kathrena offers an alternate build for barnes meme hunter, which i think is good.
As someone who loves Meme hunter, it doesn't seem good enough. I now need 2 beasts with immediate impact. Meme hunter kinda works because you only need 2 minions.

Kathrena is interesting, I just can't see a viable deck she fits in just yet. But we've got more reveals to come so we'll see.
I don't think you put Kathrena in a deck where you're trying to get specific beasts, I think you just put her in a deck that's playing creatures and trying to tempo

She seems vastly overcosted. I would prefer a 6 Mana 5/3 instead of an 8 mana 6/6.

It's tempting to imagine highroll scenarios for Kathrena where you pull Krush for free, but those scenarios are going to be rare, judging by my time with big priest. If hunter gets a solid taunt and some removal though, she's a lot of potential value.
The thing about BIG PRIEST EZ and Meme Hunter that works right now is getting something on the board around turn 4-6. We have to wait until turn 8 to get the new Hunter Legendary out.
Bonemare was in the demo of the PVE missions against the Lich King. The Lich King played it and no one talking about the missions mentioned it. People didn't know at first whether it was a card in the actual set or a PVE only card.
Secret Agent is out a few months into 2018. Aggro is not going to have a lot of fun against a deck that can run 2x of those dragons and 2x Dragonfire Potions.

now that games last longer than turn 3, turns out 7 mana to get 9/9 of stats + taunt, part of which has charge, is fucking insaaaaaaaaaaaaane

kathrena isn't barnes, not by a long shot. she's pretty good as a 1/1 with deathrattle: summon an OP beast.
i don't think it's as good as straight barnes/y'shaarj, but we haven't seen every beast yet.
I'm kind of surprised people are excited about the druid card, none of the functions are cost efficient. You're paying in efficiency for versatility, and the game hasn't been kind to cards like that in the past.
Like the choose cards that do well are already well costed for either function (living roots, nourish, Malfurion). Cards that are just versatile but inefficient (Nerfed Keeper, Nerfed Ancient of Lore, Starfall) are fringe playable.
Getting +2 damage is probably the most exciting version, and that's basically a worse savage roar.
4 Mana to gain 12 armor is better than healing potion for your hero. It can't heal minions but you usually don't. If this isn't played it's only going to be because Jade and big druid already have so much anti aggro tools.

Eh... need to see better weapons right now I think. Especially with cutprice Death's Bite being a 4 mana weapon.

in general i'm extremely wary about the need to have them in your hand and THEN do the thing to upgrade them
druid is the only one i'm unconditionally hot on because it's a good rate to begin with

Although it's interesting, they're 2-cost secrets, so you can't run them in a deck with Keleseth. I wonder if they'll even see play.
