captivates me entirely. The one weird non-spoiler thing is that it tropical-storm-rains in this show every single day. What kind of climate is this?!

Cuz good lord the dialogue in eps 1 and 2 was painful
Ep 1 was egrigious. That concert scene? Who thought any of that would work?
I thought it got better from a drama perspective, but I hate everything about the 'girlfriend' character and all around everything with her is at least partially handled really badly.
I finished it out, I'm not sure I'd want to watch another season. I'd rather watch a documentary about that whole process I think(which is fascinating).
If the next season isnt a scathing reveal of the FBI learning they can abuse these tools they are creating to get what they want, I would be not happy with the message.

I wasn't bothered by that (it's a few days in November in Germany, rain is to be expected), but the scene in episode ... 4 or 5 I think? (Scene is in the trailer, so spoiler is minor)
WIth the dead birds falling from the sky? The amount of dead birds in a pretty small area just fell stupidly high. Wider area, same number of bird would have worked better I think.
Finished the series yesterday evening, overall I quite like it.

I just finished too, and I liked it as well. There are things that happened because the plot needed it to, as you said, but overall I had a lot of fun with it. I'd recommend it to others.
I'm a little worried skipping straight to Altered Carbon means I'm never going to get my Snow Crash movie.
(although I still think Snow Crash would work best a 12 episode anime from Bones)
Not that I want it to continue with him, but House of Cards is about Frank Underwood. It’s like continuing an Indiana Jones movie without Indiana Jones.
I get the whole transition to Claire thing but just writing Frank out is just narrative whiplash. I would rather they just drop it and work on something else. The show’s been kind of a letdown for a while now anyway.

Counterpoint: Robin Wright is amazing, and can you fucking imagine the moment she turns to the camera and says, "Oh, did you think that I had forgotten about you? Did you think that Frank's absence means that you are off the hook? Think again."

Huh. Well, my wife and I never made it to season 3 of House of Cards, and after the Kevin Spacey stuff came out, it's likely we never will. I'm kind of fascinated with them continuing on for another season without him, though.

Probably gonna end up like the last season of That 70's Show when Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher left. You could scrounge something together but really, nah, divert that money to more Godless or bringing more seasons of Grand Designs over here.

There's been talk of doing a spin-off show about Doug Stamper I think?

Snow Crash is a separate IP which is getting a show on Amazon.

Lotta people really like it. I gave it a shot, it wasn't for me, but there's a certain novelty to hearing Sam Elliot say, "What the fuck are those?" while pointing to a pair of UGGs and having a laugh track kick in.
Fuck Masterson, though. Piece of shit.
"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."
"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor My new novel: Maledictions: The Offering. Now in Paperback!

GotG2 is up? Fucking finally
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Masterson's a supporting character on the show, this isn't a Spacey situation. That said, House of Cards is continuing, sans Spacey -guess Netflix were able to figure out a deal behind the scenes.
Altered Carbon and, for that matter, Richard K. Morgan in general, are hardly pillars of the genre.
Yeah. I couldn't bring myself to finish that book and I love me some cyberpunk.
The teaser is pretty good at showing why. Maybe I'd check out the show, but I don't have high hopes.
Haven't read the book so I don't have an opinion on the work itself though I found the IP intriguing. What matters is how it's executed, maybe you'll like it this format? Sometimes adaptions are improved on the originals RE: Guardians of the Galaxy.

It seemed to spend a lot of time objectifying women. That teaser did the same. It might be better, but as I said I don't have high hopes.

I'd watch that, The Political Fixer.
Doug is quite emphatically the worst, and should have died at the end of season 2.
I honestly thought this was never going to happen. Happy to see I was wrong.
Here's an article which gives some early plot info. Looks like there are some major changes but I think it makes sense to fit the Netflix format.

Edit: And I see people are already going on about 'SJWs' because the cast is diverse... Wonderful.

Masterson has been accused of several rapes, with the Scientologists covering it up.

It's up for me. At least in the US.
