Well the final boss fight is certainly bullshit. You have to rely on your Ai partner if you aren't playing coop, and whooboy, she just runs off at crucial moments, you're basically not fighting the boss you're trying to finagle and coax an Ai to do what you need it to do
So the boss fight requires you to seperate from an Ai, an Ai that if you get too far from can die, and you have to rely on the Ai to know when to shoot, for someone that's beaten it is it better to shoot the rocket yourself or let the Ai do it? Basically I can't get sheeva to distract him enough for me to fire the rocket, and getting her to be in the right position to fire the rocket is also a nightmare. I can do it once but I have a feeling it'll be the rule of threes or some bs
Ok finished it. Basically I kept interrupting sheeva cos I didn't realise she was running to trigger dark areas and I had to wait for a dialogue cue to fire the rocket. Also on that third time she sure took her sweet time administering the shot, I was screaming at the tv haha
Just Cause 3 is doing a free weekend, so I'm downloading that. I've avoided buying it after hearing about all the performance issues, but I'd give it a shot for $0. It doesn't look like they did a 1X patch, unfortunately.
It's a shame because those big bases are the most fun but chug the worst. Making a game about big explosions and then those explosions breaking the game really dampens the fun factor.
I've heard nothing but negative things about the game due to it's frame rate and just generally how it runs. Makes me wonder why they released it in it's state if obviously it wasn't optimized. I've thought about buying it on sale for $5, but I don't have a one X.

You can find videos of people running Just Cause 3 on three-thousand-dollar gaming PCs and still have terrible performance and FPS during major firefights and attacking bases--or at least you could a year or two ago. I think that's still true. Basically it's a textbook example of a game with crazy physics possibilities that, when those possibilities are looked at, really doesn't run well on anything.

For what little it's worth, the co-op AI is much less irritating in 6--it has unlimited ammo, and duplicates our arsenal so it picks the best weapon for any situation and just lays it out onto the boss. But that one still has more than its share of issues.
Rather than full-on crosspost, I'll just link this and summarize by saying GunValkyrie is still awesome and it's a shame it's not BC on either the 360 or the X1. Still, it does feel nice to dust off the OG Xbox. It has this reputation for not having many good exclusives, but it's undeserved; it has more than enough to make it worthwhile, and a surprising number aren't even BC.

It’s pretty annoying that it’s become a trend for games to be released in this state and still be rewarded for it. JC3 and PUBG both being prime examples from what I’ve heard. I’d include Ark as well but I think I’ve heard that it’s better now and it was technically a Game Preview edition prior to that.

In JC3's defense, if you don't try and do any of those things--well, sort of go out of your way for it--than it's less of an issue. PUBG on Xbox is in preview (hugely lucrative preview, like it was on PC), and it also ran poorly (and still doesn't run great) on PC.
Generally speaking, any game with complex physics modeling in an action environment has a strong possibility of this happening. Suddenly, Microsoft's proposal to offload singleplayer "blow everything up" physics to online servers for Crackdown 3 makes more sense. We're going to keep having problems with games with extreme physics running badly.

Also in Just Cause 3's defense, shit like this happens all the time:
Yeah, the game is literally built around causing physics-based chaos and havoc all the time. It'd be like running into mild-to-severe performance problems every time you drove a car in GTA.
Sad thing is, the games that handle this better generally have less impressive "asshole physics", or use them a lot less often.
Don't get me wrong, Just Cause 3 is ambitious and when it works perfectly it's a lot of fun. I can't claim to know how or what to pull back on to make it run smoother, it's just something that's really hard to ignore, which sucks.
There's not a lot of games that capture the feeling of detonating mines on a tower and zipping up through the debris and opening the wingsuit to escape the carnage below
It's also a shame that Activision phoned in the Prototype remakes with even worse performance than the originals. I adore those games and am sad we'll never see another Avalanche title. Rip in pieces.

I love those games, where else can I play as VenomHulk?
I personally can't think of a single 360 game that isn't either already on the list, or available as some PS4/XBO "remaster". And I only have one request for oXBox.

I'm still really hoping for King of Fighters XIII and, to a lesser extent, Dead or Alive 4. With the former, we'd have unarguably one of the best 2D fighters of the generation on XB1, which would help with Sony having bought console exclusivity for KOF XIV.
Soulcalibur IV would be nice too, but DOA4 should take precedence given its exclusivity on Xbox 360. It was a mind-blowing good-looking game when it came out, and I think it's limited to 720p--it's interesting to think what it might look like at 1080p or higher with the same 60 FPS.

Ace Combat 6 and Crackdown 2 are the last 2 for 360 for me. For the original Xbox...my list is more extensive (MechAssault 1 and 2, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 1 and 2, maybe Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, and a few others).
| Origin/R*SC: Ein7919 | Battle.net: Erlkonig#1448 | XBL: Lexicanum | Steam: Der Erlkönig (the umlaut is important) |
Ace Combat 6 would be welcomed. Ninja Gaiden 2 would be great, since it does have occasional hardware slowdown.
I'd really like the whole Dynasty Warriors Gundam franchise be brought over, but that's getting pretty esoteric--at least Koei-Tecmo's been good about Musou games coming to Xbox One, I don't know if any of theirs are BC.
360:
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 HD Collection
DOA 4 & 5 Ultimate Oblivion (my mistake, that one is on the list and I missed it)
Out Run Online Arcade
PGR 3 & 4
OG Xbox:
DOA 3
Deathrow
Splinter Cell 1, PT, CT and the actually good version of DA
PGR 1 & 2 (especially 2)
Unreal Championship 1 & 2
RalliSport Challenge 2 (hey, I can dream)
Out Run 2
GunValkyrie
There's more, but... well, let's say I have enough reasons to keep the older Xboxes around. It would have been nice if some of the broken BC for OG Xbox games on 360 (looking at you, PGR2) had ever been fixed, too, but obviously that ship sailed long ago.
Xbox
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay
Dead or Alive: Ultimate
Dead or Alive 3
Metal Arms: Glitch in the System
Xbox 360
Bomberman Live
Brutal Legend
Bulletstorm
Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena
Condemned 2: Bloodshot
Dead or Alive 4
Dead or Alive 5
Dead Rising
Dead Rising 2
Marvel Ultimate Alliance
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Mortal Kombat (2011)
Saints Row
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
Transformers: War for Cybertron
Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team
Worms
Lotta those have remasters, sadly. Also those Transformers games are basically dead due to the rights expiring.
Yeah, I'm nostalgic enough for a lot of games to have bought their remastered versions. Shame about those Transformers games, I have fond memories of the online in those. That's a big thing that stinks about revisiting those old titles, without the online modes they cut a lot of great stuff from the games.

I can actually play it without raging at the game on 1X

That's awesome, I've been really wanting to play XCOM 2. Seemed like pretty much an overall improvement from XCOM, right?

Man, 360 releases have dried up recently. There's been like six since the start of April.
DA 2 is scraping the bottom of the barrel... HEYOOOOOooo

Completionist mostly.
My mistake, yes it is. Missed it on the list (mainly because it's not under "Elder Scrolls", probably). Corrected my list.

True, though I'd settle for the ones that made it to the US (like Tales of Vesperia) getting brought over.
Also, Wreckless from the oXbox!
